GuantanameraMother's Day dinnerWent there several times before. Excellent food, friendly service. Sometimes a little noisy but this time we had a more quiet corner table. Our menu choices were delicious, as was the pitcher (!) of sangria that magically kept appearing in our glasses. Our waitress was absolutely superb, as were her suggestions of the grilled calamari in garlic and the lechon main course. Did I mention the sangria - it was some of the best I have ever had. We were there early for dinner, so unfortunately we missed the live music, which sounded great as we were leaving. The mojitos were right on point, the appetizer, while small, was delicious, and the entrees were mouth-watering. The food was delicious and the live music was a lot of fun. Definitely a lively place which was exactly what we were looking for. We found a groupon for this restaurant which made the night even better, although the prices are definitely very resonable for nyc. Food portions were just right. I had the Pernil with Moro and Yuca which was very tasty and shredded.
The music was just right and awesome band playing my parents classic type of music and they had everyone into it . I was offered the downstairs dining room but opted to wait for a table upstairs which was a good idea because my wife a Cuban also could see the band play. A great place to celebrate an occasion or just life itself. Everyone wants to please you. The hot food is rushed to your table and the consistent delicious food keeps us coming back.
