The prix fixe menu was too good to pass up: salad/soup (my greek salad was to die for! my boyfriend said the soup was a bit bland), select entrees, and the biggest baklava I've ever been served on a plate for $31. We both ordered lamb (I ate the lamb chops - delicious! boyfriend ate lamb shanks - huge plate and so tender!) To top it all off the service is top notch and it's a BYOB. Taverna, Estiatorio, and fast food. - Fast food is well Fast Food. Greek Taverna is NOT fast food. Estiatorio(Restaurant), usually very high end and the menu is loaded with non-traditional Greek dishes and is mostly fish/seafood based. Greek Taverna is not Estiatorio. Greek Taverna isis Taverna style - Meaning that you get traditional dishes, like moussaka, pastitsio, souvlaki, gyro, lamb w lemon potatoes, and many other greek casserole style dishes that are baked in a fourno (oven), as well as some fresh fish daily.
