The architecture was a walk back to my East Coast days and the history of New England. The museum was very informative. I would hope that they would have some kind of revolving, changing exhibit for regular diners to enjoy.

My husband and I went to the Green Dragon for our anniversary. I will definitely go back!!! The chef suprised us with items not on the menu, the pastry chef is a genius with dessert and the wait staff was incredibly attentive. I never had an empty glass or had to ask for anything. It's like they were a step ahead of us. :) And the museum was very interesting. So rich with history, it reminds us where we started as a young country.

My family and I went to the Green Dragon when it first opened and the service was slow but they have their act together now. We returned over the weekend and found everything just right. The food was excellent. The service was responsive and polite. When you add in the museum that my kids just loved the night was perfect. I highly recommend giving the Green Dragon a try.

We were met graciously and welcomed. The menu was exciting and the food was great as was the service throughout the meal. We were there for our 25th anniversary and the event was acknowledged by everyone we dealt with, a really nice touch and in keeping with the total friendliness of the staff. The only drawback to the total enjoyment of the meal was the noise level. The dining room echo's badly and it was hard to hold a conversation in a normal voice due to the racket. We will come back and hope it will be quieter.

On this particular occasion we had dinner in the pub area as the dining room, which is more upscale did not open until 5pm. We had not had lunch so we went in at 4pm. The pub was busy as was the bar area. As the time passed the noise level was very loud and we were glad we were almost done with our dinner. The service that night was off..it's usually is much better. On our next visit for dinner we will go in the dining room. Food was excellent.

The food and service was excellent. They have an extensive wine and beer selection at very reasonable prices. We started with calamari and the clam chowder. Both were excellent but the clam chowder was the absolute best we've ever had anywhere - so yummy it's worth the trip there just for it alone. I had the Duck Confit and the Hubs had the Jidori Chicken. Both were superb.

If you like American history, it's a place to go. Would expect to see something like this on the east coast. The food was good, but the service was slow when we first arrived. Don't like waiting for menus, water, or waiters for more than 5 minutes. It took about 10 minutes before being noticed, but after that the service improved. It was not busy at the time we arrived, but I think the service would have been better if we had sat downstairs.

It took over 45 minutes for our food to get to us after we ordered. They messed up on one of our orders, so we had to wait at least another 10 minutes before the replacement arrived. Service was incredibly slow considering there were only 4-5 occupied tables. Our server was very slow on getting our drinks refilled. The food was mediocre, and not worth the 2 hour trip to the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're crunched on time, and definitely not recommend if you're coming in during your lunch break. EEK!

This restaurant and historical theme is unique to the area. With just minor exceptions, the food was excellent; the booth seating very comfortable; the service was friendly and first class; the decor and architectural detail were outstanding. The wood flooring and hard ceiling and walls made the noise level a little irritating. The museum was a very welcome plus to round out an enjoyable evening. I will spread the word.

Took my elderly parents to an early dinner on a Saturday Night. Our waiter was very informative and entertaining....made the night extra special. The food was great. My step-dad was extremely impressed with the overall ambience of the place and we LOVED the Revolutionary War Museum. Great for history buffs and east coasters (which we are). Also check out the bookstore and coffee shop. A very enjoyable and entertaining evening. We will definitely return soon.

I was intrigued by the early North American tavern style that the restaurant website boosted, but its actual style did not capture that of an 18th century Boston tavern. The bar and dining room spaces resemble a country club. The exterior's neon lighting was a poor choice- too unauthentic. The restaurant entrance is not so obvious. I was impressed with the food (I had Jadori Chicken, asparagus soup, The Patriot, bacon wrapped scallops, S'more). Great flavors, but strong and too bold- lacking balance. Lunch and dinner menus are almost identical, unrefined, and scattered. The service was decent and the staff kind and patient. Will return to see what Hastings develops. Great theme, but lacking in definition. I want this place to succeed.

