Graham ElliotAn experienceDIning at Graham Elliot was an experience, from the first lollipop to the last. Imaginative, creative dishes that challenge the senses, exceptional service, and an organic, earthy decor made this an amazing place to take my husband for Father's Day.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWill go back!Great execution on a delicious meal - the best I have had in Chicago.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great experience! HadWhat a great experience! Had the special chef's tasting with paired wines. Everything melded beautifully. Friendly knowledgable wait staff. Chef came to all the tables to chat with the diners. He invited us into the kitchen when the meal was done. It's amazing to go behind the scenes in these high-end restaurants and observe them making food magic. It's not cheap, but definitely worth it5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredibly, Delightful!Talk about an amazing experience - what a way to celebrate our 8 year anniversary!
Thank you, Graham!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome, amazing, a very memorableAwesome, amazing, a very memorable dinning experience5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good experience. FoodVery good experience. Food was thought-provoking. The lamb was cooked perfectly. The halibut was outstanding as was the rabbit dish. The wine pairing was excellent and I would definitely recommend it. Ambience was casual-chic, which set for a very nice and relaxed atmosphere. We chose the chefs menu (with wine pairing) and we are very glad we did this instead of going with the tasting menu. The food and wine quality were well worth it. Portions were definitely adequate and we left the restaurant full and satisfied. Definitely a place worth coming to in Chicago as the food and wine experience was exceptional!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than everThe cuisine here at Graham Elliot is both innovative and delicious. I think the food is at an even higher level than when I dined here last year and Andrew Brochu was the executive chef. I was shocked at how empty the restaurant was on a Friday night though. I had the chef's tasting menu and left comfortably full. There is no bread served along with the meal, which is rare, but I think it's a good thing in this instance or I might have been tempted to fill up on it. Stand out courses include the spot prawn with avocado, butternut squash bisque with kaffir lime, coconut, coriander, yuzu and chile, foie gras fig newton and the strawberry dessert with pistachio cake, chevre covered strawberry and peppercorn mousse.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMit is Just Great!Percect food and wine pairings, state of the art cuisine.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfully thoughtful cuisine,Wonderfully thoughtful cuisine, extremely attentive and knowledgeable servers, exquisitely crafted cocktails- a full experience far beyond a simple tasting menu.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen here twice - very happyBeen here twice - very happy about the new menu as they kept the same style/ format but changed the ingredients. Wine pairing was awesome and the service was excellent. Great place for a special occasion for foodies.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food and serviceFantastic food and service with super focis on the flavours, superb wines!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Fine DinningRefer to web page for all info, if your a foodie, this is a must. My wife and I loved it.
Great service,we did the chef's menue all paired and it was to die for. Wasnt sure I could do 15 course meal with wine, but it was perfect.
Timing was perfect as well and everyone was so knowledgable.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh price point, but worth it!The BEST food I've had so far in the city (and I go to quite a bit of restaurants). Each bite contains different flavors making the food complex and delicious. Its pricey, but you get high quality food and top notch service. I plan on going back to try the Chef's menu.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMTake along your special someoneI made reservations here to celebrate my husbands birthday, after reviewing the 2013 Michelin Guide. I was really excited to see what made this a two star rating. We went with the Chef's menu and our own selection of wine. Our favorites on the menu were the risotto and in particular the butternut squash soup. The egg dish was a pass for my husband and I. The service was excellent; the ambiance was more bright than I am accustomed to, but overall the experience was great. I would highly recommend this fine dining experience for special occasions. Upon leaving we were given a biscotti as a treat, best biscotti I've ever had. Valet service employees are jerks, reason for the 4 star rating vs 5.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Meal at Graham ElliotMy husband and I had one of the best meals and an amazing dining experience at Graham Elliot. Since I am pregnant they went above and beyond to accommodate special drink pairings for each course and special preparations for certain courses. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I cannot than them enough for the wonderful experience they gave us. We mentioned it was our 5 year anniversary so they created a special treat for us at the end of the meal and gave us personalized menus with Graham Elliot's autograph.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest everThis restaurant offered only two menu choices. A ten course tasting menu or a fifteen course tasting menu. Then the only other decision was whether or not to take the "chef's choice" wine parings. I suggest having the wine pairings. I am not going to try and describe the wonderful presentations or the superior service, but suffice it to say that although the meal was the most expensive meal I have ever bought it was also the best meal I have ever bought.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGE great expectations great eveningWe had high expectations since my husband is a fan of Masterchef and were curious to know if the food was on the level GE requires from the participants. And obviously the answer is YES. Great food (each service was a tableau), outstanding (friendly) service with a surprise at the end: the visit of the kitchen and a signed menu when you leave.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!Hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to. The service probably ruined every other place I will ever go to. The food for the most part was absolutely delicious. There were only two dishes that I didn't really care for but they were so well done that I was still very impressed.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great dining experienceHad a great dining experience here. Very diverse menu with some unique food combo's. Would lopve to come back again.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food+ ambiance yet pricyOverall it was very good. You can see, taste and feel all of Graham's creativity in the courses he serves. I order the full tasting menu with wine pairing. All the wines he serves in the wine pairing are from Spain, overall they are really well select, yet it seems that there is room for improvement, specially in one of the combination.
The foie gras, the lamb and the chocolate really stood out for me, very original and very mind/tasting blowing!! WOW
Although I don't mind paying a high price for a outstanding food+serviceIf, the price over it, besides that, I would rate it as excellent.
And they have a nice coffee (french press and espresso).3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a treat to experienceWhat a treat to experience the artistic genius of Graham Elliot3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was exceptionalThe service was exceptional and the food was incredible. The atmosphere was great with current music, but not too loud. We loved every minute. It is worth the price for a long evening of dining.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI watch Graham Elliot on MasterI watch Graham Elliot on Master Chef and decided I had to eat here just because of what he put together on the show. The food was absolutely fantastic. The wine pairings were delicious even though I am not a huge wine fan. Graham Elliot's went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every last moment of our dinner. My only negative about the restaurant is that we only were given two pieces of the venison. I could have eaten many many more as this was absolutely delicious.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh points were the scallop,High points were the scallop, the risotto and the venison on the Chef's Tasting Menu. The celery soda and lamb were not as successful. The foie gras was a very flavorful but a little dry. The truffle soup was wonderfully intense. The butternut soup was outstanding, and the cheese with persimmon was very good.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMChef's tasting menu is theChef's tasting menu is the way to go! Portions are quite small, but after 3 hours of bites, we were definetely full. Seemed like salt was prevalent in all the dishes, even dessert. Standouts included the pasta sheets made of flattened lobster, the duck, short ribs, shrimp, and a phenomenal butternut squash consomme (how do you make broth from a creamy vegetable?!?). Complimentary sparkling wine and sherry for our anniversary and a visit from GEB himself were the cherry on top!1/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFully earned 2 Michelin StarsGraham Elliot was recently awarded and second Michelin star and it was well deserved. The food is as creative and delicious as ever - who puts cauliflower 6 different ways on a place and creates a masterpiece of color, texture and flavor? The wait staff is, if anything, more knowledgeable than ever and still friendly without intruding on your meal. The tasting menus are most certainly the way to go and, if you are a wine drinker, the wine pairings are generally spot on. Even the music, which was once too loud and cutting edge, has been toned back a bit. No elevator music, to be sure, but far more harmonious with the ambience and food. If you are a foodie, Graham Elliott is a must. This is a destination restaurant for a full evening.11/23/2012 12:00:00 AM
