  • "We had reservations and was seated promptly. Server was great. Very attentive and gave helpful suggestions. Food came out quickly and the noise level was nice especially since we have a toddler. May not be ok for the older crowd but covered up her outbursts without disturbing other guests. Would go back."

  • "Went with my daughter pre-theater. We were seated very quickly, but not asked if we were going to a show. Made it out in just under 45 mins. The Calamari and the mac and cheese were both excellent. The Red Mojito was also really good. The shrimp po boy was nothing special."

  • "The menu was interesting and the atmosphere was vibrant. Lots of things to see. Clean and tables not on top of one another. Had the meatloaf and it was good."

  • "We were excited to be visiting Guy's. Reservations for 4.45. Restaurant was quiet at the time which was unusual for NYC, but figured it was a little early. Our table was upstairs, in a corner and out of the way. Odd since there were many empty tables. My husband ordered wings and ribs, which he enjoyed. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich without coleslaw. When I received it, It was smothered with coleslaw. And my youngest daughter ordered mac and cheese. She ended up eating 2 forkfuls and said it was horrible! The rest of my family tried it and agreed! It tasted sour!! The waitress did take the mac and cheese off of the bill, for that we were thankful. So sorry this restaurant turned out to be a dud!! Don't waste your money here."

  • "We loved very second of this experience. We had the garlic French fries, macaroni & cheese with chicken and pulled pork sliders --- all of the food was exceptional but the Mac n cheese was so good we ordered a to-go ordered and brought it home so out family could try it!!"

  • "Very good place to bring your family after a day of sightseeing. Fun, good food, reasonably priced and convenient location. Service was great from the host to the waitstaff..although the busboys were a bit over zealous and removed a couple of plates that still had some appetizers on them."

  • "We chose this place because of its desirable location to theaters. Arrived early for our reservation, so we sat in the bar for a drink. There was quite a variety on the drink menu. Nice appetizer and entree selections. The service was alittle slow but other than that, it was a very pleasant dining experience."

  • "Guy's American Kitchen is located in the heart of the theatre district. It's a great location if you plan on walking to an 8:00 p.m. performance. It is family friendly and has some unique cocktails. The food is good. We loved the garlic fries. The atmosphere was similar to a Hard Rock, very masculine. Our wait staff was above average."

  • "This was THE BEST roasted chicken I have ever had! It was so juicy and delicious, I savored every bite and made sure to get every last bit off the bone, so fabulous! We got seated right at our reservation time, the staff was very courteous, the waitress was very friendly and the food was so good. I have already told friends to try it out!"

  • "We enjoyed our dining experience there very much. I had the shrimp po' boy, which was wonderful! My boyfriend had a burger, and my son, had another sandwich, that I can't remember the name, but he ate every bite, and said it was delicious. The calamari we shared for an appetizer was FAST, and perfect with lemon and the spicy garlic/oil dip... that was good. The waitress was friendly, and attentive. The drinks that I had were delicious -- get the Crazy Cab Driver. We got there earlier than our reservation and they seated us right away, and the service was excellent. We would definitely eat there again. The only problem that I had was that they were out of the Guy hooded sweatshirt I wanted in my size."

  • "My daughter, granddaughter and I enjoyed lunch before seeing a Broadway show. Guy's is right across the street from several theaters. The food was great and so was the service. My gluten-free dairy-free diet was easily accomodated in a delicious flavorful way."

  • "Food was okay, but not really worth the price. Hamburger was decent; pretzel chicken fingers were very average. Service was slow but got the job done. Best I can describe the restaurant? An over-priced Applebee's with a great location."

  • "The meatloaf and chicken Waldorf salad were both excellent. We had a group of 5 and we all split the chicken bacon mac n cheese and could not stop raving about it. Our waiter was courteous and well informed on all the dishes. We definitely will be going back"

  • "We shared the Mac and cheese with chicken and the pretzel chicken tenders. The Mac and cheese was amazing and we would definitely get it again. The chicken tenders were dry and tasted like something you would get with a kids meal...edible, but nothing remarkable. The service was ok; we never got drink refills, but that seems to be typical of New York restaurants."

  • "It's Times Square so you have to take everything with a grain of salt but the check-in to get a table was crazy. Very harried staff, large groups waiting, but lots of empty tables. Kind of confusing. The building itself and artwork is cool. The menu was ok. Our server was fairly hands-off and unenthusiastic about everything. Once we put in our orders the food came very quickly, but we had to wait a few minutes for silverware :) The food wasn't very good unfortunately -- Guy has a tendency to add something sweet to every dish. I got the volcano chicken which was chicken breasts and mashed potatoes slathered in a sweet sauce and stale fried onions on top. Very uneventful. I did LOVE my jalapeño margarita tho :) Would not return. Sorry Guy."

