"All the food was great. I specially loved the black sea bass that I ordered, which I think was in an avgolemono sauce. Only one complaint; one of the desserts was a little past its prime."

"The portions were very large! Some entrees are good for sharing. We had three of the specials on the day that we dined for lunch, and all were excellent, but the price of the prawns was unexpected ($33 for 6 jumbo prawns - but they really were jumbo). The lentil soup special was delicious and the cold appetizer special for two was really for four."

"We recently dined at Greek Taverna for our 1st time. For some reason we were sat in a small room away from the main dining area. The waitress seems like she was either bored or just didn't like her job. Didn't crack a smile the whole time. Now the food, I ordered the Arnaki Tis Gastros, braised lamb with tomato sauce. The lamb was tender and very flavorful. My husband ordered Garides sta karvouna, the charcoal grilled shrimp with lemon and olive oil. The shrimp which had the shell on it was so dry and over cooked my husband could not peel the shrimp let alone eat it. We let the manager know this and he was very nice to try to fix the problem. At this point it was getting late so they just took the meal off our bill instead of replacing it."

"Our group of 8 went there as a back up plan as another restaurant was too long of a wait. We were pleasantly surprised to get the back section of the restaurant, which was like our own private room. Our waieter was attentive and we loved the byob. All food was very good and espe liked the grilled calamari appetizers. Definitely a solid place to go esp with a crowd since the restaurant is quite large."

"This place was great! It was very noisy and crowded but that kind of stuff doesn't bother me! The food was fantastic and everybody I was with had a great time. THe only downsides were that it is a little pricy, it was loud, and our server wasn't the best but overall I would go back!"

"Welcome relief to go to a restaurant on Valentine's Day that was not serving a ridiculously expensive priced-fixed dinner. Nice touch to give each woman patron a long-stemmed rose as she exited the restaurant."

"The food at Greek Taverna is good. Unfortunately there is another Greek restaurant in the area (Stamna, in Bloomfield NJ) that has spectacular food. Greek Taverna suffers in comparison. This is the second time we have dined at Greek Taverna and both times as we left we felt "we should have gone to Stamna"."
