  • "We had a beautiful easter buffet with an amazing view and sticky buns to die for!"

  • "Always our first pick for any occasion. Our mother is in her ninety's and always enjoys the trip to downtown Pittsburgh and to Station Square."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "I was disappointed because I thought the Easter buffet was going to me more elaborate. There was nothing special to make me want to return."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "Our family enjoyed Easter brunch at the Grand Concourse. The variety is wonderful. We were surprised the lines were small or did not exist with all the customers. Our favorite was the sticky buns and the homemade donuts! "

  • "Very disappointed, one step above Golden Corral. For the price, go to the Eat'n Park Easter buffett, you know what you are getting and the quality of the food is higher. Never again."

  • "Easter brunch was overally pretty good. Food selections were fairly limited and plebian, but the food lines were kept well stocked despite the Easter crunch. Desserts were not bakery quality - think Chinese food buffet stuff... Wait was fairly long, over 30 minutes, for having reservations. Staffing level was reasonable, though we did have to look for our waiter to get beverage refills. The building is beautiful and definitely worth seeing for an out of town visitor. I'd definitely go back for brunch - probably not on a holiday, but it was a nice family brunch outing."

  • "My boyfriend and I are new to Pittsburgh, and This was our first time to Grand Concourse. Although it was a bit pricy, it was worth it! The only problem was, there were too many options and not enough room in my stomach to try all if it. The waffle station, made to order omelettes and the carving station were my favorites. I'm glad we made an early reservation (9:45am) for Easter because it got very busy by the time we left. Be prepared for stunning architecture, attentive wait staff and food that you can't get enough of. We will definitely be back. "

  • "This was our first visit. Once we got inside, I was relieved that we were seated in the river room. While the inside stained glass is beautiful, all the food bars for brunch were set up in there and so people were constantly walking around those seated in the main area. I also found the seating, even in the river room too tight to move comfortably. I had read several reviews about bad service, but our server was attentive. The brunch had numerous food options, and we were pleased with the taste and temperature of it all. I would recommend this for a special occasion."

  • "The Grand Concourse was a beautiful setting for dinner. We were seated at the window and had a breathtaking view of the Pittsburgh skyline as the lights came on. I am a seafood lover and liked the food. My husband and son are not seafood eaters, and were disappointed with their dinners."

  • "I brought my hudband for his birthday thinking it would be romantic but we sat by the window near a table with a hyper toddler. We sat for 10 min before given any water & i was staring right at the host station where the lady was joking with co workers. She poured our drinks with not even a Hello. So our waitress comes and seems a little ticked because all we wanted was water. Food comes and my crableg was flimsy as a noodle as if its been soaking in water all day. Now this wasnt the waitress fault but she had a major attitude once i took it off the bill????why??? I just feel we should hv been asked what are we celebrating? Have we been there before etc"

  • "Always a great experience!!!! Service is impeccable one of the citys best restaurants!!! Our waiter was atttentive that my 18 mnth old needed fed before us and he brought it out and wasnt upset that my son had food everywhere. Just a great experience!!"

  • "When this facility first opened I was a frequent visitor. I have not been here for a while because the last time I was here the experience was below average. Two nights before dining here, we dined at MORTON'S. First, the waiter got all four drinks incorrect. One of them he got incorrect two times. Everyone was less than satisfied with the quality of the drinks. The appetizers were excellent so there was hope that the evening could be salvaged. The waiter was obviously flustered and dropped the menues twice. The main meals ranged from below par to fair. I ordered lamb chops, they were rediculously small and thin! Not worth the price. Everyone disliked the rice side dish. The restaurant was entirely too NOISY! I will not return!"

  • "Me & my fiancé went for valentine's day. Food was pretty good but pricey for what you get. However, the beauty of the grand concourse & the efficiency & friendliness of the staff as well as the wine selection, made for a very romantic & wonderful valentine's day. The flower for the holiday was a nice touch as well."

