  • "You've brought back your good old recipe for hamburgers! Thank you!"

  • "The service was excellent, however, the food was a bit disappointing."

  • "Give this hidden gem a try great food and excellent service"

  • "Service was great with a reasonably priced wine list. Our fish was overcooked and flavorless."

  • "Great service; Great menu. Cool place just of the Plaza to grab a bite and hang out."

  • "My wife loved the Hanna Sauv Blanc and I got one of my faves - Estancia Pinot Noir. I ordered the wedge salad, and she ordered the beet salad. The service was very good. The beet salad was a solid triple - the only strange thing was a weird fig ball that neither of us could figure out, and it was dry and odd. Otherwise - great. The wedge - pretty good. Not enough bacon, and the WORST chicken I can recall ever paying for. Don't get me wrong, the salad was very good. Crisp, cold, superb dressing, mostly very good, but I would have opted for more bacon and omitted that nasty, flavorless, dry, tough chicken. If I order that wedge again, I'll tell them I'm allergic to chicken, because I am allergic to any chicken that bad. Mostly very good."

  • "Such a diverse and wonderful menu- from appetizers to desserts. I cannot express how incredibly tasty their food is. The décor is beautiful, and the wait staff was really attentive and knowledgeable too. Every person in my group RAVED about their order choices, and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to out of town guests, as well as, local foodies. WOW is all I have to say about their new menu and chef! I would eat here at any opportunity."

  • "I have enjoyed Grand Street for years and am never disappointed, whether for lunch or dinner. The food is always fresh and presented pleasantly. This time the waiter seemed to be new and a little unsure of himself. However, he didn't hesitate to get someone more informed to answer a couple of questions. This is a restaurant I'm always willing to recommend."

  • "On the menu is a Chicken Ciabatta sandwich, which is good. However, if you ask the wait staff, you can get the same sandwich with a salmon filet substituted for the chicken, which is crazy good."

  • "We love to sit on the patio for lunch or dinner. Pam had the Paparadelle Pasta and I had (as I always do) the Pork Chop. Caesar salads are always a good"

  • "Group of 8 had an excellent time. Happy hour small plates & cocktails were delicious and we had fun sampling several dishes. Definitely on my list for the next friends' get together."

  • "Everything about the dinner was perfect. From the small plates to the special of the evening, Grouper.....delicious!"
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "I have eaten at Grand Street Cafe before but never for brunch. It was so good! I can't wait to go back. I was so full and bummed because I couldn't even find any room for the dessert bar but it looked amazing!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "We were excited to see the beautiful new decor when we walked in. The place looks great! Out waitress was not very pleasant, and we had to flag her down every time we needed anything. The wine we ordered was super warm, almost hot. Even red wine is not supposed to be served at 80 degrees! Crab cakes tasted fishy, and sauces were to chunky and didn't taste very good. The chicken entree was dry & tough, had to saw at it with a steak knife. The best part of our meal were the small salads we got before our meal. It didn't justify the $122 check what so ever."

  • " Treated a friend to a 2pm lunch on a Friday afternoon. This place was heaven! The staff was attentive without being overbearing. The special was grouper with asparagus and it didn’t disappoint. The wine pours were generous to say the least. They were obviously making preparations for the dinner rush, but they went about the transition in a way that did not detract from our dining experience. I would highly recommend this wonderful neighborhood gem. The parking is also very convenient and the prices are reasonable."

  • "I really enjoyed the opportunity to dine with old friends at the Grand Street Café. The food was excellent, noise level at a point we could converse easily, and pleasant wait staff. We plan to return."

  • "An out of town friend and I enjoyed a great lunch with a terrific server helping us. We shared a Bills chicken salad and a hamburger. Both were excellent"

  • "Always enjoyable. Food, service and atmosphere. Convenient parking."

  • "The food was great, probably one of the few original menus in the city. They've done some menu changes for the summer that boggles the mind like removing braised short rib and replacing it with a short rib pot pie that's very filling and lots of dough and more of a dish for the winter holidays. They've also added a halibut but served it with peppers and red sauce which doesn't complement such a fresh clean fish. But overall it's still the most original menu in town and worth a try. If I wasn't critical of such a good restaurant I wouldn't be doing them any justice. "

  • "Great atmosphere, service and food. Made a special occasion even better!"

