This is the second time I have been here. I went with two special friends.
The noise was so loud that we had to yell at each other to barely understand each other. The food was good but was way overpriced. There was a lobster tail on the special that one of us got that seemed a bit too small, only 2 inches long, and the sauce on my dish was way too salty. We had to request a steak knife for the filet mingon.
The physical place resembles an old jail, as it should. It is located in an old jail. Use of many of the jail's original hardware is well done.

This is our fourth time dining at The Great Escape and we LOVE the place. The food is incredible and requests for specific changes are honored if the diner requests say a different sauce than is on the menu. The wait staff is extremely pleasant and polite. We have taken various friends there and will continue to do so. It is definitel one of my FAVORITE restaurants.

The service was extremely slow. We had a big group and it took almost 2 1/2 hours for our meal. We went early to try to avoid the dinner rush and this didn't help. The food was great but the service ruined the overall experience.

We went out for our daughter's birthday and couldn't of been happier dining at Great Escape. Our table for 6 was waiting for us for our 8:00 reservation. The waiter greeted us promtly, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had 2 appertizers the mussels were fantastic and the asparagus bundles were yummy. 2 of us had the sirloin steaks and they were seasoned perfectly and cooked as we asked. My husband had the ribeye steak and loved it. All the dishes were perfect. Our waiter was attentive. We can't wait to go back and try some of the great sounding dishes.

Food was decent but not as good as the price would lead you to believe. It was very loud, I had to shout to have my date hear me accross the table. Other than that, the service was very good and friendly and its a very nice-looking place. I look forward to trying it again in the summer when I can sit outside.
