The Brunch buffet here is very affordable. However, it does end at 1:30 so make sure you get there early so you don't feel like you're shoveling in food. If you check in on Yelp, they will give you free bottomless mimosas for the table :)

One of my favorite places to have lunch prior to going on to a matinee performance at the Ahmanson. Was very disappointed to find out that they have discontinued their weekday lunch buffet. However, that said…their regular lunch items are still very good.

I was anticipating the new look at the Grand Cafe, the staff had told me to come by on Wednesday, the reveal would be ready! So, I was able to visit on Thursday. Wow! A fresh look, inviting and a fresh attitude of the staff. It works, great food, staff and now a fine fresh atmosphere! Thank you Omni!

I took my husband here for Father's Day Brunch. We were pleasantly surprised that it was not crowded at all and we had reservations. The breakfast selection was very good ranging from fruits, meats/cheeses, to egg fritata, bacon, different types of sausages, to waffles and pancakes. Outside on the patio was the BBQ station with all types of yummy meats. I would have liked to have some veggies and dips from the beautiful spread they had sitting outside, but they took it away since it was sitting in the sun. They also had a make-your-own ice cream sundae bar, and other assorted desserts. Unlimited mimosas were included in the affordable price. It was a nice ambience with great service, and not too loud or crowded. Hubby loved it!

Our family went here for Father's Day brunch, and everything was wonderful. The food was good and the decor of the restaurant was beautiful. My only complaint was that they wouldn't let you order off the regular menu during brunch, so you basically had to order off the buffet that they had. But all the food was delicious, and there was a very wide variety to choose from. Overall I would highly recommend it!

Grand Cafe, at the Omni Downtown LA, is in a great location (as is the hotel) for having breakfast or lunch before a matinee at any one of the 4 Music Center theaters. The meals and service have always been good, in our experience, and then it's just a quick walk to the Mark Taper, Dorothy Chandler, Ahmanson or Walt Disney Concert Hall. Our only desires would be to have the music be a little softer, both in volume and style, and that the weekend buffet brunch was served later than 1pm!

The food was great, I took my family here for the mothers day brunch with bottomless mimosas. However, by the time we had our reservation, they were out of the crab legs and lobster tails. So although it could of been worth the money, the lack of service AND FOOD was not what we anticipated. My advice, book an early reservation.

The Easter Brunch at Grand Cafe was ok. Choice of food is great. The cafe is tiny. The patio overlooking the courtyard is overrated. There's really nothing there except a huge metal sculpture and a fountain and the MOCA store. I think the experience was overpriced. I would have paid more at another venue with a more formal service and better ambience.

I spoke with Sal over the phone who was very nice and accommodating when I told him we were going for a friend's birthday. The waitstaff there were also very sweet and patient (we could not decide for the life of us where we wanted to sit). We all ordered the bottomless mimosas and the waiter even let us have straight champagne (no OJ). The food was delicious, everyone raved about the fruit selection...my personal favorite were the chicken sausages and fresh omelette bar. This restaurant exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone!! Most importantly, the birthday girl had a fabulous time!

The service was weak. I had to ask for water. I had to ask for my coffee to be refilled. I had to ask for condiments. The food was cold. I think it is safe to say we should have just gone to the breakfast buffet. With a dining room that was barely 25% occupied, we were seated at a table very close to another occupied table. That party seemed to be listening more to our conversation than their own.

I picked this place because of the good reviews. The food was good; we ordered off the menu rather than eat the buffet. Because we did, the service was not very organized. We received our toast long after the meal. The Ambience is upscale and very pleasant. The parking was only valet, so there was a bit of a wait parking and getting your car back. All in all, I would go back.

When you come in the restaurant there's a nice little seating area while waiting for your table to be set. When we were seated at first our server was fast enough to ask what would we like for drinks. After all my group was seated it took a little bit of a wait for the rest of my group to be offered drinks. Food is perfect for brunch they almost have everything like smoked salmon, charcuterie, cheeses, pastry to rib eye. Also! The eggs they use for the omelette station are cage free eggs which was pretty nice. But the again our server was pretty slow with the drinks. I finished up to dessert before he filled up my drink again. But I will go back for Sunday brunch for the mimosas!

I invited a few of my close girl friends out for brunch at the Grand Cafe for my 25th birthday and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! The food was EXCELLENT, the ambiance was great the service/wait staff anticipated our needs which was EVEN BETTER! They kept the endless mimosas coming and really allowed us to have a great time. I made the reservation for the outdoor patio and even though initially it was a little windy (the reservation was at 11:15am) the sun came out and the drinks came with it so we had no worries! We were seated near an outdoor water fountain and within arms reach of the beautiful MOCA which was an extra added touch of class and elegance we all enjoyed. More than half of my party said they'd be coming back! I know I surely will!

Grand Cafe proved to be very Grand! The food was delicious and fresh with a highlight on the large portions. Tucked in quietly in the Omni Hotel behind the Museum of Modern Art, this restaurant offers some beautiful scenic views of a fountain and a giant modern art structure. Perfectly positioned to go to the museum or attend a show at the Music Center which we did. The hamburger was fresh and flavorful and the Turkey club was excellent. The service was fair and accommodating but a bit slow. Overall, an excellent restaurant for lunch and we look forward to visiting again!

We went for breakfast buffet. The selection was your usual suspects, but all the ingredients were top notch, down to the smallest details. There wasn't a single thing that was mediocre, each things we tried we exclaimed "oh yeah, this is good". Even my sunny side up eggs were perfect: fluffy egg whites, and rich orange thick runny egg yolks. The lady running the egg/omelet and waffle station was amazing. She was super attentive, offered some special strawberry sauce she made and even brought out cream and fresh strawberries to our table. All in all we were super happy with the excellent quality of food and service. It's not a place for huge selections nor inventive dishes, but it is your hearty usual breakfast done to the the best.
