  • "I was very impresses .........I have several food allergies and after we ordered the Manager, came over with a list of the ingredients to make sure I was okay with my selections. The Mole Mushrooms were amazing!"

  • "As vegetarians who love Mexican food, we booked for a Sunday night as a special treat to ourselves, driving cross town. The service was adequate -- immediate seating, long wait to get drinks and order, fast delivery of the food once ordered. The food was very tasty and well presented: gorditos as a starter, and flautas and El Plato as entrees. The housemade tortillas, salsas (including the jars on the table), pico de gallo, black beans were each notably well-made and richly-but-subtly-flavored. Housemade ginger ale was amazing! Unfortunately, being seated squeezed between the wall and a nonstop-talkative couple made the experience at best mixed. Also, the crowd/ambience was pretty monochromatically white/Anglo ... unsurprising but sad."

  • "The drink list was extensive as was the menu in general. We had drinks (generous pours, too), appetizers, and entrees for 2 and the bill was around $80 before tip. The food was delicious and plentiful; there were leftovers for a filling lunch the next day. We made reservations in advance to score a spot on the patio. It was beautiful and well worth the planning."

  • "I've been wanting to try Gracias Madre for some time, being a fan of Cafe Gratitude in Nor Cal. My hopes were high and they were absolutely exceeded. I had a tamarind margarita ("Don Francisco") and rellenitos and my date had sangria and the flautas. The food was fresh and inventive and just awesome. I was in love with my margarita. We were so stoked we went back for brunch the next day and had the chilequiles and French toast with an horchata latte. These dishes were delicious and not overly heavy or sweet. Just right. The latte was divine. I will dream about these meals for nights to come. Both servers were personable & informative. Beautiful ambiance: casual, elegant, welcoming."

  • "The food and ambiance are fantastic! We sat in the patio which was beautiful.....didn't feel like we were in the middle of the city. The inside of the restaurant is all white painted brick with black accents....very hip yet soothing. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back soon!"

  • "I love this place, and I am not even a vegan. The food is delicious and fresh and creative, the wait staff knowledgeable, and the cocktails are out of this world! Wish I could remember the name of the one I had with with the lovely green star fruit in the center. It was tequila with agave, St. Germain and something peppery. The cauliflower tacos were yummy, as was the salad, the guacamole and the tortas. I hope to be back very very soon. Oh, and the peach cobbler with the coconut vegan ice-cream was to die for!"

  • "The butternut squash quesadilla and the summer corn quesadilla were INCREDIBLE, we had them for an appetizer. We also had the tacos, the flautas and the enchiladas, the enchiladas were the best entree at the table. Then for dessert we all shared the peach cobbler and the brownie... the brownie was warm and delicious but the cobbler had fresh peaches and coconut ice cream... really can't go wrong with either one, but the cobbler i a much better size for sharing. Absolutely delicious and even though we were all full, we all felt great after because everything is made with such great ingredients :)"

  • "Love Gracias Madre. As the only vegan of the group, I was nervous the others wouldn't enjoy the food. That wasn't the case. We were all impressed with the flavor of the food and how full we were by plant based dishes. We had the corn, guacamole, quesadillas, enchiladas and tacos. All were delicious. I love the outdoor patio. Great for catching up and drinking margaritas."

I think it's ridiculous that the bar won't make a margarita minus the tequila. why wouldn't you want to just accommodate your customer?"

  • "First of all, I want to say that the restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious. My only complaint ... Our waiter was horrible. He was not attentive, he had an attitude and MOST IMPORTANTLY... He forgot the birthday candle for my husband! I specifically asked him to make sure that there was a candle in the dessert. I am not a fussy person and neither is my husband. This was the first time at the restaurant and I was truly disappointed with our service. We are huge fans of Gratitude. We spoke to Antoinette (the manager) she is lovely and she said she will take care of us next time we come in."

As a vegan, its difficult to find mexican food at all, much less as fresh and vibrant as the dishes here. the 'El Plato' is my recommendation, and I swear I need that nacho cheese recipe because I want to take a bath in it. The sangria is fresh and delicious, and tastes like its made of real fruit, not some 'from concentrate' crap. The service was incredible (our waiter was attentive and friendly, and allowed us to split checks even though they don't allow it). Go here. You won't regret it."

  • "Our reservation was at 8:30 and we were not seated until 9:30. Then, once seated, we waited for 20 min for a server to arrive but none did. I had to go back to the host stand and request to be seated in a different section with a different server. The restaurant never acknowledged the issue and didn't offer us any drinks or apps while we waited."

  • "The restaurant is definitely a find. The ambiance was fantastic, especially if you can eat in the outside area. The trees, lights, music,etc. make it very inviting and romantic. The food was outstanding. We ordered the gorditas, the spinach salad, and two entrees: the Flautas and El Plato. We would have ordered dessert, but we were simply too full. The service was very good as well. My husband and I loved every aspect of it and plan to return soon."

The corn quesadilla was perfect. The guacamole and salsa all lovely. Their spicy margaritas are not spicy in the slightest, but still delicious."

  • "Healthy. Mexican. What more could you want?! Can get a little manic around 8pm at the bar with tables loitering and new guests arriving. People dining at the bar make it tricky to order a drink because others are eating and you have it kind of lean over them. Great for everything else!"
