  • "We stayed at the Centennial Hotel over the Easter weekend and ate at The Granite Restaurant. The food was delicious! We started with a cup of clam chowder and it was the best clam chowder we have ever tasted. The filet mignon I had melted in my mouth and my husband's scallops were cooked to perfection. We finished off with the chocolate moulton cake. Wow! We had excellent service by Nick. Thank you!"

  • "A nice little restaurant tucked away in a Victorian era hotel. Our first time in Concord and we weren't sure what to expect inside the large, brick building; however, we were pleasantly surprised with the upscale décor of the lobby and the restaurant. The salads broke away from the traditional and were outstanding. The entrees were to go back for. Also, both came in half or full portions which delighted my wife. The service was exceptional."

  • "We returned to Granite as a couple after having taken family groups there. The restaurant and the bar were full and the noise was initially too high for quiet conversation. However, the staff was pleasant and the table ready. The cocktails (French 75, New Old Fashioned) were a nice play on the classics. The starters, a fennel / fish soup and tiny gnocchi were delicious, and the entrees did not disappoint: perfectly broiled scallops and a very intense beef rib. We enjoyed an outstanding Ribiera del Duero, ending our meal with a tasting of american cheeses instead of dessert. We recommend it for occasions, a splurge or a power business meal. Beware - Concord dines early - at 9:30 on a Saturday we were the last ones having our expresso"

  • "Great resturant. The food was outstanding and the Chef's subtle twists were surprising and so good."

  • "This is our second recent visit spaced over a couple or three weeks and again the wine list was not up to date. In this day of electronic printing and inventory control it would seem an easy feat to keep a nice wine list current with what is in stock and the vintage instead of choosing the 3rd or 4th wine on an extensive menu before picking one available."

  • "Our first time was lovely. We loved our choices. The half plates were just perfect. I was a bit disappointed with your beer choices. You seemed to be out of many of the choices I wanted. All in all we will definitely come back."

  • "This was by far the best dinner out I have ever experienced. Service was amazing and the food was equally as amazing. If I could afford it I would eat there a lot more often. The only con would be that, having never been here before, I found it a little awkward getting into the building. The the parking lot did not direct me to an entrance and the entrance didnt have a great sign in my opinion."

  • "It's one of thse places that the dishes are not gigantic but every bit is incredible and you leave there full. I was at a dance competition with my daughter and was staying overnight. I would definitely take back the family!"

  • "This place is a gem on all counts -- delicious, creative dishes and superb service. We're lucky to have it here in Concord."

  • "For foodies of all kinds - this is the place for you!!! We were so impressed with our first visit... After reading reviews online - and perusing their menu online as well - we decided to make dinner and brunch reservations out of convenience. We are super excited that we did. We LOVED our meals... Honestly, the flavors were distinct and amazing - presentation a 10!!! The energy amongst the staff - and to the kitchen (as we could hear the interaction as they swung the doors open to get food) staff was great. We heard them thank one another - and they were delightful to interact with. It was a superb experience for us."

  • "The Granite Room is consistently high quality food and service. I enjoy going there for lunch as well as for dinner and most often take visitors from out of town there as well and they are always impressed. Chef Corey Fletcher is simply awesome!"

  • "We have eaten here many times and each time the food and wait staff have been excellent. If it is for a special occasion or just the two of us we've always gotten a great meal."

  • "The food was great, the drinks were excellent. The sea scallop, rare tuna, and duck entrées were all perfectly prepared, and yummy. Our group were the loudest in the restaurant, it was a lot of fun. The bar is kind of small, but it's a very intimate place to dine. The hostess and our waitress were fantastic, even though they could not find our open table reservation. The Granite is a solid restaurant in Concord New Hampshire, and I'll be back again."

  • "This is a very nice, quaint restaurant in Concord. The ambiance is very nice and the food was fantastic! I'm quite picky about ordering duck at restaurants but their confit was incredible. The dishes are put together very well and the flavor combinations were different in a good way. The service was excellent even with it being busy at prime dinner hours on a Saturday evening. I highly recommend this place if you've never been. Two thumbs up!"

  • "My wife and have have been here many times, recently for my birthday, when we hosted family in the private dining room, and then for her mother's birthday. Along with Angelina's, it is one of the two places in Concord for something above the ordinary. Half portions enable some economizing (it''s not an inexpensive place) and provide the amount of food we all should be eating instead the gigantic portions most restaurants routinely supply (and they leave room for dessert if you are so inclined)."

  • "My boss works in Maine; I am in Vermont. The Granite Restaurant is the perfect place for us to get together to discuss business. Parking is hassle-free and the environment is quiet. It is easy for us to drive-in, talk business over a delicious lunch, and drive-out."

  • "I took my granddaughter to Granite for Valentine's brunch. It was very nice. The food was great, the ambiance was nice, and the young lady who served us was wonderful. We hope to make many more visits, and I recommend this restaurant enthusiastically."

  • "we had a lovely dinner for two from their special menu for Valentines Day. Beef tenderloin wrapped in bacon done to perfection, and cod with mussels, shrimp, and bay scallops in cream sauce also excellent. We have enjoyed breakfast and brunch here several times and dinner did not disappoint."

