We both felt as though our waitress was not very accommodating. We were seated in the red table section. I think we would have liked the booth section better. I'm thinking that maybe the booth section is for reservations only and the red tables is for walk ins. Great prices and even better food. The servers are friendly and ensure that you understand the menu, how to grill, etc. And you really can't beat the price. The dinner groupings are the easiest way to eat when you go here. Also, the drink prices were so reasonable. $5 for a beer or a glass of wine. Unheard of in Chicago. We loved everything about the restaurant. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. At first observation, I didn't think we ordered enough food. However, by the end of the night I was full. For dessert, we ordered the Banana Caramel Cheesecake “Xango" and it was the best dessert I've ever had. Therefore, it was very important dinner, and Gyu-kaku completely fullfilled my expectation!
Also, I need to say as one of Japanese that Gyu-kaku is one of the most famous Japanese BBQ restaurant in Japan, as well as the taste in this restaurant is very close to in Japan.

My group ordered a couple of meat or veggie selections each and shared - that was more than enough food. The daily drink specials are a plus as well.
