A word from Gulliver's Restaurant
In the last four decades Gulliver’s Restaurant has became one of the most popular Prime Rib Restaurant in Southern California.
Gulliver’s hand-selected beef (corn-belt) is slow roasted in a unique patented oven system to assure flavorful, tender and juicy Prime Rib dinners. Gulliver's Restaurant is well known also for its other specialties as in-house aged Prime Steaks, Chateaubriand, Salmon, Rack of Lamb, Baby Back Ribs and roasted Long Island Duck.
As you walk into a Gulliver's you will feel as though you have entered back in time to 18th century England. Guests at the Gulliver’s are surrounded by a veritable museum of leaded glass pieces, pewter and ceramic objects, and a collection of prints from Hogarth, Rowlandson and other Gulliver’s Travels illustrators.
The Portions are huge, the service is gracious and friendly, and most importantly, the beef is cooked to perfection.
Gulliver's is place where memories are created.

Diner Reviews
  • "Although it's been there since 1970 it was our first time there and we were pleasantly suprised and how good everything was!"

  • "Had a great dinner with really great service, attentive and personalized to our requests. Yorkshire pudding was a bit non-traditional (essentially half of a 6 inch pie), but the meat was well seasoned and presented well. Delicious creamed spinach! Desserts were underwhelming and a bit overpriced. The trifle was a long away from what a trifle should be, in this case it was simply a dense layer cake with fruit sauce in between and whipped cream on top. Bar tender made great martinis and was very alert to our requests. Host was very welcoming and was keen to ensure that we were satisfied with every aspect of our dining experience."

  • "Everything was great. My wife loved the Chateaubriand as did a friend who was with us. The prime rib was very good. I just wished it had a little more seasoning in the outside. We enjoyed the escargot. They featured a Shiraz which was very good and not too expensive."

  • "I have been to Gullivers before, but it any girlfriends first time. We had the filet mignon bruschetta, which was outstanding. Then had a bowl of clam chowder, which was outstanding. I ordered the "Brob" medium rare and my girlfriend ordered the turkey dinner. She said her food was good. Mine was really good. I recommend going there in an empty stomach. Our server was really nice and attentive."

  • "We made reservations for 9 to celebrate my mother's birthday. My husband and I had gone there on a whim the weekend before and told my mom about it. She thought it sounded good and asked to go there for her birthday dinner. The prime rib was great, as was the rack of lamb. I had a ribeye that was good, but made me wish I had gotten the prime rib again since it was far better. The sides of creamed corn and creamed spinach were delicious and served in copious amounts and the the twice baked potato was tasty as well. I wish I had gotten just one bite of that fabulous trifle birthday dessert, but sadly it never quite made it to my side of the table. The food was great, the service was good and they easily accommodated our large party."

  • "Seen this restaurant for years and finally had the chance to dine there. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised at the incredible food that was served. My Gulliver prime rib was bigger than I expected. It was one of the most tender cuts of meat I've ever had! My wife ordered the vegetable plate and was shocked at the large size and selection of her plate (even included red potatoes). Both of us had ample leftovers that we gladly took home :- ) Their included creamed corn was the bomb! We'll definitely be coming back here again."

  • "Took out of town friends to Gulliver's as they wanted steak. They said it was one of the best they ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The bartender remembered all our drinks and they do a very fair pour. The interior is warm and comfortable like a big living room."

  • "We always love coming back here. Outside of my husband's prime rib which takes a big party to make it worth preparing-Gulliver's has the best prime rib ever. We eat out a lot and no one has come close to them. The atmosphere here is dark but well-decorated with seasonal themes. You are welcomed to a cozy fireplace in the waiting area."

  • "Took my wife to Gulliver's for Valentines Dinner on Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and we had an "end booth" to eat. My wife had the double Lobster Tail dinner and I had the Prime Rib. Dinner was excellent. Had Crème Brulee for dessert. It was also excellent. Gulliver's cream corn is a must try also."

