Our party of four arrived at Grill 454 anticipating a pleasant dining experience. For a restaurant which claims to be "upscale" it really disappoints. Service was terrible. My appetizer arrived after 25 minutes, but the rest of our table waited another 30 minutes for theirs to arrive. Our dinners arrived 55 minutes later. The Rib Eyes were barely warm while the plates were hot. The presentation was uninspiring and the braised short ribs were very dry. Would not recommend this restaurant.

We tried out this restaurant for Smithtown Restaurant Week, where they had 3 courses for $25.00. This was a good deal, as the prices at the restaurant can add up since everything is a la carte.

We waited 45 minutes for a 7:30 reservation. Bartender was excellent and cold beers.(That was the highlight of the night). The service was really slow waited 25 minutes for drinks after we ordered appetizers. Food was o.k. They bought us a round of drinks and gave us free dessert. Dessert was stuff apparently no one else would eat because even the waitress was embarrassed. She returned with other desserts, definitely better. But really, definitely insulting

Service was horrible almost non existent. Waited about 30 minutes until the first person approached our table. Waited almost 2 hours to get entrees. Appetizers terrible, the caeser salad tasted like they used italian wish bone dressing. One member of our wait staff asked if we were ready for dessert but we had not yet received our entrees. They refilled our soda glass with a plastic 2 liter pepsi bottle right at the table. It was my worst dining experience ever!

Absolutely hands down the worse dining experience of my life. I don't know where to start. We were a party of 8 with a 7:00 reservation, and the evening began with a drink being spilled on my husband's shoulder. The staff hurried to clean up the floor, but no one attended to my husband, didn't bring him anything to clean himself off. No one from management came over, and when the bill came we were charged for the drink! Ten minutes later, we still didn't have a replacement for the drink that was spilled or the bottles of wine we had ordered, and still no staff in sight. When we finally got those drinks, the waiter came to take our appetizer order (we only saw him three times the whole night). Next, with 45 minutes passed since we had be

Unfortunately we had high expectations of this restaurant. We were totally disappointed by the wait staff. From the beverage waitress to the dessert/coffee waiter, we were disappointed. Even the table runners had problems delivering the correct food. The food was good, but wait staff was totally lacking. Again, a very disappointing dinner experience.
