I haven't been to Guaymas in years and used to love it. Well, I still do! We were there for lunch and decided to have appetizers only but they were so tasty. Guacamole was excellent, the empanadas were cheesy and scrumptious and the quesadillas were delicious. It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside. It's an outstanding view and the atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The service couldn't have been better. Highly recommend!

This is the our first time to this restaurants, and is one of our favorite local restaurants for group celebration and special occasions! The food has always been pretty good, although service is a bit slow, but pleasant service by our server Hailey(spelling?). The down side, was that we requested pitchers of margaritas and they were really watered down with too much ice! We were a group of 9 celebrating 2 birthdays, and Hailey surprised us with a very nice flan dessert to blow out the candles...nice treat! I will gladly recommend this restaurant to friends!

We had a lovely lunch there for my husband's birthday. The guacamole was wonderful. The Huchinango snapper was good, but the tortilla soup was only so-so. We have been told that they have great margaritas, but had a long drive home, so didn't get to try them. They even brought a flan to the table to celebrate his B'Day. We will be back to enjoy the spectacular view and the great service.

We have dined at Guaymas a dozen times or so in the last 10 years and had always enjoyed the experience. This time was the exception. The food was not good but it was the lack of service that really ruined the meal. We tried to get the attention of our waitress numerous times for additional drinks, water and condiments without success. We ended up finally catching her and just asked for the bill so we could leave.

A slow night, so there were few people and the noise level was refreshingly placid. Portions are very generous and filling, as well as tasty fare that departs from the usual Mexican menu, while offering many of those favorites, as well. I keep coming back, again and again.

The Mar y Tierra!! The carnitas! Oh my. We wanted to go back again the next night but were headed to another port! Fantastic find.

I suggest you make reservations on the weekend since it gets packed with tourists from all over the bay area. We love to go eat on Saturdays or Sundays and see the events of the weekend. Great spot to view Fleet week too! We enjoyed chicken enchiladas and steak tacos. Food is always fresh. Service was a bit spotty last Sunday since the restaurant was packed. It was fun anyway and we both enjoy the food there. Now they have a Happy Hour too you should check out! GREAT DEALS on drinks and food! You won't be disappointed~ Happy Eating!

We ate on the patio with a stunning view of San Francisco. We used to eat at Guaymas years ago, and it had a more interesting menu. Now, it just seemed like a typical Mexican restaurant menu. We ordered guacamole - yum!, a good romaine/jicama salad, enchiladas that were average, and a vegetable plate and ceviche that both just weren't quite right. The salsas (verde and red) and chips were good. We had a creamy and lovely flan for desert. The service was attentive and good.

Was in Tiburon on the weekend with an out of town guest and decided to try Guaymas given their location. Food was fair, at best. Service was very poor: not bringing the correct orders and then forgetting to bring one of the orders, on top of slow service at a time when the restaurant seemed a third full. If it wasn't for the view and the margaritas, it would have been a total write-off. The loud overhead music (we were there at 2 pm on a Saturday) was a hodgepodge of techno-pop -- quite strange for a "Mexican" restaurant.

This used to be my favourite Mexican food hangout in the early 2000s. I ate here countless times and was never disappointment, last in 2007, then I moved away from the Bay Area. Roll forward 5 years and this place has dropped signifcantly in their food choices & quality, but most of all in service. It's now just about the view of the ocean on San Fran. While the food isn't "bad", it's now just average Mexican food you can get anywhere in California for much less. What a shame, I used to really like this place.

My first trip to San Francisco and I wanted to eat somewhere not too expensive on the waterfront. This was a great spot, it required driving across the Golden Gate Bridge and nice drive on the other side. The outdoor seating are is very pleasant in spite of an occassional encroachment by a seagull or pigeon. The food was good and the service commendable. The only complaint was that we ordered a pitcher of margaritas and were brought the frozen variety, expecting on the rocks. She didn't ask if we wanted the frozen (and we neglected to specify) All in all a pleasant evening.