  • "Our Server Tim was wonderful and gave excellent service. The Buffet was excellent and had great choices including an omelet service. My only minor concern was our table. I was hoping for a table with a view of the fountains but as it turned out being close to the food line was great for the elderly ladies we were entertaining."

  • "There may be new a new interior but the quality of the food and service has declined. The stereo (not music for ambiance) was blaring above an all ready "straining to speak and hear" crowd. Really disappointing meal. "
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "Noise level is really too high when busy at lunch or dinner. Sound buffering needs to be high on the list of things to do."
    Dined on 5/12/2014
  • "Great service, good food. Back patio a secret! Happy hours are also very good!"
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "We have been going to Grand Street for years and love the outdoor patio. The restaurant has changed ownership in the last several years and I think that the quality of both the food and service has gone down. Our server was good but a little too friendly and the menu is not as strong as it used to be. I like the way it is decorated (they updated the interior after the new owners took over). I have to say that it is not as reliably excellent as I remember from the previous owners."

  • "I am very fond of the steak tacos, but switched to the spring rolls. Very good....but LOTS. Also ordered the deviled eggs. Didn't really care for the bacon on top, though I know that bacon is coming back as an "addition" to a dish. Overall, we had a great time, though wish the tables were larger, or that one could ask the server to remove unnecessary things. We had four glasses, plus shaker, all the lamps, flowers, condiments, plus three plates of food. Too many items, and too little table. "

  • "Atmosphere was nice. Waited over 30 min for food. Server was great. Apologetic & offered a dessert for our wait. Food was good. Pasta was not cooked enough, very chewy, in one of the meals. Expected better for the long wait."

  • "Not only was I impressed with the food and ambiance for the evening, but the kid's menu was outstanding!!! My son is in love with Cheese Pizza and he had an entire medium-sized pizza for himself - for only $5!!! The presentation was impressive! I had the scallops and my husband had the duck carbonara. We had the carrot cake and chocolate pastry (can't remember what it was called) and they were also VERY good! This is a great place for a romantic date but also great for the family. LOVE IT!!!"

  • "We always enjoy dining at Grand Street Cafe and our latest visit was no exception. The food was excellent and the waiter very helpful and attentive. We look forward to returning. "

  • "It seems that many people who knew each other were dining the night we went. Many tables talking across the restaurant or stopping at various tables to chat. "

  • "We recently dined at the Grand Street Cafe and returned with my parents on a Sunday. They too enjoyed the food and service (we had the same wonderful waiter). We have been very pleased with the menu choices the two times we have visited."

  • "My son was visiting for the weekend and we took him there for dinner. We requested to sit outside on the patio. They told us that several people had tried to sit outside but came back in because it was very windy. We sat outside anyway. It was windy but we really enjoy dining outside so we didn't mind it. Our server said she was going to bring us a complimentary dessert due to the wind annoyance, even though it didn't really bother us. However, when she found out that the following day was my birthday, she actually brought us two complimentary desserts! Besides the great service the food was really good too. This was our second visit to Grand Street Cafe and we will definitely be going back!"

  • "Met a couple for dinner. We were seated promptly & greeted by out server Melissa who was beyond delightful & so energetic it was very refreshing. This young lady was so helpful in making our dinner selections...grilled salmon salad, baked cod, scallops & a sirloin steak wedge were all mouthwatering. Everyone enjoyed their dining experience...would return."

  • "I can always count on Grand Street as a great place to bring friends. The new menu had some nice selections. The noise level sometimes interfered with our conversations; but, it was great that the restaurant was packed with customers. Even though tables were available we felt a bit hurried to exit our table. That being said, we hadn't been together for over a year and we probably could have stayed all day. Next time we'll splurge and order dessert to "buy" us some extra time to visit. I like Grand Street so much, I'm hosting another friend there today. Thanks."
