  • "We have dined at Green's several times in the distant past and were always charmed by the airy atmosphere, the food and the view. This time however it seemed a bit stale as if it needed an "uplift" of some kind. Sort of "resting on its laurels" without as much care taken with presentation and/or composition of the vegetarian cuisine. My bean soup instead of being a thick, subtle blend of thick consistency was a vegetable broth with a few beans and spinach. My husband's red wine was - as he said - a terrible, watery glass. My brochette was haphazardly put together and looked wilted. Sorry, because Green's has always stood for much more in our minds and affections."

  • "Dinner with out-of-town friends was mixed. Great appetizers and dessert, mixed review for entres: two were wonderful, two were nothing special. Nonetheless, I would return to Greens and be more analytical about choosing an entre. The service was friendly and attentive without being oppresive; the noise level was perfect as we had no problems hearing across the table; the atmosphere perfect with the sun setting behind the Golden Gate Bridge."

  • "We arrived on tim at this lovely restaurant and were offered a table for 2 in the noisier Min room, or the quieter and smaller rear room. We took the rear, but the view is better from the front. Service and wine was fantastic. My wife's selections of two salads were both fresh and good. I chose the double brochettes and they too were nice. I am a meat lover and my wife is a vegetarian. We were both happy. It was foggy, so there was no view of the Golden Gate, but the marina had plenty to keep us occupied, including dogs with life jackets on sail boats. I can only imagine how beautiful it is on a clear day. It is a 10 minute walk to the trolley station (Taylor-Powell)."

  • "My husband and I have been celebrating our wedding anniversary with dinner at Greens for several years now. We generally request a table by the window and we got it. The food as usual was delicious, well prepared and arranged. However, the choices this time was very limited. Also, the portion size of the appetizers was very small. The Spring Roll looked like like one roll was cut up into 4 tiny pieces. Also, we had to ask for the bread basket a few times before it was brought out. Still, overall nice place and we will consider coming again for special occasions"

  • "Greens Resturant was a great find recommend by friends and a Taxie driver. As a lapse vegetarian/ vegan it was great to find a place that reignited my taste buds A interesting use of ingredients my partner and I both had the Fire Roasted Poblanco basically a stuff pepper with quinoa etc, great flavours and textures. For dessert we had the white chocolate almond cake which was a bit dry and and lacked almonds. The staff were helpful and friendly, I would recommend to any veggies and non veggies."

  • "Absolutely exceptional food! Also, because we got lost trying to find the restaurant, persons at the restaurant were ultimately helpful in telling us how to get there. The waiting was engaging, courteous and helpful. We liked where we sat because while we might have liked a window seat, where we did have to sit because we came 30 minutes late for our reservation, was in a little alcove by ourselves: very helpful for my husband's hard-of-hearing and for just zoning out."

  • "The food and the service was amazing at Greens. On Saturday nights, diners are required to choose from a 4 course tasting menu. My friend and I ordered different dishes for each course and then shared everything so we'd get to try more items. The local cheeses were amazing, and the staff was so nice and friendly. They sat us by the window and we got to see the sun set over the Golden Gate Bridge. We even saw a cute little sea lion swim by while we were on our first course. The food is very good and showcases all local and fresh ingredients."

The fettuccine with peas was especially delicious. We sampled 4 different appetizers and all were delicious. It is a fairly casual restaurant. The view is great overlooking the bay and the seals."

No vegan or gluten free options, just French toast and scrambles. Not at all interesting as a culinarily destination , but the veiw of the golden gate and marina are a great place to take out of towners."

  • "I've lived in the SF Bay area since 1984 and had never eaten at Greens. The food is super fresh and light - every bite delicious. Portions are petite. Lunch for two without alcoholic beverages was $70.00. We had an iced tea and a lemonade, shared an appetizer, shared a salad (small bit of greens, four asparagus spears, 3 bits of beets), and each had a cup (portion size was maybe 1/2 cup in volume) of soup, then our own desserts. Sitting by the window there is an amazing view of the Bay, the Golden Gate, and all the water boat activity - makes you smile. The service was excellent."

We celebrated our 47th Wedding Anniversary and the food, presentation and service were all 5 star !!! Oh, and the deserts are to die for !!!   • "We were looking for somewhere to eat at short notice and being vegan looked online and we're surprised to see Greens 20 minute walk away, got online and booked a table for 45 mins and went through without a hitch. The food and general feel of the place and the helpfulness of staff was excellent, especially when almost every table was full. As a vegan I'm not used to edible desserts but the banana cake with coconut sorbet was bliss. We're flying back to London now but if we ever return, this will be our first port of call."

  • "saturday prix fixe was perfect. great cocktails, amazing view of sea lions in the bay. i love that they aren't trying to recreate meat dishes and don't use fake meat products. they are working with the beauty and deliciousness of the best vegetables. only complaint is that wine pairing doesn't include dessert wine which was a big disappointment."
