A word from Greg's Grill
Owners Greg & Teresa Hubert opened Greg's Grill in the spring of 2007. Their long history in the restaurant industry and passion for excellent service and great food led them to create a beautiful restaurant that reflects their high standards and attention to detail.
Situated in the heart of the historic Old Mill District of Bend Oregon, Greg's Grill sits amidst the bustle of movie theaters, art galleries and restaurants.
A lively place for any occasion, it offers a variety of foods with an emphasis on contemporary Northwest cuisine to include rotisserie prime rib, choice-cut steaks, seafood, and chicken cooked to perfection over our apple-wood and mesquite fired grill.
Inside, Northwest style architecture utilizes natural materials and floor-to-ceiling windows, which overlook beautifully landscaped patios, the Deschutes River and the Cascade mountain range. Greg's Grill is a comfortable place to sit and enjoy good times with friends and family.

Diner Reviews
  • "took a long time to get service but the place was packed. got our bread after like ten minutes at least then when our food came everything came at one time the appetizers our salads and our main dishes. Food was good but It would have been nice if salads and appetizers came first but overall pretty good and would go back again."

  • "Greg's Grill seems to be our fall back selection when we can't get a reservation at another restaurant or our group can't decide exactly where to go... And they never disappoint! I am always very happy with the food, service and ambiance!"

  • "The food portions were small for the price. We were excited to order cocktails and the cocktails were very stingy on the alcohol, so we switched to wine."

  • "We have been to Gregg's several times and have always been pleased with both food and service. Last Saturday night was an exception. We took our guests to Gregg's after the Art Fair and although they were not busy, the entire experience was bizarre. Some usual items like their brie appetizer were not available. Our entrees came out before the salads so they took it back to the kitchen. It all came back a few minutes later - still much too soon. The steak was ok but the Chicken Picatta was just a thick hunk of chicken breast with capers on it. No imagination or presentation. We had selected Gregg's to show our guests a fine Old Mill District experience but it was less than impressive. We'll think twice about taking guests there again."

  • "Great, attentive service. Lovely view of the Deschutes. Pasta special, this time with a seafood medley, was delicious. Steak was cooked as requested. Portions-generous."

  • "Excellent and very attentive staff, my chicken was a tad on the dry side, but the flavor was good. Nibbled off everyone's plates and was impressed with our dinners."

  • "Greg's provides decent food and good service, unlike some of the other neighboring establishments. It is a reliable choice."

  • "We had a great overall experience at Greg's Grill. The setting and view are stunning. There is a very diverse menu that should appeal to many different tastes. Our server was excellent. His recommendations where right on the mark and he made our experience extra special. The combination of setting, food quality and service made our overall experience truly outstanding. We continue to trek back to Greg's Grill when we are in Bend!"

  • "We had high expectations for this place and were pretty disappointed. The food was so-so, expected it to be better for the price. Our waitress was terrible, not nice, did t know what kind of whiskey she served my husband. I ordered a steak and was never given a steak knife and no one ever came to check on us to so I could get one. Cutting steak with a dinner knife doesn't rally work. Went to another resturauant on Saturday night that was awesome!"

  • "We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. Beautiful interior on the river. Our server was probably the best I have had. He was outgoing, friendly and very interested in making sure we had a great experience. Our meal was slightly delayed so he brought out soup for our table at their cost. The food for dinner was excellent and the dessert was fabulous too and was comped as well. Overall experience was outstanding."

  • "While the restaurant, service and food are very nice. The outdoor reservation policy is very skeptical. I made the reservations through OpenTable in advance. I was directed to the restaurant for outdoor reservations. When we got there on time we were told there would be an hour wait. There were four tables available outside. We decided to eat inside rather than waiting. During our entire meal the outside tables never filled up?????"

  • "After a non stellar dinner about two weeks ago, we went back tentatively to try again. It was a home run. The poached pear, cranberry and hazelnut salad was exceptional. We are on weight watchers, so we had the six ounce flat iron steak, no starches but with double vegetables. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the asparagus was hot and cooked to a nice still crispy texture. We passed on the bread and compound butter. We're glad to report they're back on our Bend great list with a wonderful view, great service and wonderful food."

  • "The trip advisor reviewer who thought the place looked dated most likely did not look up. The architecture is stunning' the views of the river impressive and the food exceeded expectations. Two thumbs up."

