  • "I have been there during the week and the service and food has been good. I went there Saturday and had to wait an hour for the food we ordered to be brought out. The waiter was no where to be found during this time as we also needed a drinks. After we paid the bill and are putting on our coats they stopped by the table with our bread."

There was a guy singing karaoke country music which was so loud that we could not heart a word our server said and could not carry on a conversation at our table. The food was pretty good but expensive for a place where we didn't really enjoy the atmosphere. I may have rated it higher if it wasn't for the music."

It took exceptionally long for them to bring out our main courses, despite the fact that the manager was roaming the floor and conversing with patrons. The food was somewhat bland and uninteresting, and our pasta dish came out cold and especially bland. Manager was good at addressing our concerns, but then we waited an extremely long time for the bill. Will not return."

  • "My friend and I were seated in the bar area. Our server was great & attentive. Our entrees and apps were cooked well & tasty. For dessert we had apple cobbler which hit the spot. The presentation was outstanding for everything. My only gripe is that the tables are too close together. My chair must have bumped 5 times by the staff and another 5 times by other customers just trying to navigate their way to the bathroom. It got old after a while. We were also seated near the bar pickup area for staff. The manager lingered in that area often and at times, staff was actually brushing against us or nudging us while waiting for their drinks to me made. Would I go back? Yes. But this time I know where not to sit."

  • "While the food was excellent and the service that we received from our waiter was excellent, drinks were slow in coming, as were appearances by our waiter. He seemed to be running in all directions. My impression is that they are lacking in bar staff, waitstaff, or both. This was the case every time we have eaten there. I don't know what it is like at lunchtime, having only been there for dinner. But if dinner is any indication, you probably won't have time to eat lunch there if you have a job. All in all, though, if you're not in any hurry I would recommend trying Grillestone."

  • "This was our first visit and even though we made reservations we waited a long time I so many empty tables by the bar so asked if we could sit there and that's where we sat. Steak sandwich was excellent but my girlfriend has to send back the margarita pie since the sauce had a weird taste. The noise level was a louder than I prefer but the place was crowded on this Saturday night."

  • "My fiance and I decided to try this place out for a late Valentine's weekend dinner. The Prime Rib Buffet is offered on Sunday nights between 4 and 9 pm. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated right away. There was no line at the buffet so we were able to walk right up and get what we wanted. The salad was good, plain mixed greens with tomatoes. There was also peel and eat shrimp, roasted potatoes, broccoli rabe, fried chicken, BBQ ribs, Snow crab legs and of course the prime rib. Everything was very good. Very well seasoned and at a decent temperature. The only suggestion I have is that since this is so popular maybe only allow people in that are going to partake in the buffet."

  • "Upon ordering a Valentine's Day special I was supposed to receive champagne, which I didn't. We had to ask for soft drink refills, which I think we shouldn't have had to. Wood floor is very slippery--especially with 'snow wet' boots on! Tholugh rack of lamb special was just 'fair;--disappointing."

Has a modern look and price is right I was expecting it to be much more expensive - a very pleasant surprise. Our waitress was full of advice and guided us in ordering the best drinks and food. Overall a fantastic location for a romantic or group night out !"

  • "Went to Grillstone on a Friday evening for a quick dinner. The food was good though not memorable since I do not remember what I had! What I do remember was how bad the serve was. The waitstaff walked around aimlessly. The waitress took the order but servers brought out the food and of course asked where each dish went. no one ever stopped to check on how things were. we had to ask for our bill and it took forever to be delivered and equally long for it to be picked up. The decor was pleasant and contemporary."

  • "We were seated under a set of lights with a mind of their own, constantly dimming and brightening. The waiter he said he knew about it for a while now and that the management didn't want to bother fixing it. It was distracting and took away from the meal. After the salad plates were cleared it took 15 minutes before the entrees arrived. When I mentioned it to the waiter he again made excuses by saying the restaurant had a party of 30 on the other side and only 4 chefs in the kitchen. I did not care for my baby back ribs, even though they fell off the bone, they were overcooked, dry except for the light coating of sauce and obviously pre-prepared to some extent. Noisy atmosphere. A so-so experience that cost a little too much."

  • "After celebrating my birthday there exactly one week before, my father wanted to celebrate his birthday there, too. Half of the party (who was also in attendance the prior week) had the PrimeRib Buffet Special again. I ventured out and had the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich. It was heavenly! I highly recommend. The Manager made some special arrangements for us and the server was very nice but service was very slow. I understand the holiday rush was happening but we were a bit disappointed in how slow it was. But the food did make up for it."

  • "The sauce that covered the seared shrimp and scallops was terrible as was the accompanying asparagus (old and over grilled) and the cauliflower purée (it was brown and tasted terrible--I love fresh cauliflower) The Caesar salad was mayonaissey and had too much dressing. To be fair, my husband thought the duck was quite good."

  • "An enjoyable experience was had by all in attendance. Server was attentive to our needs. The food selection provided a variety of delectable choices from hamburgers to steak along with seafood to soup and salads. Our group was very pleased with the food and I enjoyed my shrimp and scallops with asparagus. Would definitely return on another occasions. One of the teachers in our group stated that she may return with her husband in the very near future."

  • "The service was good, food was great. The only issue was that the light above us kept dimming throughout our dinner and was the only one that we could see doing that. It was kind of annoying but it did not ruin our meal. When restaurant is packed as it was on a Saturday evening, it was a bit on the loud side. My wife and I had the raw oysters which were outstanding. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the braised short ribs with root vegetables and creamy risotto. Both dishes were fantastic. I would recommend to friends and would go back again."

  • "Grillestone has been open for three years on Rt. 22 but it took us until this past Sunday before we stopped in for the Sunday Brunch Buffet. Now we are wondering why we waited so long. Along the north wall of the restaurant and almost halfway down the east wall Grillestone prepared for us a fantastic all-you-can eat buffet. Aside from the normal breakfast staples (French Toast, Pancakes, Waffles made to order, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and an omelet station) and the seafood (sliced salmon, shrimp and crab legs), there were numerous hot entrees (from chicken to pasta) and a carving station. But take our advise and don't sit in the round booth for brunch! Prices are reasonable (~$18 for Adults, $10 for children, and under 4 Free)."

  • "Grillestone has a good kids menu and is loud enough inside that it is good for groups, but not so loud that a couple will get drowned out. The food is good, generally, not great. It has a good beer list. Overall, it's a good choice for a night out."

  • "My food was not good. And when I told the waitress her comment was "I'm sorry about that I will let the cook now" and our bill was 70.00. !! Really ?? However my husband food "fillet Mignon" was very delicious and quesadillas ! But that's it !! Do not get the sole fillet stuffed with wet crabmeat ! Then the sole seemed not cooked well . The shrimp on top was also not good no flavor what so over ! Horrible experience for a first timer . To each it's own.."
