I had the Filet, cooked medium with mashed and a nice veal/Cabernet reduction I think. Paula had the Lamb, medium, with Garlic Polenta.No wine, just lemon water.Although the wine list looked very well selected. The meals were very well prepared and presented. The waiter was friendly and professional. It is one of my favorite restaurants. We didn't like our table in the far room and our request for a move to the fireplace room was graciously handled. It was my husband's birthday and it was generous that he was treated to a dessert. We very much appreciated the deameanor and skill of Erica, our server. Tami our server was awesome, very professional and knowledgeable about the cuisine choices. I was able to book on Open Table and make a request for a quite section (Thursday night). The food was simply the best. The portion sizes were appropriate and very unique. We had reservations but they couldn't accommodate us immediately but we didn't have to wait too long. We had delicious meals that were creatively prepared and presented, and boy were they tasty. My curried quinoa and tofu stuffed peppers were unique and relish, the lamb was great, the scallops were great with lemon fettucine, and the pork chop was a very generous serving and relish. I had what I think was the best lemon sorbet. The food was wonderful for our late morning breakfast but I was particularly impressed with the service we received. Our waitress was quick to ask if we needed to be served in short-order or were we looking to relax and take our time. We felt most welcomed and comfortable throughout our visit. They are from Bedford NH with a lot of good restaurant choices but thought it would be worth the ride to Concord and dine at The Granite Restaurant. Chef Corey always puts out a great quality product and he did so once again. The other couple suggested because it was a Monday night that we probably did not need reservations.
