Grille 116 is a "Freshly Elevated" dining experience from culinary concept, practice, and customer service; wrapped in a "CHIC" and "METROPOLITAN" atmosphere. The menu is "American Contemporary" and extraordinary. All of the steaks are organic and 100% Hormone Free. Our fish is locally caught or flown in to provide you with the freshest seafood available.
Grille 116 is large enough to create energy and atmosphere, yet small enough to provide superior food quality and superior service. Try a few of our guest favorites: Our signature pretzel bread-twisted golden brown and steamy from the oven with accompaniments. The bread is irresistible; you"ll need seconds! Cubes of beautiful tuna are laced with chili sauce and piled on delicate fried won tons in Grille 116's tartar. Beef and grouper sliders, perfectly seasoned and incredibly moist, with pickles and fancy mayo transforming the interior of the doughy bun into a glorious combination reminiscent of amped-up White Castles.

  • "Looking for a Sunday brunch and though they do not do a specific brunch menu (hint hint) their menu filled the bill with some surprising taste and presentation touches. We shared some Nuskie's bacon and a side of Mac n cheese. Great combo. Fish was firm and fresh with great sauces. Ended with a donut split four ways and again, the sauces and creme freshe rocked. I love how their booths muffle the sound but not the action."

  • "Helen was our waitress and we were made to feel so welcomed and not rushed. Nuske bacon app was awesome as were the cocktails! Just after placing our dinner order, the light in the ceiling began dripping (very stormy outside) and the manager rushed right over and quickly moved us to another booth. He would allow us to take our drinks and insisted he get us fresh ones. He and Helen couldn't apologize enough and we didn't care - it wasn't their fault. The dinner entrees were delicious - scallops and grits and a ribeye so tender. We forget about going to this place but will make it one of our favorites. New menu was very fresh!"

  • "I have only two complaints.. the food was good.. but does not command the price. the service from Joseph and asst.. was phenomenal.. the appetizers superb.. we had the Kobe sliders and cocktails. Both the aps and the watermelon cocktail and bourbon were well received.. The entres were good but overpriced. The service was top notch.. Simply the best. Joseph was an A+ server.. Among the best in the business. I'd recommend G116 for the food and service.. And ask for Joseph.. Though all staff were top notch. "

  • "I know I can always count on a great experience at Grill 116. This time we took a couple of friends from Canada, and they have traveled the world, and eaten in many places. They kept commenting that this has to be the "Best food they have ever eaten". This was also my first time using "OpenTable", and it was wonderful. Quick, responsive, and absolutely no hang ups.   • "The atmosphere is a chic-urban laid back feel. The food was excellent, from the house salad to the seafood combo with a 4oz side filet. My wife ate the sea bass and loved it. We thought the light-up menus were cool and tech savvy! The service was top-notch as well. No matter who the server was that was passing by, they took our empty plates, replaced our utensils and filled our waters. Great awareness and initiative! We're local here in Tampa and will be going back in the future to try other dishes."

  • "Great place for date night or special occasion. Light up menus are unique Service was 5 star, drinks a bit expensive, unique and delicious! I had the Shiso Elderberry Smash, a Tanqueray with lime and elderberry, yummy and highly recommend. Celebrated my birthday here and glad we chose this place. The fried tempura lobster were melt in your mouth superb. Hubby got the kobe steak which came on top of a sticky rice and slice of pineapple. Other table mates enjoyed tuna tar tar salad and grouper piccatta. Was a very nice touch when they brought out 4 donuts with a candle, comped for my birthday. Delicious end to our very satisfying meal. Yes, it was a bit pricy but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and go for it! "

  • "This was our first time dining here for dinner. We each ordered a steak entree and appetizer salad as starters. Waiting for the salads to be served, we caught the attention of the manager in the dining room and asked if there was any breadsticks or bread being first time diners. He replied that the restaurant did not serve bread, but that he would bring us a loaf of pretzel bread. Shortly, after the salads were served the bread arrived. Later, when the check was delivered a $5 charge appeared for the bread. The bill was paid without complaint. Yet after having spent over $75 on dinner, we felt it was a bit too 'nickel & dime'! If you need to charge for a small loaf of bread, then inform your diners in advance that it's an appetizer item!"

  • "My boyfriend, friend and her husband went to Grill One Sixteen in Carrollwood during Valentine's Day weekend. We had a great time. The ambiance was excellent. Our waiter was outstanding. The hostess was very friendly. The food was good. Nothing special and a little expensive but good. Each couple was provided with a complementary desert to share. A decadent chocolate cheese cake. The lights are dimly lit which set a nice mood for a romantic evening or special occasion. We set in a cozy booth which gave us a nice feeling of seclusion. The restaurant is fairly small too which increases the feeling of intimacy. We had a greet evening and would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend."

  • "Likely my fault for venturing out on Valentine's Day, but the experience was a disappointment. Upon arrival, the hostess staff looked frazzled. Not much of a warm greeting. Our initial table was in a make shift area likely used for storage on a normal night. My husband asked and we were quickly moved to the dining room. Server was pleasant and mostly helpful and cocktails were great. I ordered the strip and was served a ribeye. Finally my strip steak came out, but was drastically under-cooked. I let it go as I was ready to end the experience. My husband ordered sea bass and it was tough and fishy. He changed his order to a strip as well and his was overcooked. Our side of grits were cold and flavorless."

Service was excellent, drinks and wine just right and the food was fresh, tasty, and of ample portion. A great atmosphere, and not one that I would expect to find in Carrollwood. The lighting is appropropriately dim, and the lighted menus are a life/eye saver. A wonderful farewell dinner"

All equally delicious. The bar is a fun place to sit and very comfortable, we even decided to remain there for dinner one night rather than go to our table. Bottom line, great food, beautiful ambiance and excellent service."