  • "We hadn't been to Gulliver's for a while and didn't already have a reservation somewhere else so we decided to try it. Big mistake. The place is completely run down and really looks awful. They pushed us to a table near the back right up against two other tables that were fortunately empty. The one for sure item I thought would be great "end cut prime rib" was just not. Even being the end cut it had no flavor what so ever. It was just a bland, soggy piece of meat. Even the creamed corn had no flavor. All the salt and pepper in the world didn't help either of them. Too bad. Someone should just put this place out of it's misery."

  • "WE had a great day at this restaurant, celebrating birthday for my friend. Being the last day of holiday weekend, the place was quieter than usual, and because of that we were treated with great service. We always enjoy this restaurant where we visit at least once a month (if not more!)"

  • "Cafeteria food at best, however my friend likes it. My view is that it's barely passible for lunch. Positive note: management is eager to please and is happy to replace anything."

  • "We dine at Mastro's, Morton's, Flemings, as others well, but this place trumps them all! No better place in The OC!"

  • "Excellent food and the restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. What a treat to have dined in "English Christmas" at English restaurant!"

  • "we had a very bad experience. service was very slow. we had a 7:30 reservation and didn't get our food until almost 9pm. our table was up against a wall and if was tough to get into the seats on that side of the table."

  • "Gulliver's is a very nice restaurant. It was festive and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The service was courteous and efficient. However, the food is just average. For a restaurant that's trying to offer a similar experience to Lawry's and Five Crowns (and at a similar price), Gulliver's comes up short. The prime rib was fine, although lower quality than Lawry's. Pretty much everything else was very average and left something to be desired. Gulliver's is fine if you're in the area, but seeing how I live closer to Lawry's in Beverly Hills, I just can't see going back to Gulliver's. It's not worth the money or the drive. For people in the OC, I would suggest Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar."

  • "It is a tradition for my wife and I to dine at Gulliver's on New Years Eve, sometimes with friends, sometimes just the two of us. Our waiter, Shane, was great. A pleasant, friendly personality, and eager to please. The food was excellent. My wife had filet mignon and I had the salmon."

  • "Food was great, large servings, everyone friendly and in good spirits. Only sad thing was the train under the Christmas tree was not working:-(( Disappointed our 6 year old granddaughter, but she enjoyed all other things on and around tree. We'll definitely be back."

  • "Gulliver's is a beautiful restaurant, especially at Christmas time - and very festive also! We recently had a prime rib dinner there before going to the theater. We split a very tasty Caesar salad and both had their wonderful prime rib dinner. I ordered my prime rib to be cooked as medium and it was just perfect. As usual, we ate lots of their creamed spinach and yummy creamed corn. The servings were huge - enough for lunch the next day. Gulliver's is a favorite of ours because it is always such a pleasant dining experience."

  • "We went to celebrate the holidays with friends. The room was decorated beautifully. Service was a little slow but they were packed! The food was okay. Two of us had the prime rib, one of us had the duck and I had the roast chicken. The chicken was dry & when my friend mentioned it to our server she quickly asked if I wanted something else, which I did not. She brought over the manager & he insisted I try the prime rib. They also asked if we wanted a free dessert. I don't think many restaurants would do that. I wouldn't necessarily come back for the food but I would for the service."

  • "Great quality, service & decor can stand the test of time, and Gulliver's has made it! ! ! Hadn't been there in 10 years, but it was as good as I remember it. When you want an exception meal ! ! !"

  • "Everything was perfect! Service, food, atmosphere , everything. Best of all, the price was right. One of the best dining experiences we have had. Many, many thanks for a memorable evening. We will be back!"

  • "I was really up for a prime rib dinner. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice, a little dated. The food was mediocre. The beef was dry and the veggies over cooked. I will not return. For the money it was not up to par."
    Dined on 11/23/2013
  • "Had not eaten at Gulliver's for over 20 years, but last night it seemed as though only a few weeks had passed since our last visit -- in a good way. If you have to have the latest in fusion food amidst minimalist décor, Gulliver's is not for you. But for tasty prime rib and creamed corn to die for in a cozy atmosphere that's a throwback to the fine dining of yesteryear, Gulliver's hits the spot."
    Dined on 11/23/2013
  • "Service was really great, the food was good...next time I'm not getting the end cut...just medium rare. The corn and spinach were terrific as ever, AND they let us choose Bread Pudding for my Birthday dessert!!"
