  • "I don't live too far from here and have always wanted to try. Whoops Service - at best, it was okay. From the hostesses just staring at us when we arrived, they said our table was ready but then kept chatting. I had to ask if we could sit, after which, we were sat after being passed off to several people. Food - We left most of the food on the table, despite ordering 4 apps and 4 entrees -- and drinks. The food was mostly tasteless, and was as if no seasoning had been used. Ambiance - Loud. Must scream to communicate."

  • "Had high expectations, but the experience was so poor. Several items were sent back to the kitchen, including the octopus app which was inedible and the pasta we ordered which came out cold, and was sent back to the kitchen, and still came out too cold the 2nd time. the service was weak, and the restaurant was not even half full."

  • "This place tastes pretty authentic! Didnt hurt that they had seated the super cute "Mama" at the front, where she made the pasta. We started with the roasted tomatoes with goat cheese and ravioli to start, had the lamb pasta and breaded veal as main courses and the tiramisu + flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I could taste the "home-made" in everything. yum. Lets just say I didn't fit in my dress when I left. Service itself was just okay. My boyfriend and I are a young couple and the waitress seemed a bit dismissive. Despite the restaurant being quite empty upon arrival, my boyfriend and I were seated right against the front door, where there was a constant draft as people went in and out. But maybe I'm just being sensitive."

  • "The pecorino crème brule and lasagna bolognese were tasty. The grilled green tomatoes and butternut squash/mushroom lasagna were fine. It was the service that was terrible. The waiter didn't come over to ask how our appetizers or entrees were. I had to find another server to ask for a glass of wine with our entrée and didn't receive it until we were practically done with our meal. We ordered the choc molten dessert which was okay and our waiter came over when we were half way done and tried to take it away after not seeing him all night-didn't make any sense. It was also very noisy. Probably wouldn't go back."

  • "We walked into a warm and inviting room, low light, but not too low to read the menu. The waiter was friendly and patient as it took the six of us awhile to plan our ordering. The wine list was an amazing combination of high end wines and excellent choices for $40. Outstanding dishes included butternut squash soup, pasta with boar, arugula salad, short ribs, and flourless chocolate cake. We'd definitely return."

  • "we were a little disappointed by the six-course tasting menu, which was a reiteration of the day's specials and kind of boring compared to the à la carte items. Also, the waiter was less than helpful when we asked about wine pairings. We were told a bottle of red wine would be great with our meal whereas white wine would have been the obvious choice since all courses were seafood based."

  • "We went to Gradisca for Valentines Day dinner--pre fixe, many choices. complimentary glass of good Prosecco. Service was bright and cheerful, the mood was good (mostly couples, people were dressed for the occasion [especially the women of course, but the men too were tidy and trim), the feeling was festive; and the food was very good. Beef marrow appetizer: excellent; and the wagu beef was tasty and tender and well cooked. We had a very good time, and recommend the place, even if it's not a "holiday"..."

  • "The pasta was fair and we ordered the barolo 2004 by glass which was very smooth with fruit on the nose. The beef was outrageously fat. I had difficult to put it into the mouth. What makes it worse was during the night, I had very serious stomach issue - the same as what you would have when you had bad food. No I wouldn't come back to this restaurant again."

  • "The lighting was very dim. Many people including myself needed flashlights to read the menu. When I first walked in the music was very loud. as the night progressed I believe it was lowered but then the noise had increased significantly. The food was very good and our server was very helpful. I'd love to go there again as it is in my neighborhood but dim lights and high noise level discourages me."

  • "I heard about Gradisca from my parents who saw it on a TV show. I made reservations for a holiday dinner with friends. The environment is very loud & dark. It was really hard to hear the person across from you. The air conditioner was leaking over one table next to us and the smell was a bit musty. I had the homemade gnocchi which was very good and the grilled octopus. The stuffed piadina's were also good. It was overall a good experience, but not sure it would be a return trip for me."

  • "We had passed Gradisca for years saying we would make reservation, but didn't, what a mistake. Maggie was great, well informed, yet never crowding us. The grilled octopus is the BEST we ever had anywhere, and quinoa salad absolutely divine. We both had the Zuppa di Pesce, fresh, light and delicate. Desert was a warm flourless dark chocolate cake, hubby would only give me one tiny taste, I had the anjou poached pear, also very good. A wonderful meal, we will be back. We arrived when they opened so we had some time to ourselves, when we left the place was packed, the staff knew all of the guest, as they appeared to be locals and return customers. The staff seemed very friendly and happy to be working with each other, even on Christmas Eve."

  • "The food was just okay. There is much better pasta at other places in the city. My squid ink pasta had no flavor, when it was described as 'very spicy'. The burrata with eggplant was actually deep fried eggplant with a smidge of cheese inside. It was disappointing, especially given the price."
