  • "I come here at least 2-3 times a month! This spot never gets old and I love dining here."

  • "Service was good, food was good. Dinner for 4 cost us $168 with tip... Not saying it was bad, just a little pricey for cooking our own food..."

  • "Definitely our go to Korean BBQ hangout and any time of the week! Great FOOD and Happy Hour rocks!"

  • "This restaurant is one of our absolute favorites. You can attend both on a low and high budget by involving happy hour. We love the ambiance and the servers are great. Each dinner is different because you can mix and match, try new things, and grill several options at once. I would recommend this place to anyone!! Make reservations if you plan to go on Monday evenings for all day happy hour!"

  • "After visiting LA downtown leaving there 90 minutes before reservation time on Friday afternoon, we were stuck in traffic and arrived 6 minutes passed but were served soon. Quality of the foods are very good almost not need any marinade nor dipping sauce. Salad leaves are fresh. Seasonal menus are nice for refreshment and thrill. Basically you have customized dishes each time with different combination. Organize order is also key though wait person is very patient. Also liked the space in all the fixtures and looked clean so I hope they keep the way they do for much more years to come. We certainly will come back more times to try out another combination of dishes though need to travel 100 miles, yes we're from SD."

  • "Gyu-Kaku is always my staple for taking friends out to eat - their happy hour menu simply can't be beat. We ordered from the 50% off menu the entire night with a ton of variety and were not disappointed. I've found it's best to order some meat to cook and while it's cooking order the second set - no more than 1 plate per person at a time so when you're taking it off the grill, the next set is arriving. They typically have a longer wait on Mondays as it's happy hour all-day. One of my personal favorite places to eat in Huntington, and we'll be back!"

  • "Should have gone to Gen. The portions are small given the price I paid. I would never come here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. The desserts came out of a box -- the mochi ice cream was nothing special. It's a rip-off. I also made a reservation on OpenTable and had to wait 15 minutes before I was seated when there were tables available while I was waiting. I was told I had priority but there were people who had no reservations who were seated before us. Worst restaurant I've been to in a while."

  • "Staff was very helpful. You cook your own food at the table. We mentioned it was ur first time there. Servers made recommendations and very helpful with cook times. A "must-do" experience!!"

  • "The food and service at this location has been declining since 2012. Not sure what the deal is but probably wont be back to this location. Although Tustin is a little farther, that may be our new location when this type of dining is desired."

  • "Booked a reservation for my spouse and I as well as our three kids and one of their friends. We were sat over forty minutes late. We were also sat at a little table that they were also sitting parties of two at. We had six people. We were given the same time limit, two hours, as other tables of the same size with only two people. Unbelievable. The food was better than it had been in our recent visits. The only saving grace for out Thanksgiving was the service of the waiter. Other than that, a bad experience all around."

  • "I remember coming here when the menu was amazing and the price was affordable and the happy hour was amazing. The array of cocktails and meat during happy hour is what made this place amazing. Now the happy is only decent if you like beer, wine, and sake. I think if they bring back the old menu then they will bring me back."

  • "The atmosphere was energetic, the staff was extremely helpful, and the food was delicious. My girlfriend an I had a lot of fun cooking our food on the grill an enjoying a few drinks. I definitely plan on going back and telling my friends about this place."

  • "Think of this place like a blend between Spanish Tapas and Korean BBQ. For the most part it is very good. The food is very tasty, the service well above average and it is a fun place to go in a large group. It is, however, a touch expensive. Is it worth it? Probably good for special occasions but I would find it hard to go back too often."

  • "This is definitely the go-to hot spot to eat good food and have a great time. Their happy hour is almost all day every day. I love their happy hour menu. Although I wouldn't consider the orices to be cheap, it's still very descently affordable. Their garlic noodles is a must! The sake is sweet and smooth. ..goes down too easy and is very strong. Most likely you will feel a head change after the 3rd shot. Customer service is on point!"

