  • "This was our second time at GVG, the first being several years ago, and it was just as wonderful this time as last. My wife and I each had one of the wine flights and both were excellent. Our food was great and the service (Jay - been there eight years!) was wonderful. We highly recommend the GVG."

  • "We love the total experience of the Green Valley Grill. You will love the quiet ambience and the food will excite any pallet. We had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Baked Pecan Crusted Trout and both were enjoyably unique. The staff was extremely polite and could make great recommendations."

  • "I was greeted by a very professional and friendly staff. A very enjoyable evening with incredible food and nice ambiance. Always a nice evening out! The courtyard outside is also a beautiful place to dine. Highly recommend!"

  • "Good, fresh food prepared simply but well. Excellent bartender. They really know how to mix a cocktail! Service was outstanding. The staff makes it look effortless. They anticipate your needs before you can verbalize!"

  • "Four of us attended a show nearby and went here for dinner afterwards. We were not disappointed in any way! The food and service was excellent! Three of us had lasagna and the other, salmon. All were delicious! The bread they serve is also very tasty. We all had creme brulee for dessert which was also wonderful. The menu is fairly limited but we all would go back again."

  • "I ordered the Filet MW because I was concerned the M would be too "red", the steak was was well done and extremely thin. The thinnest filet I had ever had. Was more like a rib eye thickness at Long Horn. My son's scallops were way over cooked - crusty on one side even. The others in my party ordered Parm Chicken and they said it was very good. We did not complain about the food - we do not do that. My family are old restaurant people and acknowledge all places have bad nights - we were just very disappointed."

  • "This was our third visit to Green Valley Grill and our experience has been outstanding each time. The ambiance, wait staff and quality of food is terrific! Our waitress, Sarah, was very attentive, offered great suggestions and exhibited a warm & friendly personality. We plan on dining at GVG each time we visit the Triad for Furniture Market."

  • "First time we have been there for a long time. Restaurant's food had evolved from excellent to mediocre. This time the service was excellent. Using Open Table for reservations is efficient, quick and dependable. We got there early and they still sat us immediately. Two at the table ordered the shrimp/crabmeat entrée'. There was one shrimp on the piece of toasted bread and although we couldn't see the crabmeat the taste of it was there. Essentially it was a piece of toast with sauce, a shrimp, hint of crabmeat with a small green salad. Value/quality of this dish is highly questionable. The other two at the table had the lasagne and said it was excellent. Although better than past 3-4 visits it was still not there IMHO."

  • "We were seated outside as requested but our table was directly next to a very noisy group of 3. Many other tables were open so we were reseated easily. I would have expected to have not been put right next to another table when many were open. After that the experience was delightful. Atmosphere, service and food were very nice. Nice trees creat barrier that eliminates the parking lot view! The grilled chicken salad, small plate, was very large and had a wonderful dressing and adequate amount of chicken and roasted peppers. My companion had Parmesan encrusted chicken and it was tasteful but not outstanding. Would definitely go back to try other dishes."

  • "My very favorite restaurant in Greensboro. It has everything a foodie could want."

  • "For the price point I would have expected a much higher quality of food. I ordered the twice smoked pork loin spec, and found the sauce on top to be a bland mix of overcooked onions and mushrooms in a partial broken sauce. it was served with some kind of cauliflower with a cheese sauce that was completely broken and just terrible. None of the other guests at the dinner commented on the food which leads me to believe they were probably underwhelmed as well. This was a business dinner however so you wouldn't expect anyone to make a comment if they were unsatisfied with their dinner I will say that I have visited previously and ordered several apps which were amazing in the bar area. so maybe they were having an off night in the kitchen."

  • "We ate at Green Valley Grill with our 3 teenage sons and another couple with their teenage son. Everyone had an outstanding meal! The service was amazing: excellent recommendations, attention to detail, and timing of every course . We have a son with peanut allergy. I had already pre called about cooking with peanut oil so we knew that was not an issue. But our server went the extra mile to check on the pasta my son had ordered(beef & Giacomo Italian sausage lasagna) because of the almond dust used to prepare the pasta noodles. What a wonderful gesture! That impressed us especially our son! And it is sometimes difficult to impress a 13 year old boy!) We will be back! Just sad we live 5 hours away in Kentucky or we would be back sooner!!"

  • "We've dined here many times and are always pleased, however this is the first time my food arrived cold. They reheated the fish, but then everything else was even colder. We'll return because this isn't usually a problem, but it was surprising they didn't handle it a little better."

