This is part of the fixe prix, speaking of which, was an incredible low cost of $29 per person. The waitstaff was very friendly which made our dinner that much nicer!"

  • "What a gem of a restaurant. We had a lovely lunch before touring the museum, it makes for a memorable day out. The food was delicious (we had the pleasure to experience Korean food during the pop-up weekend) and very reasonably priced. I enjoyed the cocktails as well. The service was excellent, all the staff were hospitable and friendly. We look forward to dining at the restaurant again!"

  • "The Korean Pop-Up restaurant was a disappointment. The food was just too far from authentic Korean to be enjoyed by anyone who really knows the cuisine, as I do. I wish they had brought in a Korean chef for the event...they didn't...I asked. Even a Korean grandmother might have done a better job. Or, they could have partnered with Drexel's hospitality department and brought in a team of student chefs who took their Korean cuisine class. The next time the museum wants to expand the visitor experience in relation to a particular exhibit by creating a themed restaurant, which I think is a fantastic idea, they should consider bringing in a guest chef that really knows the cuisine and knows how to cook it. It will make all the difference."

  • "I enjoyed my lunch at the Korean pop up event. There was three of us for lunch. We ate the crab cakes and glas noodles with a side dish of Brussel sprouts. For dessert we had the dim sum donuts. All of the dishes were tasty but not necessarily unique or memorable. I was expecting a little more Korean flair/fare. I think I was expecting too much however because this resturant is in the philadelphia museum of art and they do have to cater to a wide audience and tase. I would eat here again to try there regular fare."

We have been to the restaurant many times and the previous owner/caterer was far superior. We will not eat there again. McDonalds would be an improvement."

  • "Elegant understated decor. Five-star food. Five-star waiters. The "chef's table" (buffet) included smoked salmon, pan roasted salmon, tender rare sirloin, hoisin chicken, local artisnal cheeses, a "mac & cheese" that must have been made with an artisnal cheddar, quiche, vegan selections, mini lemon tarts, and a variety of Korean foods to complement the special exhibit at the museum. Each dish tasted even better than it looked. At $20 the "chef's table" is a huge bargain, too. I noticed that the restaurant also has children's meals (chicken fingers and fries and probably other choices). I don't live in Philadelphia, but every time I visit I will make a point of going to Granite Hill."

  • "I always love the Art Museum Main Dining area; a place for quiet relaxation. "Granite Hill" is striving to offer more unique cuisine. The "art table" cuisine offerings consisted of some Korean delicacies (in line with the current Korean art exhibit) and other more comfort fare. A limited wine list but satisfactory. The main menu listing covered a variety of tastes from the unusual lamb meatballs with roasted eggplant and peppers (which I enjoyed thoroughly) to turkey club and hamburgers. In attempting to keep up with expected Flatbread menus, theirs was chewy with cubed bacon bits that was not appetizing. Otherwise, it is a restaurant that I will continue to visit upon future trips because I like its ambience."

  • "The upscale dining venue for the Philadelphia Museum of Art offers good food, fair service but when coupled an event or just a visit to the Museum it moves up a notch or so just because of convenience. We happen to be there on a vegetarian evening, the entrees were served "not hot". The Chef's table held perhaps 10-12 interesting and tasty items ranging from flat breads , salads to a few nice cheeses with no limit on returns. My entree was supposed to be egg plant filled raviolis but was artichoke fill and served cool. The service was very slow and uneven. A nice venue with large windows facing a west sunset above gardens and the river. I am sure the moderate noise level could change with the patrons."

  • "For my husband's birthday, he opted for a day at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We started with the Sunday brunch at Granite Hill. The trout, coffee, and wine were perfect; the desserts, especially the chocolate pot de creme and French macaroons were excellent; the frisee salad was fun with a delightful presentation; the Chicken Provencal, mimosa salad of arugula and asparagus, and the charcuterie and salmon offerings were very good; the short ribs and the creme brulee French toast were a bit dry, and the cheeses, though deemed too young by my "I prefer washed-rind" husband, were eaten with appreciation. Friendly helpful staff. Wonderfully calm ambience. Brunch at Granite Hill was a great way to start an artful day. Totally recommended."

There was a small selection of delectable, interesting, and fresh foods, just enough to satisfy anyone. Service was excellent, attentive, and not offhand in any way.   • "Everything was lovely for our date night on Valentine's Day. The only downside was that the restaurant closes at 8:45 (huh??) and we were rushed out by two rude security guards from the museum. Our server and Eric the host were extremely attentive and accommodating and apologized for the way we were being treated to leave the premises as though we were being escorted out for breaking a law of some sort... Left a very bad taste after what was truly a delicious, decadent dinner."

  • "We have been to Granite Hill several times, already being members to the museum. But this Valentine's was quite a treat. We browsed the artwork, listened to a very talented musician during Art After 5, and had an amazing dinner. It was a set course selection comprised of salad, appetizer, scallop dish, a main course of filet with sides, a cheese sampler plate, and then an amazing chocolate soufflé. We loved it!"

  • "Our lunch at Granite Hill was for a birthday and the age range went from 3 mo to Grandpa. We were seated at a round in the corner which was great. Our waiter was competent; not particularly friendly. The service was slow but it worked out for us. If we were there as a twosome, I think it would have felt really sluggish. I'm sorry they changed the decor which now is so bland as to be uninteresting. In the museum this seems a shame. The food itself was very good. There was no recognition of the birthday by the restaurant. There is a nice grown-up, serene atmosphere which we appreciated."

  • "I am never disappointed when I visit Granite Hill. It's a lovely, quiet spot to have lunch with friends, a date, or even dine alone. The Chef's Table changes frequently so you can always try something new that you may not normally order on a menu. Among other positive points: Portions are perfect - neither too large or small Great variety in drinks and desserts (can also BYOB, if I recall correctly) Top-notch service from the waitstaff Even if you don't plan on visiting the museum, Granite Hill is worth making a reservation for!"