We celebrated my birthday with a little trip to New England, having only had to drive a few miles! The lobster roll and clam chowder were authentic East Coast for sure. The service was great. You need to know that the original Green Dragon Tavern was the "Headquarters of the American Revolution" in Boston's North End. The Boston Tea Party was planned there, and it was the starting point for Paul Revere's famous midnight ride to Lexington in April 1775. Be prepared to step back in time to a very interesting display of historical documents relating to that period, including original documents signed by Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Also be prepared for great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. They offer a quiet atmosphere in their dining room, and a more energetic one in their bar area. We've been twice, and are eager to go back again. The clam chowder is the best we've ever had!

Some friends recommended this restaurant/museum. We had a co-worker here from Michigan, who is an American history buff, so we decided to take him there. The menu items were varied, the side dishes were intriguing. The presentation of the entrees was beautiful, the food was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and served on a wood plank. The crab cakes and lobster roll were also delicious. Great dessert menu-the crème broule was fabulous. We also spent time in the museum. It was quite extensive for a restaurant setting. The actual building was fashioned after the original Green Dragon Tavern in Boston, where the Boston Tea party was secretly planned. We will dine here again, and highly recommend it to others.

In the dining room, the staff was very friendly and food good, but service was disappointinly slow despite being only half full. I took my dad to the Green Dragon for Father's day. The food was great and he really enjoyed the museum. My husband and I plan to return again soon with some friends for dinner. The menu is more upscale than typical "pub food". I particularly enjoyed my lobster roll. The wine and beer list has something for everyone. The only comment I can offer in the way of a "complaint" (and it is a very small one) is our server didn't seem vary familiar with the menu but the restaurant is fairly new and so, presumably, is the staff. Overall great experience.

The museum concept was fun, there is lots of interesting stuff to look at, but allow time before or after the meal. The waiter was busy with another bigger table and made excuses as to why he wasn't bringing drinks. We had to ask for steak knives and wait for the knives after the meal was sitting on our table. They seem to be still working out server logistics.

I was curious about the theme of the restaurant - 18th century tavern/museum. The food was average. I had the hamburger. The fluffy bun overwhelmed the meat and other items in between and it was dry to boot. The shoestring fries were crispy but served almost cold. I don't think I'd even be curious enough about the other menu items to give the place a second chance. The museum part was just so so...I was disappointed.

the problem with reviews, people generally only do them when they've had a bad experience. I've eaten at some of the cheapest and most expensive places you can imagine. I think they got a bad wrap, the negative reviews kept me from trying it for a couple months. Service was about a 4 star. Food we had, 5 star. Clam chowder, fantastic. Caesar salad: hard to screw up. Wedge Salad with Chicken, awesome. Brown Butter Diver Scallops, best I've ever had. Then a nice stroll through the free museum with some really nice artifacts. BTW- whoever designed the place spared no expense, really beautifully done.

We decided to try this new restaurant and we were not disappointed. The wine list was good and it is a great place to enjoy a quiet dinning meal or you can eat in the bar where the full menu is served . It has delicious food choices. It looks like they are still working on getting there word out as it was not crowded. I recommend supporting this new restaurant, they deserve it. Fyi: On the appetiser menu the bacon wrapped scallops were done perfectly as was all the dinner choices for our party of 5. Thanks Green Dragon, we will be back.

The first impression upon entering, it seemed like a jewel; clean and shiny, good lighting, families and couples strategically placed, however it quickly became laborious and aggravating. While our waiter was pleasant, it took close to 15 minutes before our drinks arrived. The menu was not New England style, sans the clam chowder, was over priced and generic at best. Food service was extremely slow. We had to literally chase our waiter down for service and the bill. Epic failure. Upon walking out we conversed with another couple who were also disappointed. We all heard the live music across the street at that new restaurant we did not know was open, went there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Made new friends and found a new dinner place!

This was our second time dining at The Green Dragon Tavern and it was excellent both times. This time we were in a party of five and everyone raved about how good the food was. Definitely try the "S'mores" dessert!
