Diner Reviews
  • "I can't say anything good about our dinner at Guys. Our linen table cloth was dirty around the table (they had a piece of white paper covering the top) so the top looked Clean but the sides were disgusting. We ordered the ahi tacos that were not fresh. You could smell the odor of the fish even before eating them. We sent them back. We had 2 salads that were doused with dressing...the only thing my daughter liked were the French fries. Such a disappointment."

  • "This was our 1st time dining at Guy's. We enjoyed it. I want to return with My Sister & Her Family. We will be back regardless, only next time it will be for dinner. Our server Lisa was very nice and took great care of us."

  • "I took my 4 year old and 2 year old and it is kid friendly. They have a decently large kids menu but it could have been simpler. Gourmet mac and cheese isn't needed. They also didn't have any milk. My food was ok, I expected more flavor. Certainly not anything that was fantastic or stood out. My mother in law ordered the Big Dipper which was very good. I wish I had ordered that too. The garlic fries were also good. The restaurant is clean and roomy. The bathrooms were also very clean."

  • "2nd time I visited Guy's American Bar and Grill, this time we were seated in the basement and there were 2 large childrens Birthdays going on down stairs we were seated in a kinda private room and I would of preferred to sit on the main level or even the bar area. The Mac & Cheese was a good size portion and since were were going to the theater half was wrappped and given to another person in our group to take home. Downside was they only cook their burgers medium well and the person who wanted likes them medium rare so eating a burger was out of the ?"

  • "Having travelled from Scotland for a week's holiday in New York and having enjoyed Guy's burgers on a Carnival cruise, we decided to have our final night dinner at Guy's. The food and atmosphere were both excellent, as was the service. Our ten year old daughter also loved it. My only disappointment was the lack of XXL Morgan's Ale t shirts, as I would have bought one."

  • "My husband and I stopped in for dinner before our show at the Helen Hayes Theatre. We booked through Open Table. We arrived half an hour early and were seated immediately. We had drinks and appetizers. We requested that they not bring the dinner out too soon, they were happy to accommodate. When the entrées arrived they were hot and delicious. We had the fried ice cream for dessert...Awesome. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

  • "We had a marvelous experience and my 2 13 year old grandsons thought this was the VERY best burger they ever had! Would highly recommend for casual before theatre dining and the service was great to boot!"

  • "The Mötley Que Ribs are the best ribs I've ever had. We sat downstairs which is a huge space. Perfect for office parties. Love the decor of the restaurant as well. The place is a gem."

  • "After a day in the city must husband and I decided to try Guy's. I had heard mixed reviews from some people buy wanted to make my own decision. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the staff was very friendly. They recommended the "guys italian nachos" as an appetizer so we ordered them and were not disappointed. They gave you a good size portion and it was delicious. Our meal we each got were also good. I ordered the ribs which were huge and spicy, and my husband got the shrimp poboy. Would definitely recommend this place to our friends."

  • "Service was prompt and very friendly, quite willing to make sure we enjoyed the meal. The food was great. We absolutely fell in love with the parfait dessert ( strawberries, pound cake, salted whiskey caramel sauce) and the Cali eggrolls... We would come back again and again for those alone!!! We love trying no places, this one is a find!"

  • "Fantastic location for the opportunity to sample Guy Fieri's style of cooking. Tuna taco appetizer was as good as I've had anywhere. The ribs were top notch. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Value in terms of quality and quantity of food is in the top tier for this area in Manhattan. My only recommendation would be to offer some daily specials."

  • "I expected this restaurant to be burgers, fries, and chicken wings. Instead, it had burgers and a variety of other choices such as New York strip and a very tasty pork loin. The food was great and the ambiance was very nice as well. My only complaint, if any, is that the main level was a bit noisy. I would definitely recommend it to my friends."

