Diner Reviews
  • "We all ordered something different, and it was all amazing! The mac&cheese is so delicious! This is a must eat if you are in NYC. My daughter wanted to go back everyday of our visit :-)"

  • "This was very convenient for after theater dinner."

  • "This is a place in the Times Square vicinity that offers food reasonably priced. Is it memorable? No. To be fair ,neither of us had any of the signature dishes. What we had was filling, not overly priced, and the waiter was very nice. Would we go back- maybe if someone wanted ribs."

  • "Are reservation was a party with 6. Was taken to our seat quickly, drink order was taken as soon as we were sitting down. Every one like what they order. Was wanting to go back for lunch, but didn't make it back in time"

  • "Good food. Great Service. Food came fast and waiter was nice, attentive, but not pushy. Exactly what we were looking for. Chill out time."

  • "Stumbled on this restaurant by Guy Fieri while walking to a different place for Saturday dinner. But I like Guy, so we reserved lunch here the next day. Very interesting menu - if you know Guy's cooking shows you can see his influence in the dishes. A word of caution - the jalapeno infused Caliente Margarita actually has a ground jalapeno in the drink, seeds and all. Can I say HOT. But the food was excellent. The two of us shared nachos - easily more food than we should have eaten. Then I had the pulled pork sliders (3) and my wife the fried shrimp Po-Boy. We both brought food home which made a tremendous lunch at work next day. Great place, would recommend this to friends, and will go back"

  • "When an appetizer's named "Dragon's Breath" you think you'd get a spicy food, right? Well, although the Dragon's Breath chilli cheese fries were pretty good, they had no "kick" to them. Worse yet, the service wasn't all that great. Our waitress smiled a lot, but she never cleared our finished / dirty plates before bringing our next course to us! Yuck! Also, I guess she thought I didn't need anymore water since I had a cocktail (I drink a LOT of water all of the time)."

  • "I took my mom here for her birthday, while we were visiting Times Square, My mom is a huge fan of Guy so I thought she would get a kick out of the atmosphere and eating at a restaurant of a chef she admires. She had a great time, the food presentation was beautiful, but it was overpriced for what we got. The service was great but not as much fun as we thought it would be. Being a single parent on a strict budget, this restaurant used a big chunk of my NYC fun budget."

  • "On a recent dinner to celebrate my granddaughter's 16th Birthday, I had the ribs. They were amazing!!! The sauce was a bit sweet, just the way I like it and the ribs were meaty. My granddaughter had pasta, which she had moderate praise for....."It sorta tastes like what I get at TGI Friday's." The restaurant is decorated to reflect the famous chef, which we enjoy on the food network. The thing that made the ambience is distasteful to us....they had recessed lighting but some of the bulbs facing us were spot lights. Need to fix that pronto! I would go again, but would ask to be seated in a different location."

  • "Not much to speak of - I heard the place had been panned, but I wasn't going for 4 star dining. It's expensive, but I wasn't paying. If you're into the celebrity chef as a draw for a place to it, go there. If you want a decent burger, go there. If you're looking for anything special, different, or affordable, just avoid it."

  • "We went to Guys American Kitchen for dinner. We arrived alittle bit earlier then our reservation but were seated immediately. The food was very good and the portions were very large. Everyone in my party enjoyed the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. This was a resaurant that we have been wanting to try mainly for the name, however, it did not disappoint. We have already recommended it to multiple friends, and we look foward to going back in the future. The price point was also very similar to many restaurants in the city."

  • "Awesome menu selection! Very unique choices along with staple favorites. I highliy recommmend this reastaurant! Try the bacon and chicken mac and cheese. Save room for dessert as well!"

  • "Had reservations at noon on a Sunday. Restaurant was empty when we arrived. Had to wait forever for someone to even seat us. Then the wait for a server to acknowledge us and take a drink order was awful. We stayed because we heard the food was great. But the service was AWFUL. It was too bad. Totally ruined the meal."

  • "The menu is well thought through, all dishes I would think really reflect Guy's eating attitude & experience even down to the cocktails, but the kitchen I don't think does."

  • "Good in the Theatre District for a reasonably priced meal. Service was slow so give yourself time. Nothing very fancy"

  • "Been there before. Took a group of 10 back. Not impressed this time around. Very crowded. Food was just good. Service was just good. Wish I better to report."

  • "No real complaints but this place was just OK and all about the name on the door. The menu was small. The food was edible. I feel no need to ever go back."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "Although the place was crowded we were seated within 10 moiniutes as my reservation was honored. The place was crowded and noisy, but it is good for a casual dining experience. We had a burger and the big dipper. It was delicious."

