We had a party of 8 people and we were told to order quickly because it was busy and there seemed to be a hurry to get us out. I got the "Sausage and pepper" dinner which turned out to be 90% pasta and tomato sauce with minimal sausage or pepper. This was not worth $24, and should have been $6. The appetizers were good. Overall a mediocre experience considering the prices. Would no go back.

We were sat in the upstairs where every table was empty. It was November and 40 degrees outside but they had air conditioning on very high and blowing hard into the upstairs area. We immediately asked to be moved on one of the many open tables (the restaurant was about 20% full. We were told that would not be possible as all the other tables were reserved for later times. We asked the hostess and a couple servers to please turn down the air conditioning but they apparently were not able to. We ate the entire meal with our winter coats on. When a second family was eventually sat upstairs they also immediately asked to move with their two small children. They were also told "no". Disappointed that no supervisor ever tried to help.

Our server started off by basically telling us to eat and get out by saying that they were about to get really busy. Then the server tried to get us to order within about 2 minutes of sitting down, and came back very frequently. We felt extremely rushed despite trying to celebrate a special occasion. Also, we had to take a double take at both of our dishes because they only partly resembled their descriptions from the menu.

The garlic bread is awesome! Then the regular bread with herb olive oil was amazing too....we almost couldn't eat but then our food game and we just had to dive in. I had the squash ravioli's in a butter based sauce that was rich without being overdone and tasty...I love when I can taste the individual flavors and they meld together in the mouth. The lasagna had a nice kick to it by including a spicy sausage. All together a good place that reminds of us of our favorite Italian places back home in NJ.

We had reservations for 7:30 but our schedule opened up around 6:00 so we went to see if we could be seated. They were very accommodating and seated us right away. We started with soups. I had the tomato basil and it was very good. My wife had the mushroom brie and it was memorable. I can say without a doubt that it was the best thing we had there. I ordered the Italian chopped salad. It was a huge salad and full of delicious Italian meats and cheeses. The vinaigrette was a perfect compliment. My wife had the meatball sandwich. The meatballs were tender and juicy. The bread was crusty and a perfect vehicle for the meatballs, melted mozzarella and tangy sauce. The service was attentive and the room volume allowed easy dinner conversation.

We had 7 in our party and ordered a variety of entrees. Every entree was incr doubly salty. Although salt may be a personal taste, the fact that every entree was over salted speaks volumes about what was happening in the kitchen. The room we were in was very loud. It made it difficult to have a conversation at our table,

Conveniently located on the downtown square in bloomington. The restaurant had a good variety if food....even kale salad. The wait staff did a good job and the background music was set at a nice, low level. The pizza with truffle oil was very tasty. And the tomato soup was comparable to the style we like. The prices were reasonable for what was served. This is a restaurant we will go back to.

We ended up calling and arriving earlier than our reservation was set for. They were not very busy at 5:30. We were seated and a waiter came by within a few minutes to take our drink and food order. Our food was brought out within about 5 minutes of us ordering it. I realize both my wife and I ordered a pasta dish, but it was almost too fast.

We had reservation at 730. We arrived and they said our reservation was at 8 which then I showed our confirmation. Didn't get seated until 830 and didn't eat until after 10. Out of certain food. One person had to leave because they had to be somewhere. Never had a problem before during busy weekends. Manager said a Table paid but sat there and he didn't want to tell them that our group was waiting.

We were seated promptly for our 7p reservation and our order was taken within 10 minutes. Appetizer (bruschetta, but no fresh mozzarella as requested) and drinks were served quickly, and then we waited until 8:10 for our main course to arrive. Server came by several times saying the kitchen got slammed by some big parties, but that only goes so far. A manager should have come over and at least apologized for the situation, if not offering to comp the appetizer or a drink. Food was so-so - definitely not worth the wait. Gnocchi was doughy and steak was tasty but fatty.

We enjoy this restaurant when we are in Bloomington, Indiana. We have now been there twice upon the recommendation of a friend. It was a crowded evening with IU students and their families being in town. The food is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. The service can be very slow as it was last night. The waitress was pleasant The pasta was a little dry and tasteless. We will definitely return to the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I dined at Gratzie this past Friday night. The food was good and the service was decent. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was nice, but was not over the top friendly. This is the second time I have dined at Gratzie and it is the second time they were out of multiple items I, or someone in my party, has tried to order. This time they were out of two different food items and one type of beer we tried to order. Neither one of us had the opportunity to order what we wanted to eat. We would have had a much better experience had this not happened.

The food was good. I ordered a Filet Medium Rare. The outside was burnt. To the point that is tasted charred. The inside was cooked perfect and was tender. The mashed potatoes were very chunky and could have used some more mashing. The broccoli was under cooked and unremarkable. My daughter had the herb crusted lamb. Again, good but not great. For the prices charged I expected it to be "wow". In addition, we were freezing. I asked the waiter about having the temp turned down. He said he'd ask- we never heard any more about it. Don't think I'd go back- especially with all of the choices in Bloomington.

I had enjoyed Grazie's Bruschetta recently at a benefit, so after living in this town for 19 years, I decided to make a reservation for my family. We had a 6:15 reservation, and did not receive our food until 7:10, despite the fact that there were tables free around us. Soon after we arrived, my husband was hit by flying food caused by a collision between wait staff and a customer coming down a ramp from the restroom. This unsafe situation continued throughout our meal. Our table was placed in such a way that we were continually ducking or having our chair hit by those serving food. The food itself: pork and pasta penablia fine, the manicotti overwhelming with unseasoned ricotta. Bloomington has some fabulous restaurants. This isn't one.
