They make all the ingredients fresh every day. The restaurant was busy and seemed down a server or two, but everything was spot on. Last time we were here, there were some missteps. Just went to celebrate my daughters graduation and everything was perfect. They let us bring a cake in, cut it for us and plated.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBeyond My Expectations!!I was intrigued by the idea of a restaurant that uses locally harvested ingredients and being a vegetarian, it can be difficult to find a nice place to eat in Newport. I was pleasantly surprised to see that all of the menu items looked absolutely incredible. I came for my birthday with a party of 9 and they were very accomodating. I got the Newport Sandwich and it was out of this world! I highly recommend trying this place at least once. Only downside is, it's a bit pricy (not too much) but then again, you're getting premium ingredients! I was with a group of 6 people for lunch. We started with the portobello mushroom fries and the cheese board. The fries were surprisingly good and the sauce served with them was perfect. Even people at the table who don't really like cheese enjoyed the cheese board! I had the Moroccan spiced lamb burger with fries. I was pleased when the waiter said that was the best thing on the menu. My coworkers were all happy with their food, too. Good choices for everyone from beautiful salads to ribs to my favorite, turkey bolognese pasta. It's impossible to find pastas without shellfish or red meat in the sauce. This is a delicious dish made even healthier by the addition of carrots. My husband had the ribs and loved them. I was looking forward to my visit to your restaurant. The service was excellent....the noise level outside was "noisy."
