Whole experience was great. Any dress acceptable, wooden booths and tables. Nothing fancy. Salads were prepared well and very tasty. Seafood and steak dinners were a 5 star experience. Wait staff was attentive and respectful.
I am in sales and eat at 3-5 restaurants a week. Although this was not a romantic or impress your customer type of dining facility, a tasty meal for the price was there.

I had Swordfish and my wife halibut, both Chef specials. For desert we had a mango bread pudding, who knew that they went together. This place is great for any occasion.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous foodI recently returned from trips to New York and to San Francisco where I did enjoy some fancy restaurants. The food at Guppy's matched many of them. The calamari Asian style appetizer was innovative. The salad was fresh with a Caesar like dressing that was delicious. My tuna was wonderful. One of my guests was not happy with the lamb as it did not match the description on the menu. The other two guests both enjoyed their trio of fish although two of the three were much better than the cobia. The wine special of the day was a Pinot Noir Overall superb food in a casual atmosphere at reasonable prices.

The Asian Ahi tuna salad ( as suggested by our lovely server) was exquiste and perfect for lunch. We usually order from the daily specials, which are always delicious, but decided to try the salads from the regular menu. Wow! There was nothing regular about those entree salads! The food is always great in a relaxed setting. Dress up or shorts and flip flops work just fine. The menu has a wide range of choices in different price ranges. You are sure to find something you will enjoy. Hint: Try the Risotto Cake. Great appetizers and we never felt rushed. Prices ranged for entrees in the $15 to $30 dollar range. So depending on your selections prices were very reasonable. Plate presentation was excellent and meal proportions did not leave us hungry. We were there on spring break so depending on the time of year you go you will need to make dinner reservations or be prepared to wait anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. And to finish off the meal get one of the desserts. They were spectacular.