  • "Truly enjoyed our meal. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend. Everything was perfect, the drinks, the food, service, and atmosphere. You won't be disappointed."

  • "Very nice location, atmosphere and ambiance. I liked that it was a fixed price menu, but it had a good variety of choices. The presentation of the food was lovely, The taste was superior. Will return again on a non-special occasion."

  • "Have noticed a huge difference with the food since the old chef left. Food is good and on paper sounds amazing but very underwhelming when it arrives. I will still come for brunch but I'm sad to say this is no longer my favorite restaurant. Not worth the money for a special romantic dinner with my husband. I also felt bad for waitress, only one working on day before valentines day. Waited 20 minutes for a small cocktail. Very under staffed. Also waitress wasn't too knowledgable with menu."

  • "With the restaurant scene north of Concord less than desirable this one is our new "go to" place. Well worth the hour drive to and from. Service, food quality and especially the drinks were stellar in every way. What a find in Concord. We are usually not fans of restaurants located in hotels or other venues but this is a true exception. The filet was cooked perfectly, the hanger steak was great and so was the salmon. They had a special appy of lobster fritters, just as good as in the islands. Only minor complaint was the time it took to get our drinks from being seated, but they were very busy. The bar looked like a great place to mingle and eat. Way to go Granite, you have earned us as new regular customers. I only wish we lived closer."

  • "We have had dinner, breakfast, and brunch here several times, never disappointed. Food is excellent. On this particular brunch occasion, our meals took an hour to arrive at the table. We arrived between two very busy periods and also had some special requests for gluten free and dairy free meal for one guest, so we expected some delays not related to any shortcomings of our server, who was very pleasant. Great dining spot."

  • "All four of us enjoyed our meals. We like th option of having a choice between a 1/2 portion or full portion of the entree. I enjoy dessert when I go out as i don't have it at home. Many times the meal is too much food and I pass on dessert. The 1/2 portion was ideal. I would definately eat here again but will ask for a table further away from the bar. It was difficult to carry on a conversation after the bar was full of people. Two of us in the party wear hearing aids."

  • "Heard great things about this restaurant, but the service was so bad it ruined the experience. The duck was great, but the presentation was terrible."

  • "It was New Year's Eve and they had a fixed 4 course menu with selections in each of the courses. The food, at the Granite Restaurant is excellent. I had the Seared Foie Gras as a starter and it was wonderful. The cauliflower soup that followed was also great. My recent "adverse cardiac event" limited my entree selection to the Trumpet Mushroom and Quinoa dish which was good. However, my partner's bacon wrapped tenderloin was great. Alas, my mango custard dessert looked scrumptious but I had it boxed and brought it home to the kids lest Doctor Blackheart find out and make me eat tree bark and tofu for a year as punishment. Mixed drinks and wine can be outrageously expensive. Be careful what you order. Two cosmos cost $25."

  • "This is our favorite restaurant!! We have eaten here four times in the past six months including a family dinner and have never been disappointed!! Of special interest is that they offer 1/2 servings on all main entrees. No question this is the best restaurant in the Concord/Manchester area here in New Hampshire!!"

  • "My husband and I decided to try brunch here one Sunday - the prices were reasonable, considering the location. We both ordered breakfasy and were vastly underwhelmed. Food was fine, but not worth the higher price we paid for eggs and toast. Overall, there is a nice, fancy feel to the restaurant, but the food, while acceptable, is not worth the price."

  • "We have been several times now over the course of two years and enjoy the food always, the wine most of the time and the service has been very good each time. The only gripe is the noise which comes from close seating in the two dining areas which are adjacent to the bar. It is not deafening but not conducive to serious romance or conversation."

  • "Invited the leader of a non-profit to celebratory lunch to a restaurant that he had not previously visited . . . everything was superb!"

  • "Overall we would go back because of the food! It was perfectly portioned, and so tasty. Service was great to start and as it became busier it seemed our server was a bit bogged down. Overall service checked in when the food came, but it seemed rushed when checking in and slow coming back to check in. However we would go back for a nice night out!"

  • "The appetizer I had was tasteless. I ordered the small filet mignon which was tasty and certainly 4 oz. but there was so little other vegetables on the plate that I left the restaurant hungry. I am a small eater but this was tiny to an extreme. The presentation was also poor. The dining room was also so cold that there were diners who kept their coats on. We would not hurry back."

  • "We went here before seeing a show at the Capitol Center for the Arts. Drinks were good, food was delicious, especially the stuffed apple appetizer and the duck for dinner. Service was good, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The half size on the dinner was a great idea since I did not want to fill up too much before the show. Although it did leave room for us to split a really scrumptious chocolate orange dessert. I would go back again!"

  • "Granite is a very good restaurant, conveniently located right in downtown Concord in the also very nice Centennial Hotel. Food was smart, well-prepared, and tasty. We especially liked the possibility of half-portions for most entrees--very smart. Excellent and reasonably priced wine list. Service both friendly and efficient. Drinks generous. We also had a very nice brunch there the following morning. We were just passing through but wish this was in our hometown!!"
