I am very glad we went to Grasso's. The food was excellent and the music absolutely lovely and not too loud (although we requested to be in the room adjacent to the group--I am sensitive to loud sounds). The wait service was very attentive and timely. The owner is very friendly and apologized for the wait as it was restaurant week. We had reservations for 7:00 and were taken right away, the service was attentive without being cloying, the food was delicious and it was a wonderful night...they don't rush you...which is a good thing...as this is a little pricey and I wanted to enjoy my dining experience without being rushed. But Make a ReservationI'm so excited to finally find a restaurant in Long Island where I'm not constantly reminded of Long Island, i.e. Billy Joel songs or menu items from 30 years ago. Fabulous place! Nice pours at the bar, friendly, best whole Branzino fish served tableside, manager/owner? visited the tables, and our tiramisu was on the house because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
