On a recent trip back for the day, we were saddened and worried to discover that it had changed owners. However, the food is just as good as ever! And the wine list was excellent. We've been going there for years and have watched it through many seasons. The new owners have done a wonderful job with the new interior (fresh, contemporary, uncomplicated, better lit, and better arranged). My scallops were superb! And the wait staff? The best ever! I highly recommend this place for all kinds of occasions. Go there! We also had the tarragon pappardelle and ravioli with spinach and ricotta and both were very good. The wine list is extremely extensive.
We had an excellent server.
We sat in the front room which was pleasant. I had never been seated there before.

It was a very comfortable atmosphere with moderate noise level and plenty of room. Our bartender and server was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions, wine pairings, etc. The menu had changed since we were last here so there were plenty of new things to try. We enjoyed our first course most, oyster stew and a gnocchi special, which were both excellent. I was happy to see that the dining room has since been renovated and the level of quietness has improved dramatically. I'll be back, and soon!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Grapevine has been a favoriteThe Grapevine has been a favorite for 20 years. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was now on the Open Table list. On arrival we noted some small changes from the restuarant such as the entry from a different door. After a look at the menu it was apparent that the restuarant was under new ownership. That is always scary but in this case it worked well. The menu has a decided "Northern Mediterranean" and American influence. My dining partner swooned over a delicious oyster stew and I thoroughly enjoyed an artichoke salad. Her Tagliatelle entre was well presented and excellent. My cod was a work of art and delicious. For dessert we shared an ample chocolate mousse. The service was excellent and prices fair.
