We were seated on time but the restaurant has changed into a loud bar scene. We asked the hostes to seat us upstairs in a quieter spot. She didn't, even though I asked for a different table. She seated someone at the table I requested ((in a quieter spot) after we were seated. The food was fair. The only redeeming value was the waiter Jason who did an excellent job, but I would be hard pressed to come back

went last Thursday with girlfriends who haven't been together in many, many years. We walked to our table through a young, vibrant bar crowd. Noise level was high so our waiter seemed to have a hard time hearing us, but the food arrived and his suggestions were spot-on. The food was good and my friend who needed gluten-free options, was able to choose from a separate menu, which was key. We LOVEd the live music - he was really great and we were bummed when later we had moved to the bar, we saw him packing up. Oh well, next time. I would go back.

Walk thru an energetic bar to get to the restaurant area. The menu was so close to a J Alexander's, I had to ask if they were part of the same company; I was told that is was not. Food and service matched the price of the food and the ambiance of the establishment.

First of all the people were super friendly! The server was polite and explained the items on the menu without any attitude whatsoever. Most of all, the food was amazing! I got the filet mignon and even though I got it well done, it was super tender and still juicy! Nom nom nom! I'd definitely go back again.

Grille 401 is my " go to" staple for business luncheons on Las Olas. The ambience is good, food is constantly good and service is attentive but not overly so business discussions can be productive and unlike so many places you can hear one another!

I have been a regular at the Grille for some time now. This time we had a great waitress called Annie, she was sweet, knew her food and delivered great service. I would recommend the Rib Eye, as it is absolutely delicious but the "to die for" dish on the list is the white chocolate Breadpudding with mixed berries - incredible! Like always we will be back :)

Yes, this used to be more of a high-end, big city, neighborhood place. Now it is a very noisy, young professional gathering place. So if you like your restaurant crowded and energetic, this is your place (we did go on Friday evening at 7:15 PM--probably the most congested time). The patrons are not just dropping in after work--they are dressed for the occasion. This is a destination spot. The food is absolutely delicious--and reasonably priced for fine dining. Two very attractive bars, lots of booth and indoor tables, outside seating on busy street.

We went on a Sunday night, 8pm reservation. By the time our group found parking (door said there was valet but there was none to be seen) we were all seated by 8:15. Little did we know kitchen closed at 9, so the waitress politely told us we needed to order before the kitchen closed. Food was delicious! Great menu! We had a mix of apps and mains, and all were satisfied (sirloin, crab cakes, salmon, grilled artichoke, slides, kale salad and tartar). However, mid-main course the waitress came back again to ask if we wanted desert again bc the kitchen was closing. Open table had an 8:30 option for reservation. Sure glad I didnt pick 8:30! Had not been rushed, would have gotten 4-5 stars!

Went here on recommendation and YELP reviews. Didn't think about it being Friday night, bar was packed and noise levels very high due to that, which is to be expected. They seated us upstairs near the back, so noise level was fine until the DJ started at 9PM (Upstairs is open to lower level). Service was exceptional, immediate greeting and our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. I drink a lot of water and she kept up with me :). Crab fritters were good - very different (very thin fried phyllo as outer coating). Had trout (good, slightly dry - and restaurnt without tartar sauce?) and skirt steak - yummy! Kale salad as a side was very good. Would recommend it other than Friday nights if you want to chat.

Grille 401 is a nice place to eat and we go there often. Of course we live in the neighborhood and we think it is one of the places in the area. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Wait staff is friendly. My only negative is that the food comes out too fast. So beware, only order your appetizer first. Then when finished, order your dinner. Overall, a very nice place to eat. And if you are into the bar scene, it excels.

This was my second time to Grille 401. Both times I was with a group of ladies. The food was really great. I had the crab fritters both times and they are seasoned to perfection and don't feel heavy at all. We also shared the white chocolate bread pudding and we could not get enough of it. One order can easily serve 4 people and 3 of us devoured it in no time! Once the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost of the wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Will definitely be returning.

The evening was perfect from the pre dinner drink at the bar to the dessert after dinner. Our server Ryan, was one of the best servers we have ever had. We started with the FORBIDDEN LOBSTER ROLL with a market price of $20. It was delicious and contained at least 1/2 a lobster in it. Then we ordered the SEASONAL SOUP which was Pasta Fagiole. Fresh garden veggies and the broth was great. Main courses were the BONE-IN RIBEYE 16 OZ....Outstanding flavor and a TUNA BURGER that was tender and superb. For dessert the homemade KEY LIME PIE was just tangy enough to never want to stop eating it. The prices were average for the neighborhood and for a special evening it was certainly a memorable night.