  • "Having watched Triple D on TV I wanted to try Guys place. The staff were very attentive, the ambience was good. Good choice of music not too loud. The food was great. Good size portions and very tasty. Would definately recommend and would visit again!"

  • "Ate here for dinner, 4 of us had reservations we made on the net. Good food, fair price. not the Guy atmosphere with the staff. Just a typical restaurant."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "Had a great time. Menu was perfect for all as it had typical dishes for the kids with just enough of a twist to them to be a little adventurous!"

  • "I'm a huge fan of DDD & Guy so I had high expectations. Our food was really good, but not for the price that they charged. 3 sliders and cold french fries for +$20... no thanks. I had a chicken & mashed potatoes dish that was super yummy, but I don't think I'd come back for it. I understand that having a restaurant by Time Square is the reason for the price, but walking a little off the beaten path would have been worth a price decrease in the food."

  • "Great for tourists. I fell for it. Food was just ok. Guess my expectations were too high? I realize it is "american kitchen" but certainly could have had more healthy options. My teens loved it."

  • "I have to say the atmosphere was great - really nice all around. The food was great too, we had the burger and pork sliders. Everything flavor wise was excellent! The service was ok - I felt bad for our server he had a bout 8 tables all at once, coming from a restaurant background you could tell he was an awesome server, just overwhelmed. When he was at our table he was very attentive explained everything we asked I gave him a lot of credit. The only thing was the prices were alittle high I know we are paying for the name but I was surprised to see how high they were. All in all I would definitely recommend the burger it was really really good."

  • "The food was spectacular. Wide variety for every palate..Our table had Cajun, to Hawaiian, to "the best burger I have ever had". The atmosphere was so relaxing and the décor kept you intrigued. Not a large menu but something for every taste. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!!"

  • "Great food -- only complaint was seating. We showed up for our reservation and there was a long wait for walk ins. Instead of giving us a table in the restaurant, we were put at a small table in the bar that was essentially open seating. The table was small and the area was crowded taking away from the experience. They apparently wanted to hold the restaurant tables for walk in parties. Made no sense other than to keep some of the others from using the open seating in the bar. Detracted from the experience but the food was good,"

  • "food in general was delicious but the California rolls stood out the most. Margarita was good but the sangria was lacking flavor and fruits."

  • "We came here after a show at a theatre across the street... super convenient location. Sat us even though our whole group of 8 hadn't arrived yet. Waiter was very friendly and service was quick. Menu isn't very extensive but food was good overall. Kids loved the Bacon Mac & Cheese... highly recommend this dish! A little pricy for what you get but I think that's typical in most NYC restaurants. Good beer and music! Would go back again and/or recommend to a friend."

  • "Guy's own restaurant would never qualify for his TV show. We booked our reservation weeks in advance, arrived to a half empty restaurant and the host tried to seat us next to the restrooms. Seriously?! He even gave us attitude when we asked for a different table. We have been to a few places Guy highlighted on his shows (and they were great) so we figured his own restaurant would be decent. All our meals were so overdone and dry. What a disappointment. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner? I don't think so."

  • "We enjoyed ourselves at Guy Fieri's restaurant in Time Square. Food was very good and service was exceptional. You MUST try the Italian Nachos! They were amazing!!!"

  • "My friend is a huge DDD fan, which is why we decided to make reservations for lunch before going to see a show. Our server was great- very pleasant and attentive. The food was very good as was the presentation."

  • "We went there to celebrate my wife's birthday before a show no wait great service and staff and we even stopped back after the show with no wait or troubles of any kind"

  • "This was our first time visiting Guy's and it was great! We went before our matinee show and were out of there in plenty of time. I had the sushimi tacos!! To die for!! My friends had the pretzel crusted chicken tenders....they could have shared one order, you get a lot."

  • "Visited this restaurant whilst on holiday from the UK, managed to book at table which I would recommend. The waiting staff were attentive, the varied menu would cater for most needs. The food was served quickly and was of a very high standard also tasted delicious. I wasn't sure about the deep fried ice cream but my son thought it was fab. Would recommend a visit."

  • "We are fans of Guy's Triple D show and expected a bit more. Food is not bad but certainly nothing special. Very overpriced for what it is. It is close to the theaters so it's convenient."

  • "This restaurant was very good but there's very limited items on the menu. It would be nice if there was a larger menu with more choices."