  • "It was our second time a Guy's and my opinion hasn't changed. If you like food inspired by DD&D, you will like Guy's American Bar and Grill, if you are looking a fine dining experience you are in the wrong place. Felt a little more rushed this time around, which I did not appreciate, our meal, including dessert was over in about an hour. The level of service was not as good as the last time, it was fine in terms of efficiency, just felt very flat and lacking in terms of personality and warmth."

  • "Service and staff great. Food just so-so. Had some cheese fries and the cheese wasn't melted and had to be sent back and corrected."

  • "So close to the theater which was really convenient. I was so looking forward to Guys' American Kitchen - My wife and daughter both enjoyed their Volcano Chicken but my triple fried Vegas Fries (appreciated they comp'd me on them) and wings were disappointing :( I would order something else next time for sure. Otherwise, great staff...friendly and fast service. Local craft beer was good!"

  • "We were in NYC for the day and decided to go for a late lunch/early dinner! It was outstanding; we had the ribs and huili huili chicken....both were delicious. The prices were quite reasonable for NYC! We highly recommend it.....we even bought 2 cookbooks!"

  • "Good but the menu was limited. Even the beer selection. Good kid options and a good bar scene. The layout provided space for both families and bar goers. Good be great if the menu improves. My wife and I had the tuna and the pork shank. Both good but the tuna was a bit of a thin cut and over cooked. The shank was very good. That was a keeper. The kids mac and cheese should be an adult side option. Very good. As were the pretzel breaded chicken fingers. There need to be a few more options and better consistency. It appeared to be designed for volume and turnover more than return visitors."

  • "Had dinner prior to a show. Was running late and they held our reservation and had us in and out with time to spare. The Italian nachos were fantastic as were the Caesar salads and pretzel chicken. Would highly recommend."

  • "We very much enjoyed our dinner at Guy's restaurant! It was a first trip to NYC for my sister and my mother. We started our visit with the top of the ESB...then to Guy's for dinner. It was a fun and tasty start! Our hostess and waiter were very friendly and efficient. Our food was very good. The noise level is too high for an intimate dinner, but that is not what we were after. I would definitely recommend Guy's place to others!"

  • "Was disappointed in the food at what I hoped would be a remarkable dining experience. The atmosphere was quite fun and the server was excellent but the food was so so. The choices were limited and not as interesting as I expected from a restaurant from the "Diners, Drive Ins - Guy""

  • "The food was great. No issues with that, the server was arrogant and didn't appear to care what we would like or what we wanted. The fruit flies were awful. It appeared that the servers we had were not worried about our needs but more concerned about what was going on in the area. Can't say that I would suggest this to others as there are many other resteraunts to eat at. We needed a glass of wine replaced due to bugs flying into it and it was replaced with the incorrect wine."

  • "I was a little disappointed with my visit. When I made my reservation I indicated that it was for my daughter's 16th birthday. That morning they called to confirm that we were still coming for the birthday. After we ate our meal I asked our waitress for dessert with a candle in it. She told me she could certainly bring dessert but probably not a candle. Well I guess they found a candle because a little while later they brought over the dessert with the lit candle, plopped it in front of my daughter and walked away. Not sure why they checked on the birthday!"

  • "My bestie and I has been planning to eat here for over a year. We finally made it and boy was it worth the wait! The tuna tacos were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Vegas fries but got scared to eat them all for fear of gaining weight, haha (yes, they're that good!) For our main course we had the salmon and the chicken with BBQ sauce---yummy! Highly recommend this foodery!"

  • "Too spicy and too salty. You are catering to a WIDE variety of people. Spicy is FINE...but this was overboard. It's not Flavortown...it's out in are you kiddingmeville. Red and Green peppers mean...red and green peppers. Not jalapeños. Ouch. Mac n' cheese needs to be cheesy. This was...not. Calamari dipping sauce was just clarified butter and not much more. It wants...nay...needs a sauce. Volcano fries don't need wasabi sauce...they need something to contrast the spice. Damn. The food was executed well but the menu itself is...off. I was expecting an exploration of flavors...not this is the hottest stuff we can legally make. I didn't want the other reviews to be true. I went in with an open mind but this didn't do it."
