  • "It has been a few years since the last time that my wife and ate Cuban, needless to say, we were not disappointed. Everything was hot and very tasty, would recommend it to anyone. It seemed like we were waiting for only a few minutes, before waiter showed up and asked if we were ready to order and when we ordered the meal was delivered in about 10 minutes."

  • "After a glowing recommendation form a friend just before the old Gregoria's had a fire, it took us a while to get to the new one. It was a lovely experience on a Thursday evening - calm and quiet which is what we look for in a restaurant. The food was sooo good and beautifully presented. And our waiter was superb. It will now be a favorite for a nice dinner."

  • "We were there on the night of their grand opening party. Clearly the staff was over-worked and under-trained. We were taken to a table only to be asked to move to a different table. We had trouble getting a dirty table decoration removed. We had to ask about drink/food specials. The food was ok, but one of the items we ordered never arrived. An unsatisfying experience."

  • "There new location offers a nice spacious experience. I was a little disappointed with the food. It was a little bland...average. Needs more spice. Whenever I am in Miami, I have Cuban food. Hardy and rich with spices. Chef should make a visit. I REALLY want to like this place and want it to be successful."

  • "We dined on the evening of the grand opening and there was some great excitement in the air as we arrived. The host walked us to our table, but never looked back to see if we were following. A very busy night and the staff seemed nervous. Our appetizer was a nicely presented pork on fried plantain offering pork was really tasty, but the plantain was like cardboard. Our main dish was Ribeye with Yuca Mash that looked good, but the plating was not executed well. The Ribeye was great, cooked properly and seasoned nicely. The selection of spirits was limited and the dining area was decorated well but a little too bright for intimate dining. All-in-all a pleasant enough experience but nothing that would cause us to come back."

  • "We had a late Brunch around 2pm and even though we had reservations it was not very busy that time of day. Between the 4 of us we ordered two different dishes, the french toast and a Spanish dish which is similar to a Quiche and they were delicious. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and I am looking forward to warm weather because it looks like they have a patio. Everyone enjoyed the brunch and we plan to go again!"

  • "Sunday Brunch was charming & different. A choice menu of entrees allows the diner to sample various dishes not usual to an American brunch. The Spanish omelet with Yucan was delicious. The mimosa & coffee were small yet adequate. A salad is also on the brunch menu which makes a nice choice. The meals can be prepared gluten free. A great option for some & the menu includes those who are vegan! Try Gregoria's for brunch."

  • "I was a little concerned when I heard that the restaurant moved from the charming little house which to me made it unique and interesting but the new place is also nice. Not as cozy but nice. My meal was good. It seemed as if the wait staff wasn't experienced, especially for that level of a place but they were nice. I would suggest reservations because they seemed a little busy. Parking is also a little challenging but there is more parking than at the old location. Hopefully, they will do well in the new location."

  • "We had a great meal on a Sunday. Reservations were for 11:00 am though it turned out we didn't need it. But by 12 most tables were full. Food took a little longer than expected, but our server kept us informed and apologized for the delay. We will return soon."

  • "I'm so glad that Gregoria's has reopened after the previous location was damaged by fire. The new location is bigger and a little nicer. The service and food was just a good as it ever was. If you want great Cuban inspired dishes with lots of flavor, this place is a great find."

  • "The food and ambiance were generally quite good. While we were disappointed that they were out of Ceasar salad and they substituted a green salad that had a very salty dressing, the main courses were very good. We do plan to go back. IT is a good addition to the Durham dining scene."

  • "The service was friendly and helpful. We had trouble making a decision because everything on the menu sounded appetizing. The waiter was not helpful in this regard. His additional descriptions made everything sound delicious. The salad was fresh with a tangy, light dressing. The mojito was good. My dining companions enjoyed the steak, the eggplant and the ropa vieja very much. My shrimp was fresh and well prepared but not exceptional. I tasted the ropa vieja and wished I had ordred it. The ambiance is very inviting. The decor is spare but warm and elegant. The music is energizing but not too loud. I will definitely return to this restaurant to try more entrees. And try to save room for a dessert. Make a reservation."

  • "Great atmosphere. Nice lighting, there was a gentleman playing a cello when we went on a Friday night. Server was great. He made sure we were all set, but didn't hover or come around too much. The owner came to our table and inquired if it was our first time and how he could get his name out in the neighborhood more. I honestly like it when the owner comes around and not a chef, it's seems more genuine. Very good experience, we will go again."

  • "Newly relocated. Staff was great. Chicken a la Parilla was superb. Outdoor patio was not open (too cold when I was there) but seems spacious and attractive. Look forward to going back."

  • "Started with Mojitos that tasted mostly of soda water. Missing the lovely flavors of muddled mint and lime. Ordered the ham croquette for an appetizer which was missing the creamy ham concoction that authentic croquettes have. Theirs was mostly seasoned breading. The black beans my dish came with were a complete joke. I think they opened a can of beans, rinsed them off and served. The delicious, thick black bean sauce that ALL original black beans are served in was no where to be found. The Vaca Frita was good, but the dish is typically pan seared to give the edged a crispy texture and then smothered in sautéed onions and lime. All of that was missing."

  • "I had lived in Tampa FL for several years, and what I missed the most is a place that had good Cuban food and specifically, a good Cuban sandwich. Gregoria's Cuban is as close as you can get without being in Tampa. They also make a great burger during Sunday brunch. Gregoria's is now in my rotation for Sunday brunch. Excellent!"

  • "Overall the food was very good. I really enjoyed their Cuban pork and my husband loved the skirt steak. But we were disappointed that the bread served was not Cuban bread. Likewise we were disappointed with the black beans and rice as they were nothing special. The server was very attentive, but it was clear he had not tried much of the food on the menu and did not know how to pronounce most dishes. After a few more months in business I think Gregoria's will be awesome, but for now it is just good."

  • "Overall, I was disappointed in my dining experience, even considering the restaurant recently opened. Our waiter (who was in training) was constantly being followed around by a manager who interrupted and made him visibly nervous. Additionally the follow-ups and "how is everything?" questions were far too frequent. Yes it is important to get a sense of the customer's experience but my date and I almost started a stopwatch to see how frequently they were coming in the end. The food was good but nothing that left me desiring to return. If you had dined at the previous location, the new location does not have nearly the same ambiance. Overall it will be interesting to see if our experience was a sign of things to come or growing pains."

  • "For February, a child under 10 eats free with a paying adult on Mondays and Tuesdays, so when we went in Monday night there were several families. We sat in a booth at the bar and were taken care of by Drew - once again, great service and great food!"

A couple very minor bumps in the service but pretty sure our server was new and the senior servers definitely made sure everything was ironed out."

They have so many delicious-looking items, it demands multiple visits. Definitely go hungry and help yourself to an appetizer, entree, and dessert. You won't regret it."

  • "Was really looking forward to returning after the fire at the previous location. Had always enjoyed the food and ambiance. So, went for Valentines Day. Was disappointed at how crammed the seats were together, certainly not romantic when I heard my neighbor's conversation as well as my own. Maybe for a group, but not for a couple. Also, limited valentines day menu didn't allow me to enjoy some old favorites. May try again, but no rush."

  • "I went with a group of 4 people for restaurant week, there was a good sampling of their food during these 3 courses. I tried several appetizers and main courses, and was impressed with the flavors. The plantain stuffed with ground beef and the empanada were my favorite appetizers, and the skirt steak was cooked very nicely. Overall the service was quick and polite, the drinks were good, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant again for a break from standard American fare, and plan on returning again when guests come to town."
