Greenbriar Inn, TheDelightful!Ordinarily I don't take the time to fill theses out, but The Greenbriar is so exceptional I am thrilled to share my experience. The food was excellent, our waiter friendly and helpful, but the icing on the cake is the ambiance. I eat out a lot and this is going to be my "go to" place from now on.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely settingThe garden like setting from the sunroom makes for a beautiful private evening. It is expensive, so you should be aware of that before going...but ours was a special ocassion and is was worth it. Service was top drawer.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dishes, top notch serviceThis is the restaurant to go to if you are looking to step up your dining experience from both a food and service standpoint. The dishes are well crafted and creative and the waitstaff are very well-trained and professional. We have been to a number of restaurants in the Boulder area and The Greenbriar Inn offers a bit more uniqueness in both location and ambiance. The Greenbriar also appears to be popular for special occasion dinners and I can see why. I love dining in Boulder, but if you want a change of pace away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. The pricing, which is at the higher end of our typical dining choices, is on par with the food and experience.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the Greenbriar!Went for brunch on a Sunday and had an amazing time. We took friends from out of town and we were able to enjoy sitting outside and relaxing in the sun/shade. Food was very good and the service was OK, considering that we were the farthest table from the doors.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMtoo expensiveMy two lady friends and I had Brunch there this past Sunday. The surroundings were lovely - we ate outside. The service was great. But most ladies can't eat too much (not $31.00 apx. !). ...just for a few egg dishes, a spoonful of potatoes, a sliver of melon, a desert tart etc. I know that is not your fault, but it is just something to think about. Maybe a slightly lower price for ladies/seniors? Now thank you for listening.( I know that ALL ladies are not small eaters, but the majority are). yes, I had a small piece of prime rib, but the other two didn't.
Thank you.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! We always enjoy brunch at the Greenbriar Inn. Everything is always top-notch. We've never been disappointed.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMbest everThis is the 10th time we have done brunch here and it only gets better every time. The food was wonderful!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the drive.Fine dining in a relaxed, rural setting. Whether outside under the trees, or in the dining room, this is a comfortable high quality restaurant. A gracious and accommodating staff, attentive and friendly servers, creative menu selections and endless wine choices. We have never been disappointed here, and frankly, don't eat here enough. One of the best table-side prepared Caesar salads in the Denver-Boulder area. Just a few miles north of Boulder proper.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Brunch 2013Our mother's day brunch was a great experience. We were seated right at our reservation timedespite a large crowd (good reservation time management). We appreciated the quiet seating area in the rear sunroom, interesting, diverse buffet, and attentive beverage service by Sara. This was our first time at the Greenbrier and we will definitely return and recommend to friends!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than last year! The food was fantastic this year, everything was top notch!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeThis is our 4th time there and we have never been disappointed. Food was excellent and server was friendly and attentive.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAverage Food, Great ServiceWill not go again. My Son's steak was the most bland I have ever tasted in a restaurant. No flavor at all. My halibut was good, not great. My wife's duck was good not great. My daughter's scallops were a disappointment. They did have flavor, but two scallops? She was still hungry after dinner.
Excellent service. But, when I spend over $300 for a dinner for 4, I expect better than average food. For less than half the cost of this dinner, I would receive far better food at many Boulder restaurants. I would also receive lesser service.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMStill A Fantastic RestaurantMy husband and I returned to the Greenbriar after some 40 years. We were delighted to find the ambiance as inviting and comfortable as it was then. The food is still excellent. Sometimes it is the little touches that make an evening extra special and that was certainly the case here. For example, the thin toasts for the pate were fresh, tender and delicious. The sorbet served between the courses was clearly homemade and delicious. Try the Caesar Salad for two - not only is it a delight to watch it being made at your table, but it was delicious with just the right amount of anchovies and dressing.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had great service by BrianWe had great service by Brian U.
