Grub Steak RestaurantPC Locals SecretI have lived in Park City for almost 8 years now... I've only been to the Grub Steak 3 or 4 times. That is definitely going to change! The specials are great, the prices are great, their choices are great, their wait staff is great! A little off the beaten path which is nice. There was live music that was perfect. I try to get to both each year. For $26.95 you get everything, including omelettes and crepes cooked to order. I love the way they have separated their extensive appetizer table, the hot bar, and the TWO dessert tables. They are placed strategically around the dining room which makes the crowds separate among the four different tables so there is never much wait, if any, at the buffets. Their food is very fresh and the chef does some amazing things. The wait staff is very attentive and they make it clear they want your dining experience to be a positive one. I cannot say enough good things about Grubsteak.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed our evening herewine list had good selections PNW, Napa, Sonoma, Spain, somewhat expensive side based on the specific selections. most waiters think they should "FILL THE GLASS" when they pour wine.... Had to move our bottle out of reach of the waiter. We had Lamb which was excellent. For the type of menu and service, the music at times was simply too loud. The musician, no doubt is talented, but when the apex of "yippeeey eye OH KYYY YEAaaaaaa was hit, it literally pained our ears, no exaggeration - not what a foodie would expect while savoring lamb and red wine...... We really liked the menu selections and will definitely be back for more but we might bring some earplugs for certain of the music. I made the resrevations on-line and it was super easy. They sent me a confirmation and two follow-up emails before our reservation.
The staff was friendly and explained the salad bar to us before we all ordered. Six different dishes from Rib Eye, NY Strip to Salmon. The salad/soup bar had enough choices itself and would have been easily satisfying on it's own. The wine menu had something for everyone and the prices seemed fair. When the meals arrived all were cooked as ordered and delicious. Not a complaint from anyone. Our waitress was great. She was attentive and knowledgable.
