  • "Food now is wonderfully consistent with wonderful service to boot...nice menu...so much better than a few years ago...upgraded front bar was brilliantly designed and executed....now my local fav for casual meal...the Bell and Evans half chicken is great...and well priced at $20."

  • "varied menu from hamburgers to steaks, The service was excellent. The portions were generous and the food was well prepared. The ambiance was nice and the noise level allowed easy conversation. We will definitely go back."

  • "The scallops with white beans and spinach... To die for but they're in competition with the bread pudding - the best of each food group!!! I keep saying I'm going to try something different but I'm drawn back to those selections with every visit to the restaurant. De-lish"

  • "A wed night in the dead of summer and the place is hopping. Live music outside, bars inside and outside filled with people. This spot on Las Olas Blvd. has really become the place to be. Plus, great food!"

  • "We went on a Sunday night, 8pm reservation. By the time our group found parking (door said there was valet but there was none to be seen) we were all seated by 8:15. Little did we know kitchen closed at 9, so the waitress politely told us we needed to order before the kitchen closed. Food was delicious! Great menu! We had a mix of apps and mains, and all were satisfied (sirloin, crab cakes, salmon, grilled artichoke, slides, kale salad and tartar). However, mid-main course the waitress came back again to ask if we wanted desert again bc the kitchen was closing. Open table had an 8:30 option for reservation. Sure glad I didnt pick 8:30! Had not been rushed, would have gotten 4-5 stars!"

  • "Went here on recommendation and YELP reviews. Didn't think about it being Friday night, bar was packed and noise levels very high due to that, which is to be expected. They seated us upstairs near the back, so noise level was fine until the DJ started at 9PM (Upstairs is open to lower level). Service was exceptional, immediate greeting and our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. I drink a lot of water and she kept up with me :). Crab fritters were good - very different (very thin fried phyllo as outer coating). Had trout (good, slightly dry - and restaurnt without tartar sauce?) and skirt steak - yummy! Kale salad as a side was very good. Would recommend it other than Friday nights if you want to chat."

  • "Grille 401 is a nice place to eat and we go there often. Of course we live in the neighborhood and we think it is one of the places in the area. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Wait staff is friendly. My only negative is that the food comes out too fast. So beware, only order your appetizer first. Then when finished, order your dinner. Overall, a very nice place to eat. And if you are into the bar scene, it excels."

  • "We had a list of different places to dine while in Ft Laurderdale. We looked up Grill 401 online and thought it looked nice. Everything was wonderful! The service was great. Our waitress was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menu selection. I don't remember her name but she as very good...food was fantastic! Would go there again next time we are in the area!"

  • "This was my second time to Grille 401. Both times I was with a group of ladies. The food was really great. I had the crab fritters both times and they are seasoned to perfection and don't feel heavy at all. We also shared the white chocolate bread pudding and we could not get enough of it. One order can easily serve 4 people and 3 of us devoured it in no time! Once the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost of the wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Will definitely be returning."

  • "First time at Grill 401. The bar was so over loaded that it took too long to order a second round of cocktails. The server apologized and handled it well. The manager apologized and comped our round of drinks. This was the right thing to do. It was appreciated very much."

  • "I enjoyed dining at Grille 401. It was the first time I had dinner there although I had enjoyed appetizers there before. Fair prices for food and wine considering the location. Overall I would definitely return. Portions were a little smaller than I would have liked, but a total rating of 4 out of 5 stars indicating I would return or recommend it even to my foodie buddies and critics. Good flavors and not pretentious."

  • "The evening was perfect from the pre dinner drink at the bar to the dessert after dinner. Our server Ryan, was one of the best servers we have ever had. We started with the FORBIDDEN LOBSTER ROLL with a market price of $20. It was delicious and contained at least 1/2 a lobster in it. Then we ordered the SEASONAL SOUP which was Pasta Fagiole. Fresh garden veggies and the broth was great. Main courses were the BONE-IN RIBEYE 16 OZ....Outstanding flavor and a TUNA BURGER that was tender and superb. For dessert the homemade KEY LIME PIE was just tangy enough to never want to stop eating it. The prices were average for the neighborhood and for a special evening it was certainly a memorable night."

  • "We've dined half a dozen times here and always been so pleased with the creative delicious appetizers such as the fantastic crispy crab to the entrees and yummy side dishes. Service always very good . Elegant surrounding and quiet for conversation. Just wish fine dining in general would offer specials on drinks too where everybody takes too much profit."

  • "We went on a Friday night and the crowd was at least 5 deep. The noise level was extreme and on top of that there was live music! Luckily we had a table upstairs which helped considerably. What we ordered was excellent. I would go back but probaby for lunch. The new outside terrace bar is beautiful."

  • "Slow start for Grille 401....but since the renovation to add the bar up front, and the outdoor perimeter dining areas, also seems the food has gotten much better...love the beet and goat cheese salad and the roasted 1/2 chicken is great...the bread pudding should not be missed. Very good service, and welcoming by hostesses."

  • "First time going to Grille 401 - Hostess greeted and accomodated our group as some were running late. Very energetic area for happy hour. Our waiter Mike was more than awesome!!!!! I cannot even find the words to describe the service he rendered. He was attentive, pleasant but friendly, he gave recommendations for us to try, he was accomodating. We had a blast!!!"

  • "Great food, great location and fantastic outdoor dining scene. The new open bar is inviting. The only complaint is they need more staff for both lunch and after hours. Service has been slow every time I've gone. "

  • "I had heard so many things about this being a hot spot so was excited to try it. Reservation process was great, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere for hanging out or meeting up- however, the food was mediocre. I would return but only for a snack or cocktails not dinner. "

  • "Went for the terrific Happy Hour Friday. GM Callum Molloy very gracious & attentive, as was our server. Enjoyed the Kobe Beef Sliders and Spinach & Artichoke dip. Generous drinks & portions for a Happy Hour, with live (quiet) music. So pleased, we returned for dinner Sunday night. Chef Troy's menu was awesome! His bio says his home town is New Orleans--which may explain my girlfriend's purring over his "NOLA" Shrimp entree. I ordered Prime Rib, perfectly Med. rare and excellent. Entrees come with a side--very unusual in a town where most places are ala carte. Please don't think I'm connected with this place--I was just stoked at experience and reasonably priced excellence."

  • "Food was very Good (tuna appetizer and Chilean sea Bass). Bar scene is vibrant, if you like to be looked at (I don't). It's a place to see and be seen. Live music was good too but loud for my taste. Upon request, they promptly got us a table away from the music where the noise level was low and we could carry a conversation without having to scream at each other. Must try their chocolate bread pudding. It's fantastic. I believe it is owned by the same group that owns Brimstone in Pembroke since the menu was very similar. However the concept in Pembroke is more family oriented. "
