As an extra bonus was the recomended wines went very well together with the food. We do understand all the positive reviews after enjoying the lunch. Staff was very attentive, professional and service minded with an elegant touch. I thought the decor was very beige, but my colleague thought it was beautiful. Doesn't matter anyway, I was plenty happy gazing lovingly at my food. My godson and his wife (who had flown all the way from the Philippines to NY for their anniversary dinner last year) highly recommended it!

We chose the tasting menu and paired it with a wonderful, and reasonable, wine suggested by our waiter. It was probably one of the more expensive meals that we have had as a family, but worth every penny for the experience. Every course was outstanding and the service was superb. The server was relaxed and friendly without being overly familiar. The evening could not have been more enjoyable. This is the third time I've enjoyed the tasting menu at Gramercy Tavern. And perfect sized portions.

Gramercy tavern is on that very short list, and is so deserving of its longstanding reputation. The service was warm, welcoming and highly efficient. For appetiser I thoroughly enjoyed the Spring salad with quinoa and my husband raved about his smoked trout dish declaring it to be truly stunning. We both loved the lamb and its' delicious vegetable accompaniments for mains followed by a superb apple tarte tartin for dessert. This restaurant is delightful in every way. The decor, with its' abundance of fresh flower displays, is a joy to behold and the extreme warm, welcoming and highly efficient staff made this evening very special.