  • "Green Valley Grill never disappoints. Food is excellent and locally sourced. Wait staff is exceptional - knowledgable, friendly, and attentive. Excllent for a casual lunch or dinner or a special occasion. Atmosphere is relaxing, quiet enough for conversation even when restaurant is full. Best Martinis in Greensboro."

  • "Was in town on business and met a very nice gentleman from Greensboro area on the plan who told me about this place. Actually he mentioned this restaurant and Printworks which I learned is owned by the same people. Both my colleague and myself were very pleased. I got the fillet (which was done to perfection) and he got the short ribs, and loved them as well. Our waitress was also stellar. Can't quite remember her name but she had three stars on her lapel and was able to describe each of the menu items very well and was very prompt with our drinks and meals. All in All a great job all around!"

  • "On a recent visit to Greensboro, I used TripAdvisor looking for a nice place to take customers for dinner. GVG came up as a recommended choice. Dinner was mostly seafood with a number of special fish selections cooked in a variety of ways. The special for the evening was striped bass with shrimp with a cajun sauce on Spanish Rice with spinach. WOW. Another special was 3 types of meat (lamb chop, pork loin, and brisket) served as a meat trio. The plate was licked clean. All of the meals were plated well, very tasty and excellent service. The wine list wasgood with both domestic and international selections by the glass and by the bottle. This will be a restaurant I go back to, either with my wife for a nice evening, or with customers."

  • "My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit to Green Valley Grill. The service was excellent. Attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is large and appears to be quite extensive. I'm not a wine aficionado, aside from drinking it, but was please to see wines from Australia included. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were quite large. Lovely to see espresso coffee on the menu too. Overall an exceptional venue, and one we hope to visit again in the future."

  • "The selections were outstanding at this restaurant. I had the special for lunch which was Mahi with a lemon, caper and crab sauce on too of spinach and polenta. The fish was cooked perfectly."

  • "Pulled lamb, pork belly, and creme brûlée...need I say more! Only negatives: the restaurant is on the loud side. My wife and I ate at GVG on our first date as well as our wedding night. It is one of those places we head to for a good meal and a little reminiscing. My only caution: ask the price of the special before ordering. I had the mixed grill with pulled lamb (maybe 2 oz in a little ramekin), pork belly (maybe an ounce and a half), and a maybe 4 oz New York strip with roasted potatoes and asparagus for $34.95. For that price I would have selected the less expensive filet mignonette and enjoyed it more. The special was quite overpriced for what I got, but it was tasty. We will definitely return, just a little more cautious next time."

  • "The food was inspired--even for vegetarian. Also, they had a great play list for our 1:15 p.m. brunch yesterday (that they're willing to copy and give to you). Great service and reasonably priced. Ask for to seated in a smaller room if the noise bothers you This restaurant made our day."

  • "We were at dinner at the most crowded and stressful time for a restaurant--in the midst of the ACC basketball tournament, but the service and food were still at the highest quality. The trout and roast chicken received rave reviews. Even the simple salad was praised for the freshness of the greens and the light but flavorful dressing. And despite the pressure on the restaurant no one pressured us in any way to hurry."

  • "In town for an event and hosted 4 associates. The service was decent. Wine list out of date causing numerous visits to finally find a bottle they had in stock. Entrees were ok. Nothing special. No one left disappointed, but no one had the urge to return."

  • "I go to GVG fairly regularly, and my experience was just as good as it normally is. My girlfriend and I went for my birthday (the weather was terrible and everywhere else I wanted to go was closed), and I was not disappointed. I am a BIG fan of their calamari dish (the Parmesan-Lime Aioli and the Marinara sauce really seal the deal for the dish), and the wine list is quite exceptional. The food was overall very good, but the mustardy sauce that went with my $32 Grill Trio (1 Lamb Chop, Flat Iron Steak, & Pork Belly) really missed the mark; it was very thick/acidic and there was way too much on the plate. That being said, everything was cooked perfectly & our server John was fantastic. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, but the sauce was just bad."

  • "Green Valley Grill was a wonderful experience. My significant other and I enjoyed a date night and decided to try a restaurant we have not dined at before. The service was top notch, food impeccable (Chef specials and seasonal recommendations), and the noise level was perfect (you heard chatter but not to much that you were able to hear other conversations). We are foodies and enjoy trying new menus, we will definitely go again!"
