I can't believe he loved the ramp and custard amuse bouche in addition to, of course, everything else, from the butter to the lamb to the outrageous chocolate bread pudding. My favorite part was when he dropped his fork, which I picked up immediately, and as I was wiping it on my napkin for him to reuse (I know, bad parent) a clean one was brought to him. "How did you know?" I asked the server who wasn't even present when it happened. "I heard it."
