  • "My wife and I went out here for a nice evening without the kids, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was spectacular. I had the pecan crusted trout which was cooked perfectly and was delicious, and my wife had roasted chicken which was equally well prepared and tasty. Service was outstanding, from the door to the table. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great evening out with their someone special. Or just an evening out with friends/family. We will be coming back again, for sure."

  • "College chums met for a reunion at the Green Valley Grill. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our desires. We are particular about our food, picky about table placement (wanted a table that facilitated conversation in a secluded spot so we could hear each other with enough lighting so pics of grandchildren could be viewed) and needed a great deal of understanding from the wait staff: some of us needed extras like lemon on the side, additional glasses of just ice, gluten free, low salt, low fat eating options, etc. We also lingered over our food and were practically the last lunch patrons to leave. It was a fantastic experience. The food was great, the service super special, the ambience perfect. Kudos to all!!!"

All were delicious! The bread they serve is also very tasty. We all had creme brulee for dessert which was also wonderful. The menu is fairly limited but we all would go back again."

  • "I ordered the Filet MW because I was concerned the M would be too "red", the steak was was well done and extremely thin. The thinnest filet I had ever had. Was more like a rib eye thickness at Long Horn. My son's scallops were way over cooked - crusty on one side even. The others in my party ordered Parm Chicken and they said it was very good. We did not complain about the food - we do not do that. My family are old restaurant people and acknowledge all places have bad nights - we were just very disappointed."

  • "First time we have been there for a long time. Restaurant's food had evolved from excellent to mediocre. This time the service was excellent. Using Open Table for reservations is efficient, quick and dependable. We got there early and they still sat us immediately. Two at the table ordered the shrimp/crabmeat entrée'. There was one shrimp on the piece of toasted bread and although we couldn't see the crabmeat the taste of it was there. Essentially it was a piece of toast with sauce, a shrimp, hint of crabmeat with a small green salad. Value/quality of this dish is highly questionable. The other two at the table had the lasagne and said it was excellent. Although better than past 3-4 visits it was still not there IMHO."

  • "We were seated outside as requested but our table was directly next to a very noisy group of 3. Many other tables were open so we were reseated easily. I would have expected to have not been put right next to another table when many were open. After that the experience was delightful. Atmosphere, service and food were very nice. Nice trees creat barrier that eliminates the parking lot view! The grilled chicken salad, small plate, was very large and had a wonderful dressing and adequate amount of chicken and roasted peppers. My companion had Parmesan encrusted chicken and it was tasteful but not outstanding. Would definitely go back to try other dishes."

  • "For the price point I would have expected a much higher quality of food. I ordered the twice smoked pork loin spec, and found the sauce on top to be a bland mix of overcooked onions and mushrooms in a partial broken sauce. it was served with some kind of cauliflower with a cheese sauce that was completely broken and just terrible. None of the other guests at the dinner commented on the food which leads me to believe they were probably underwhelmed as well. This was a business dinner however so you wouldn't expect anyone to make a comment if they were unsatisfied with their dinner I will say that I have visited previously and ordered several apps which were amazing in the bar area. so maybe they were having an off night in the kitchen."

  • "We ate at Green Valley Grill with our 3 teenage sons and another couple with their teenage son. Everyone had an outstanding meal! The service was amazing: excellent recommendations, attention to detail, and timing of every course . We have a son with peanut allergy. I had already pre called about cooking with peanut oil so we knew that was not an issue. But our server went the extra mile to check on the pasta my son had ordered(beef & Giacomo Italian sausage lasagna) because of the almond dust used to prepare the pasta noodles. What a wonderful gesture! That impressed us especially our son! And it is sometimes difficult to impress a 13 year old boy!) We will be back! Just sad we live 5 hours away in Kentucky or we would be back sooner!!"

  • "Was in town on business and met a very nice gentleman from Greensboro area on the plan who told me about this place. Actually he mentioned this restaurant and Printworks which I learned is owned by the same people. Both my colleague and myself were very pleased. I got the fillet (which was done to perfection) and he got the short ribs, and loved them as well. Our waitress was also stellar. Can't quite remember her name but she had three stars on her lapel and was able to describe each of the menu items very well and was very prompt with our drinks and meals. All in All a great job all around!"

  • "On a recent visit to Greensboro, I used TripAdvisor looking for a nice place to take customers for dinner. GVG came up as a recommended choice. Dinner was mostly seafood with a number of special fish selections cooked in a variety of ways. The special for the evening was striped bass with shrimp with a cajun sauce on Spanish Rice with spinach. WOW. Another special was 3 types of meat (lamb chop, pork loin, and brisket) served as a meat trio. The plate was licked clean. All of the meals were plated well, very tasty and excellent service. The wine list wasgood with both domestic and international selections by the glass and by the bottle. This will be a restaurant I go back to, either with my wife for a nice evening, or with customers."

  • "My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit to Green Valley Grill. The service was excellent. Attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is large and appears to be quite extensive. I'm not a wine aficionado, aside from drinking it, but was please to see wines from Australia included. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were quite large. Lovely to see espresso coffee on the menu too. Overall an exceptional venue, and one we hope to visit again in the future."