  • "We arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation time. When we arrived there where five parties waiting to be seated and I was thinking to myself good thing I made reservations, wrong, we still had to wait a very long time. I'm pretty sure not all five parties made reservations. We waited over thirty minutes, only after they sat all five parties before us. Come on, if you don't care about reservations why even bother taking them. I don't mind waiting 15 minutes, but waiting 30 minutes over our reservation time is unacceptable! Never again..."

  • "I enjoy coming here to entertain friends, you can drink, cook and chat and eat as much or as little as you wish. I just don't like the gimmicky menu. Food is one price at this time or if you order this with that you get a break ect ect. Somewhat embarrassing if your taking a date or treating friends when they explain all the specials."

  • "Late night gem located far from the usual hot spots. Staff is on point, ambience is perfect for date nights or a group of friends. I get the happy hour drinks because... no need to explain myself. Value plus delicious food with a fun environment."

  • "We made a reservation for 7pm and showed up early at 6:45. We were told that they were over booked and that even though we had a reservation, we would still have to wait for maybe an extra half hour. We ended up waiting 45 minutes and then we're seated. Service was just ok at best and then I was charged the wrong amount in my credit card. Note to the manager, please change your reservation policy, because there were A LOT of people like us that made reservations and had to wait just as long."

  • "Food was fine, as usual, though a bit salty for me, which says a lot. I also expected it to be busy as it was New Year's Eve. However, we were not seated until 40 minutes after our reservation time even though we arrived 10 minutes early. Doing the math, we waited a full 50 minutes. I wouldn't have minded waiting if we were walk-ins, but how can you run so far behind with reservations? Why bother taking reservations at all, if that's the case? If you're going to be open for a holiday, be prepared for the crowd."

  • "A week in advance, we made reservations for 2 for New Years Eve at 7pm. They were pretty unorganized and we ended up waiting 35 extra minutes for a table. I understand the 'system' messed up, but it was just a bad way to handle NYE. Other than that, the food was delicious and the service was pretty good."

  • "I made a reservation for 9:45pm & checked in about 15 minutes early. When I checked in the hostess said it would be a 30-40 minute wait even though I had my reservation, because others who didn't have a reservation needed to be seated first. - Which pretty much defeated the whole purpose of making the reservation in the first place. My party (of 2) was seated around 10:15. The food was good except the garlic noodles were a bit mushy. The server was a little rushed and we felt like we were being talked at rather than talked to. At the end of the night, he dropped off the check, came back and says "is this ready or not?!". A little rude if you ask me. Only thing worth it was the mega mug & the filet mignon.."

  • "Hostess that day that I went was HORRIBLE. She was not friendly or welcoming at all. Not only that but I waited 45 minutes after my reservation and still wasn't seated. Few other groups that arrived after me was seated before me. I finally went to her and asked how much longer I have to wait, as i saw, my name was on the top of the list, with other name under me crossed out. She finally said you are next. After that, 5 minutes later she sat me right in the of the restaurant, where no one wanted to sit because it was cold that day. Right after I sat down, she went to sit another party of 2 at another table inside. She was very rude and I dislike my experience at the restaurant just because of her horrible service."

  • "Gyu-Kaku is quite a large international chain, and frankly, one wouldn't expect a stellar experience, but considering that, this is a pretty nice place. I think it has slipped somewhat since it first opened in terms of both service and food quality, but obviously not enough to keep me from coming back. Service is pretty quick, but usually friendly. The seasoned meats sometimes tend to be a bit salty (which says a lot coming from me), but not too bad. Overall, I can't say I've had a bad experience here. In case you weren't aware, it is the kind of place where you grill your own food, for the most part."

  • "I took my boyfriend there for the first time as a surprise and he absolutely loved it! We went on a Monday night when it was happy hour all day so the prices were great. We ordered a wide selection of appetizers and meats that he loved. My only complaint is that i had an 8 o'clock reservation, showed up on time, but was not seated until almost 8:30. I don't understand why take reservations if they are not going to be met. That i strongly did not appreciate."
