The hostess had no record of my reservation and confused about what to do, despite the fact that the business was mostly empty. I asked her to move us to a table that wasn't in the center of the room. The server took about 10 minutes to come to take drink orders. The burgers were tasty but as greasy as I've ever had. A tap house that only offers afew beers is ridiculous. Definitely won't go back

Ate Chicken Cacciatore with a side of the seasonal veggies. All was delicious, service was great. Large portions and reasonable prices for Ashland. Will definitely return.

I love this place. We go here every year for dinner when we visit Ashland. Food, service, atmosphere, beers on tap...it's all great. Can't wait till next year!

The two in our party who had burgers particularly liked them. The pizza had been highly recommended in other reviews, but I found it meh. It's probably a matter of ordering the right dish.

The water, white wine and entres were all lukewarm. It took over an hour to get our appetizers. Very slow service overall. We almost missed the 8pm show.

Stopped in at Granite Taphouse prior to a play. Had reservations through Open Window that never reached the receptionist but they graciously fit us in. After being seated, service was dreadfully slow...took a long time to get waited on and even longer to get our drinks and food. Even with an hour and a half window before the play began, I didn't get my food early enough to finish it, let alone enjoy it. And my son's food came fifteen minutes before the rest of the family's. Too bad..I think under different conditions it could be a great place for a casual meal and drinks but they've got too improve their service...looking around, we weren't the only ones awaiting our meal so it seemed systemic rather than situational.

The food is very good; Philly cheesesteak superb and salads great. That's all we have tasted except....fabulous onion rings!! Really awesome! One of the owners is the only server which is ok if not busy. We were there at lunch and if you weren't going to a play, no problem. Our first two choices for wine were not available. That has happened before.

We read about this restaurant because it was in a former Masonic Temple. I am not really a "foodie" but I had a hamburger and my wife has a lobster sandwich. Both were excellent. The home made beer batter onion rings were outstanding but too filling. Should have had one order to share. They have a large rotating selection of craft brews.

We always enjoy the beer on tap at Granite Taphouse, like the name implies. Their specials are good, and it's a fun time before plays at OSF.

The kitchen had some problem with our order, and it took forever to arrive--which was unfortunate as we were on the way to the theater. That said, I've never had a server try harder to make it better. She apologized profusely and brought us an appetizer. When the food arrived, it was quite good - an excellent green goddess salad in particular. To my surprise, the restaurant comped us the entire meal. I've certainly experienced restaurant snafus before (hey, life's not perfect), but Granite Taphouse made more of an effort to try to remedy the problem than any place I can think of. Instead of it being a bad experience, we left feeling that this place really cares about customers and service.
