  • "Outstanding meal. Flavor of both of our meals were great. Hulu Hulu chicken for me and bacon wrapped shrimp for my wife. Loved it."

  • "I was very excited to dine at Guys while visiting New York ; however, it was a BIG let down. I ordered the "Filet" mignon medalions 10 oz and mashed potatoes-$31.00. The cut of meat WAS NOT Filet Mignon. It was very grainy and tough. The tables are so close together you can not carry on a conversation with whom every you are with unless you scream like everyone else is doing. Very loud. Would NOT recommend this place."

  • "Food was the best part! They brought me a dirty dish in the beginning, which happens. The staff, with the exception of the host, needs more training as I was blatantly ignored twice and almost brought the wrong food. Other than a few bumps in the road, place is beautiful, food is amazing, and I would still and can't wait to go back!! And by the way, as far as dress code goes, it's perfectly acceptable to wear jeans and sneakers. But you won't want to because the place is really cool right by Times Square in the Resturant/Theater district. BUON Appetite!"

  • "I was really expecting a more vibrant decor when I came to Guy's American Kitchen. The subdued atmosphere was quite underwhelming for a patron who was expecting half a camaro to be hanging from the wall and the wait staff to have frosted tips just like Guy."

  • "We had an early dinner after a matinee. The service was good and the wine selection by the glass was better than usual. When the food came we were very pleased with our selections. The flavors were great and selections were on the healthier side for us. My only critique would be the tuna was called sushi grade. It was good, but not that dark red sushi like tuna."

  • "When we first arrived at the restaurant for our reservation, so much confusion upon check out not with our reservation but with other patrons. Very inexperienced hostess staff. Wait staff completely lacked training. Things really went down hill when my 5 year old son noticed the white table cloth on the table was completely filthy and was merely covered with paper on top, the waitress called someone to change the table and to reassign us to the table directly behind us but the table was exactly the same. No excuses were given and a manager did not even come over, the restrooms were a mess, the food was sub par, perhaps Mr. Ferri should spend more time on his own establishment than going to others."

  • "To start, the service was not great. My review almost said poor. We waited to be greeted, waited almost 10 minutes for sodas and had to hear the drama of the server (who struggled with the few tables he had). We ordered an appetizer and salad to come out at the same time. They did not (the restaurant did not charge us for the salad due to the error). The steak salad was bland, simply bland. The steak had no flavor, the beans were dry and the lettuce tasted like it came from a bag. Of note: the pork tacos were good, bordering on great. It was sad. I have been to Johnny Garlic's several times. Great food. This restaurant is a block off Time Square, it was 9pm at night and the place had SEVERAL open tables. Hate to see that."

  • "The Tuna Taco by far was the best!! We had a party of 5, so we sampled each other's dish. The Tuna was everyone's favorite. 2nd place was the mac and cheese. Rich but delicious. Others liked the meatloaf. The ribs were the least favorite. Beer and cocktails were normal for NYC. We made our reservation the day before and arrived a littel early. After a short wait they seated us upstairs in a room that had only 2 other tables occupied. The room was major cold and loud. We asked the server to please turn the speakers down since it was basically just a few of us in the room and nobody was really watching the tv."

  • "A wonderful place with excellent food and fabulous service. Ate here before seeing a Broadway show. The Pulled Pork sliders were outstanding. Paul our waiter was kind and friendly and provided excellent service. And the Triple Double Pie was a thing of beauty. Definitely two thumbs up!"

  • "For someone who goes into New York once every two years or so for a mother/daughter day, Guy's provides name recognition with great food. The pretzel chicken appetizer with horseradish sauce set just the right tone for a festive lunch of a Shrimp Po'boy sandwich and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Service was attentive without hovering, and the dessert recommendation hit the spot. All in all a very pleasant, relaxing, and tasty "before the show" lunch."

  • "I was disappointed in the food. My husband and I both ordered the Chicken Waldorf sandwich and it was rather bland. We also ordered the pretzel chicken tenders and it was bland too. My daughter did like the spaghetti and turkey meatball. The one plus was the service. Our server was very good. She was friendly and attentive. Also, the bathroom was very clean."

  • "Food and wine is pricey, but typical f or Times Square area. Food is nothing to write home about - portions are huge - definitely recommend sharing. Nothing outstanding."

  • "My daughters and I went into NYC for lunch and a play on broadway (a Mother's Day Gift) and chose Guy's because we didn't want to much food but enough to satisfy our appetites before the show. The menu had great choices, and we were very happy, since each of us had different cravings! The Chicken pasta dish was delicious and a good portion. As was the salads. Everything was outstanding The host was very pleasant. And the waitstaff attentive."