  • "Visiting from the OC. We started out in the bar with a cocktail... then out to the patio to enjoy a lovely outdoor experience overlooking the Deschutes during sunset with some background music coming from the amphitheater across the river. The baked brie appetizer is a must...loved it and their daily special caprese salad was a good choice as well. And the chicken picatta was quite good, as was the salmon. Bon appetite!!! We'll definitely be back next time in Bend."

  • "One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Bend. This time we both had flat iron steaks. Both were small. One was way under cooked, but not worth returning to the grill, as it had a tough piece of gristle running across the whole piece of meat. We asked to have no starch but double the veggies, they were done nicely, but small serving and the asparagus was prepped poorly with a couple of tough ends left on at the root end. The manager stopped by the table and asked how the meals were. We shared about the steak and he offered to comp dessert. We declined as we're on weight watchers and trying to be good. We're not giving up, and will try again next time we're in Bend."

  • "Food was fantastic Suggestion that waiter could have used a bit more wine, bar and liquer knowledge. To be a higher end of restaurant, expect a higher end of knowledge and ability to make suggestions"

  • "Greg's has improved their food prep recently with more consistency. But this visit was not as good as they can do. Spare ribs as an appetizer were greasy and lacked any seasoning punch. Cobb salad without meat was missing a lot of the mexican style garnish promised, but was cold and crisp. Wait staff was great even though they were very busy. Know they can do better. Will return."

  • "had a 14 oz prime rib medium rare with asparagus that was superb!"

  • "They told me to come 1/2 hour before reservation to get patio seating. When I showed up 1/2 hour early I was told that they would not put me in line to get a table until half of my reservation for 6 people showed up. I stated they were two sets of 70 year old parents (in-laws included) and I told them to get there at the reservation time. They made me sit in the foyer until half the party arrived. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!!! I did what they asked to get an outside table then didn't gibe it to me!!"

  • "Every time I've gone there, the noise level is nothing short of a rocket taking off from Cape Canaveral. It is way too loud to carry on a decent conversation. You almost have to shout when you're just across the table. Too much "kitcheny" noise -- plates rattling, etc."

  • "Beautiful restaurant with great views. But service was very slow. Took 20 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. The table next to us came in after us but was served first. Food was fine but didn't wow us."

  • "This is a great place to bring your guest from out of town that want to see the old mill and river area. Food was good not great and service was acceptable, wish they would make this place over the top amazing. We will be back for sure and love the happy hour menu."

  • "Gregg's has a wonderful ambiance, but the menu could definitely be improved, seemed rather limited, and caters mainly to families which is a shame as the restaurant's design is very appealing where one would expect a more upscale dining experience."

  • "First, they seem to have finally fixed the horrific smell when walking through the front door. I know this was a long-term issue, and quite the headache, so well done. Our food for the evening was the ahi appetizer, chicken piccata & coconut prawns. For the ahi, the wasabi sauce was outstanding. The ahi itself was so-so, very overcooked (mostly medium, very little pink center). The chicken piccata was a disappointment all the way around...from the glue/paste consistency of the mashed potatoes, to overdone asparagus, to chicken lacking any flavor. You might consider breast filets in order to cook more evenly, and reconsider the batter, Panko perhaps. There really wasn't sauce to speak of on the chicken, and the capers were dried out."

  • "We've been frequenting Greg's Grill (literally) before it opened. We were fortunate enough to know the person who was training the servers, and were invited to a pre-grand opening dinner. Their menu has evolved into a perfection amount of dishes, all of which are unique in their own way, and will certainly satisfy most every palate. The steaks are incredible, seafood dishes and pasta specials are always memorable, portions are generous, and the service is always first rate. Highly recommended - and always opt for a window or patio seat so you can watch the river. "

  • "I really didn't think the dining experience would be as good as it was - but from the moment we stepped thru the door to the time we left it was great! Beautiful design, excellent steaks, great service!"

  • "We have been to this restaurant many times while visiting in Bend. The restaurant has a view of the Deschutes River and mountains to begin with. The décor includes high wood ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and beautiful colors. The food is very well done and the waiter this time made our trip extra fun. Great personality and wonderful service. Can't be beat....never disappointed."

  • "We had never been to Gregg's Grill before and thought it would be a great place to have dinner. The service, food and ambience were fabulous! We were seated at a table overlooking the river and our server, Mel, was friendly and very efficient. Ribs and steak were delicious! However, the wine list may be notable, but definitely lacking. My friend and I both like a good Pinot Noir and tried 3 different vintners before we just gave up. Finally, the sommelier came to our table, discussed what we wanted, said they really didn't have anything comparable and recommended a fourth label - was not any better than the first 3. Sorry Gregg's..."
