Greensquare TavernWhat a great find!!This was my second visit to Greensquare Tavern, and it was fantastic! The restaurant is very cozy without being crowded. We went at 11:45 for lunch, and by the time we left, the restaurant had filled up and was a bit noisy. We ordered the two soups of the day, mushroom and a split pea. Delicious!! Then, we had the Cobb salad and a veggie burger. Both were so wonderful, you could really tell the quality of the ingredients. Prices were reasonable, and the service was good. We went there for my birthday last night, and the food quality was extraordinary, and everything I ordered was perfectly prepared. At the recommendation of our server, first came the grilled octopus; it was tender, and full of flavor. Next it was the duck and sugar snap peas. Perfection. The service is not speedy, but the staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and gracious. The bf can be a bit of a snob so he was not thrilled when we walked in and he saw the tile floor and cafe type seating. I asked him to give it a try. His first bite of the oxtail appetizer won him over. All of the food was amazing. I had the pasta dish. The veggies were cooked to perfection. The bf had the duck. The plate was clean. By the time we left the restaurant was packed. Can't wait for my next excuse to go. The next time I will order a vegetable side dish. The entrees were wonderful, but they are mostly meat with one modest sized vege side.

It's a cozy atmosphere for a delicious farm to table brunch. The prixe fix is a great value - not too many places that offer such fresh ingredients from Lancaster, PA and 2 drinks included. The place is so busy but the wait staff is very pleasant and attentive - you never have to ask for more coffee (or for your second drink). After my first time there last month with a friend, I just had to go back so my husband could enjoy a great NYC brunch experience. Also, the dining room was quite chilly, which detracted from a lovely meal.