  • "We recently had brunch at the Grand Concourse. Of course, the ambiance is always spectacular. However, it has been years since we last had brunch there. We recall that there were many more choices and more interesting choices in the past. The brunch was mediocre. The prime rib was full of gristle and touch. It is hard to believe it was prime rib. The seafood choices were scant with mostly salmon in one incarnation or another. The salad selection was minimal. This is a great spot to meet and greet but disappointing food wise and yet it was packed. This caused the service to be spotty. The price was high considering the food."

  • "The Grand Concourse has been our favorite for Special Occasions for years! I had my first Lobster there when I turned 21. We took our kids there for Sunday Brunch. They loved the unlimited bacon - LOL! We've celebrated special Anniversaries, had Weddings, had banquets, brought out of towers and just plain old lunch there. Like I said our favorite Pittsburgh Restaurant for years and it never gets old!"

  • "Went for lunch on Saturday. $40 with tip for me and the crab cake was the size of a tablespoon. Rice was shaped like a pyramid with broccoli. No rolls or anything. I was disappointed and I will not recommend to anyone. It was nice to see the station again but the food will not bring me back!"

  • "Food was pretty good, but I expect that at this price level. Service was not to the level it should be for this level of dining. We did not get that taken care of feeling. The woman who seated us took us to our table, walked very fast and was not very warm. When we were seated it took 15 minutes for our waiter to visit our table. Drinks went empty with no refills for periods of time. You get the idea. But the food came out of the kitchen on time and tasted very good. I would say back of house gets an A and front of house gets a D+."

  • "great setting disappointing food. soup was cold, the champagne was warm the bread and the bill took forever to get to our table..."

  • "I admit, I have expectations of upper-tier restaurants, including food of superb to exceptional quality, a diverse wine list, great ambiance, and terrific service. The Grand Concourse provided all of the above with the exception of the last. I'll make allowances for the fact that the kitchen was swamped with a large wedding, and thus the serving temperature of the food wasn't to par. But I expect quality service for $80+/setting. This did not happen. Our waiter did three things that should be unforgivable at this level of dining. He lost track of our requests multiple times (for instance, we never DID get additional bread), he was absent when we needed attention (water, etc.), and he ignored our requests, "thinking we were joking.""

  • "We celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary there yesterday and it was awesome. Printed on out menus was a congratulations to us - which was very cool. The food was terrific - my husband had the Portabella appetizer and I had the crab cake, both extremely good. We both had the Chilean Sea Bass - his was broiled and mine was grilled (mine tasted better), both were excellent. Would absolutely go there again in a heartbeat."

  • "In the pasts 18 months I went to this restaurant several times. I've had alternating good meals and service one time, then poor service and cold food the next. Unfortunately, I was on the down side this time. Calamari and brie appetizers weren't even warm when served. My salmon was tasty, but the sides of broccoli and rice were down right cold. I like lightly steamed, hot broccoli with a meal, but this was cold and raw. I would have sent it back, but the server was not around and my guest was eating her meal. I ended up taking the entree home with the sides, and heated it to enjoy it. I've provided feedback to the restaurant directly in the past, but never had a response. I think I'll just go somewhere else."

  • "Food and service were awesome. We will definitely return and will highly recommend it to friends and family. Would strongly recommend online reservations. After unsuccessfully attempting to make reservations in person for the next morning's brunch, we were able to make them online with no problem."

  • "Met 5 of my college friends for dinner. The bar at the Gandy Dancer holds many happy memories of our youth. So after several martinis (great happy hour prices), we decided to dine in the Gandy Dancer part of the restaurant. Our server was helpful in making dinner suggestions. However, the linguini and clam sauce is still my favorite. The salad and warm rolls that accompanied the meal were delicious. We shared the chocolate lava cake. Absolutely Delicious!! I will be making a return trip for the Sunday brunch next month. The ambience of that grand building really takes a step back into history."

  • "we have gone here to eat a few times, but this was the worst of all. there was nobody in the resteraunt and it took our waiter forever to get drinks, refill bread etc. the food was terriable ordered a steak med-rare, and it comes out well done with hard as a rock asparagus. it was just terriable, and for $100.00 for my wife and i, i would much rather have went to a texas roadhouse, spent half the money, and actually recieved a good meal. no plans to go back again. save your money go somewhere else."