  • "Great location and good atmosphere, and good for a quick burger before a Broadway show, but unfortunately, most of the food is of poor quality and the service is average at best. Disappointing for a restaurant with Guy's name on it."

  • "Guy's location is very convenient for taking a break from sight seeing or pre-theater, but if I wasn't right in the neighborhood, I would rush to come back. The food was just ok. The service was also. Even though we told the waiter when we sat down that we had theater tickets with a 7:00 curtain (our reservation was for 5:00) we didn't get out of there until 6:45. We waited a long time between courses, and a long time for the check. Drink refills were also a challenge. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great."

  • "I was very excited to dine at Guys while visiting New York ; however, it was a BIG let down. I ordered the "Filet" mignon medalions 10 oz and mashed potatoes-$31.00. The cut of meat WAS NOT Filet Mignon. It was very grainy and tough. The tables are so close together you can not carry on a conversation with whom every you are with unless you scream like everyone else is doing. Very loud. Would NOT recommend this place."

  • "Guys American Kitchen is located near Broadway so it is a great place before the theater. The food is delicious and there is a variety of choices from sandwiches to main entrees. The group I was with especially enjoyed the selections of grilled chicken and the shrimp poor boy.The tropical punch drink has a real kick and goes down easy. I fun night for everyone!"

  • "Food was the best part! They brought me a dirty dish in the beginning, which happens. The staff, with the exception of the host, needs more training as I was blatantly ignored twice and almost brought the wrong food. Other than a few bumps in the road, place is beautiful, food is amazing, and I would still and can't wait to go back!! And by the way, as far as dress code goes, it's perfectly acceptable to wear jeans and sneakers. But you won't want to because the place is really cool right by Times Square in the Resturant/Theater district. BUON Appetite!"

  • "To start, the service was not great. My review almost said poor. We waited to be greeted, waited almost 10 minutes for sodas and had to hear the drama of the server (who struggled with the few tables he had). We ordered an appetizer and salad to come out at the same time. They did not (the restaurant did not charge us for the salad due to the error). The steak salad was bland, simply bland. The steak had no flavor, the beans were dry and the lettuce tasted like it came from a bag. Of note: the pork tacos were good, bordering on great. It was sad. I have been to Johnny Garlic's several times. Great food. This restaurant is a block off Time Square, it was 9pm at night and the place had SEVERAL open tables. Hate to see that."

  • "The Tuna Taco by far was the best!! We had a party of 5, so we sampled each other's dish. The Tuna was everyone's favorite. 2nd place was the mac and cheese. Rich but delicious. Others liked the meatloaf. The ribs were the least favorite. Beer and cocktails were normal for NYC. We made our reservation the day before and arrived a littel early. After a short wait they seated us upstairs in a room that had only 2 other tables occupied. The room was major cold and loud. We asked the server to please turn the speakers down since it was basically just a few of us in the room and nobody was really watching the tv."

  • "A wonderful place with excellent food and fabulous service. Ate here before seeing a Broadway show. The Pulled Pork sliders were outstanding. Paul our waiter was kind and friendly and provided excellent service. And the Triple Double Pie was a thing of beauty. Definitely two thumbs up!"

  • "This was a great, family friendly restaurant which I would dine at again! The Motley Que Ribs were outstanding and the GM is a jewel! She was Very hospitable with us "out of towners". (Our server samone, however, didn't offer good service, so again the GM was receptive to our feedback and ensured it would be addressed)."

  • "We had an early dinner after a matinee. The service was good and the wine selection by the glass was better than usual. When the food came we were very pleased with our selections. The flavors were great and selections were on the healthier side for us. My only critique would be the tuna was called sushi grade. It was good, but not that dark red sushi like tuna."

  • "My wife and I went to Guy's before a show on a Wesnesday night. We made reservations and were seated at a table next to a doorway. We asked to be reseated away from the thoroughfare and our request was met without incident. After our great-tasting pulled pork taco app, we were looking forward to our entrees: The Chinatown Chicken Crunch and the Roasted Rotisserie Rosemarie-Garlic Chicken. My wife's chicken was dry, but the potatoes were excellent. I happened upon two pieces of plastic in my salad. The first I bit down on and the second I saw before I chewed. We called our waitress and she got the manager and the meal was comped, so they took care of us, but it was still disappointing."