  • "My wife and I went to Guy's before a show on a Wesnesday night. We made reservations and were seated at a table next to a doorway. We asked to be reseated away from the thoroughfare and our request was met without incident. After our great-tasting pulled pork taco app, we were looking forward to our entrees: The Chinatown Chicken Crunch and the Roasted Rotisserie Rosemarie-Garlic Chicken. My wife's chicken was dry, but the potatoes were excellent. I happened upon two pieces of plastic in my salad. The first I bit down on and the second I saw before I chewed. We called our waitress and she got the manager and the meal was comped, so they took care of us, but it was still disappointing."

  • "One has to have ecpectations with Guy Fieri of Triple D. This place barely made average and therefore was a severe dissappointment. Best feature is location. If you are going to a Broadway show It is just steps from most theaters. But the service, food and ambience are all lackluster. It started with the hostess. We were ignored and had to ask to be helped. Then she led us to several different tables as though she had no idea where to seat us. After we were seated we were ignored for a good five minutes. No water, no nothing. When our waitress did show she was abrupt, unfriendly and unhelpful. Buffalo meatloaf was like cafeteria food over packaged mashed. Bread pudding was heavy. Cookie pizza was hard and chewy. No reason to return."

  • "Food was cold... buffalo fries were re-fried, not edible, there was no potato left in each french fry. Really disappointed. Should have followed recommendations to skip this restaurant!"

  • "The food and service were excellent! We couldn't have had a better dining experience. Wish we found Guy's earlier in our visit."

  • "I had higher expectations for this restaurant. The service was great but the food was just average. It was a bit over prices for what it was."

  • "What a great find right in Times Square. The menu was filled with great options, we tried the Nachos and Pretzel Crusted Chicken. Both huge portions and delicious with every bite. And, the bacon-wrapped shrimp was so well prepared you do not know where the bacon ends and the shrimp begins. The Service was attentive and the seating was comfortable. I would go back here again to try more of the menu items!"

  • "Was in town and met friends there. We all loved it! The food was great"

  • "The food was unremarkable! It was overseasoned and over configured. I was expecting something on the order of a diner showed on Guy's show. Unfortunately, this is not the case at this restaurant. The worst was the wing style french fries. There was some type of gloppy mess on overcooked french fries which truly did not work."

  • "I took my daughter to Guy's for lunch for her birthday. The Sashimi Tacos are awesome as were the brown sugar wings. I had a burger and it was excellent with Donkey sauce on it. I would definitely recommend Guy's American Kitchen and Bar to everyone. Also picked up his new cook book.!!"

  • "The food and the service were both excellent. The prices were reasonable for NYC and we enjoyed the experience. We brought our kids and would come back here the next time we are in NYC."

  • "Menu was limited and pricy for food that was just OK. Wait staff was very slow."
    Dined on 6/11/2014
  • "We went with our kids after a family day in the city and were extremely disappointed. The bathrooms were gross, the server knew nothing about what was in the food and my kids wouldn't even eat the chicken fingers or Mac n cheese because they failed to say there was bacon all over it. Will not return!"
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "We went here not expecting much but wanted to know what the hype was all about. Well, we now know unfortunately that it's the sub-par food and terrible service that you'll get when you're here. The food is not terrible, but honestly tastes just like your typical chain restaurant (like Applebee's) the combinations are strange when it comes to the flavor (BBQ pulled pork tacos? Avocado Egg Rolls?). But despite the food, it was the neglectful service that made this the worst experience I've ever had. We ordered two appetizers for our table and I had to walk to the waiters station myself, and grab plates for the table. No refills on the drinks, etc. Definitely not the flavortown experience the restaurant advertises."

  • "We went to New York City specifically to dine at a different restaurant. We passed Guy's on our way to out hotel. Didn't know he had a restaurant so we stopped their for lunch the next day. I had the Shrimp Po'Boy. Im not one for fried shrimp but I loved it! Cornmeal was used instead of batter and it was well seasoned. My husband had the Big Dipper. He enjoyed it. He also had the chilli. Now, my husband makes a killer chilli of his own so I have a very high standard on chilli. Guy's was Amazing! So flavorful and the sauce wasn't soupy. It had skinny fried potato sticks that added a crunch that was not anticipated but very much enhanced the dish. If we ever go back to NYC we'll be sure to go back there just for the chilli!"

  • "The only problem I had was the service was a little slow. There were people who came after us and left before us. Overall, the food was great and I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu."

  • "You never know what you will find in places such as Guys. What we found was place that is just you would have exoected if you follow any of the Food Network shows. We went to try it as how cool would it be to At Guys. Ask me in a minute as we polish off the bacon Mac and cheese. This in not a place for those who do not want to indulge in the foods you all love. Fries that smack your taste buds, burgers that ooze of flavor, that's what you get here. I even had the Ceasar Salad and was just as yummy. The chicken fingers were ok, but the rest brought us back for a 2nd visit in 2 days"
