A word from Grace's
When owner Johnny Carrabba set out on his next restaurant venture, he knew his vision would include the fond memories he had of his dear grandmother Grace Mandola. Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith.

She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food. These memories are realized when one walks into Johnny Carrabba’s new restaurant, Grace's.

Two separate meals the food was overly salty. They added way too much salt in and on food. Ask for no salt meal and send back if it arrives with toom much salt. Mine was crunchy with salt.

My husband and I went here for the first time on date night, and we will be going back again and again. Absolutely everything we ate was delicious! We got the stuffed chicken and stuffed poblano for our entree, and we were in comfort food heaven! I wouldn't even look at the dessert menu when you go because the carrot cake is out of this world!! It's a must try. The service was exceptional as well. The server gave us great recommendations and was very attentive. Overall, an amazing experience. We can't wait to go back!

The menu was an interesting mix of American favorites and more eccentric finds. Lee, our waiter was fun to interact with. The patrons are from different walks of life. Most of the tables near us were older folks but we also had cute couples there. Sitting in the back will give you a more quiet environment than in the front rooms. I would like to try the outside patio to see if it's noisy or pleasant.

Perfect celebration spot for a friend's birthday. Great dining experience from the start, delicious baked potato dip, to the finish, Godiva Freeze! And everything in-between, including the delicious short ribs---I almost licked my plate! We loved the setting, like being in your upscale grandma's house! All the special touches were noticed throughout the restaurant. Our waitress brought us three wines to taste before we made our selection. Everything was spot on! We had three desserts at our table, and all were delicious---carrot cake, chocolate cake and Godiva Freeze! Must say once more, Godiva Freeze was our favorite---we had to send back for one more! Delicious ending to a perfect night out with friends! Plus, free parking!

What a perfect restaurant setting. Whoever designed and decorated this place is brilliant. Beautiful. Comfortable. Well appointed...yet not pretentious. Russell our waiter was excellent. The food was good, the desserts exceptional. Best and lightest carrot cake ever, with warm cream cheese icing poured over a huge piece at the table. Loved this place as you can tell.

Very nice, welcoming, sedate place. Feels like you're dining at a rich friend's house rather than a restaurant, which is definitely the way to go. Good, comforting menu, albeit hardly on the cutting edge. Little surprised the crowd was so light on a Saturday night and that the crowd was so old. More replaced-hipsters than dbag hipsters, which I prefer. You can actually hear what the people at your table are saying, which is nice. We really enjoyed our ribeye and chicken pot pie. We'll be back soon for sure.

No, not my braised short ribs which were excellent. Our whole evening was well done. The wife had a battered pork chop that took up the whole plate and came with a delicious white gravy with a touch of peppers. We sat in the main dining room next to the bar window, so it was a little noisy. So what? I can get noisy, too. Anyway, next time we'll ask for a seat in the living room, a smaller room, more intimate. The service was very friendly and attentive. The GM and Maitre De also stopped by to check on us. Save room for the decadent desserts. Overall, well done, folks!

Well, we really like Grace's, but hard to say why considering this particular visit. As always, the service and welcome were great. The food, however, was strictly ordinary. When we pointed it out (when asked "how was everything?"), both waiter Tanner and mangager Jason were apologetic and gracious, but that only made us like them, the food was still quite ordinary, trending toward not good. The fish was so spicy and hot that it was almost inedible. Jason admitted that he had tasted it and also found it too hot for his taste. Three of our table of four had the famous carrot cake and were disappointed in that as well. We will go back because we like the restaurant, but to be honest, this time out was just not good.

First time at Grace's. I was a bit apprehensive on the wide spectrum on the reviews. Contrary to some reviews, services was excellent! Only thing our server did not introduce himself-- most unfortunate as we would like to ask for him again! Server was corteous, helpful and very welcoming. The food was amazing-- is like eating at Nana's but gourmet style--- very home--ie enviroment. I can only imagine the patio would be nice on cool fall day! The specials were creative and delicious. The Godiva freeze is a must have! I was very tempted to have another. Will definitely come back.

We've now been to Grace's probably 8 or 9 times and it has been outstanding. We're working our way through the menu and bringing our foodie friends. The filet is wonderful, the chicken tortilla soup is the best I've ever had, the Godiva Freeze for dessert is Jerri's favorite although the carrot cake is hard to beat. They had a fried soft shell crab appetizer the first time we went that was the best I've ever tasted. That season is over unfortunately. The service has been 5 star everytime. Just enough attention without interrupting your conversation. Consistently great is the way to best describe Grace's. I find Vic and Anthony's and Houston's restaurants to be consistent as well along with great menu's. Grace's is up there with them.

The food is quite good. The menu has a good variety, with interesting variations on dishes that make it interesting. The service is quite good. What is not to like? The noise. While a venue like this appears perfect for groups, conversing loudly while dining family style in a stylish but relaxed atmosphere, the acoustics fail to meet the challenge. If one can manage to ignore hearing the intimate details of a vapid twenty-something's quest for the perfect shoes and their role in her dating life being related to all two tables away, the rest of the experience is well worth a visit. The staff also notes that there are more quiet areas, so you may want to try those - when we come back, and we will, we shall avail ourselves of them.

I found Grace's on Opentable because I was looking for a restaurant that would seat a large party on short notice and I am so glad I chose this place. I learned after I booked it, that it was not the restaurant I thought it was because I initially thought I had been there before. The service was wonderful, the food was impeccable and I certainly enjoyed my birthday. Our server was the absolute best and I am very thankful for all his great suggestions, he really did well in gauging our pallets and fulfilling our needs. The portions look small but are perfect. The menu looks short but everything on it is great. However, be sure to make sure that if you don't eat pork that you ask how they meal is prepared.

Crabcakes are fabulous with pure, jumbo lump crabmeat, no fillers - yum! Gumbo, brussel sprouts, and fish specials are delicious. The lobster pasta dish is full of flavor - I AM A FAN!! We went for HRW to give this place a try since we'd never been before..We were not disappointed. We had reservations for 6:45 and arrived promptly. The hostess said our table would be ready shortly. No big deal...we were willing to wait a bit. Jason ( I believe he is the GM) came over to us in the waiting area and offered a complimentary cocktail for having to wait!! We were totally taken by surprise as we didn't feel a few minutes was anytime to have to wait. The HRW menu didn't have any gluten free items (which I have to abide by) so the waiter substituted a GF entree for me at no extra charge. I have to say my husband and I don't usually like "chain" restaurants (this one is Carabbas) but we will certainly return!Great service, great food

Grace's was fantastic. The service was outstanding. Our waiter did a phenominal job. And the food. Delicious. And very unique. I had the Shirmp Burger, which at first sounded strange, but after a description from the waiter, I decided to go for it. It was completely scrumptious. The flavor of the bun, shrimp, pickles, and dressig was so interesting. My fiance had the fried quail, which he enjoyed. We truly enjoyed out experience and will keep Grace's in mind for any future date nights.

Grace's is a great place for business lunch that I frequent and had planned to do more so now that Haven is closed. This time was bad in that I checked in for my reservation and told the person at the desk the name of my guest I was expecting. When she arrived, she was told I was not there and seated in another part of the restaurant. When I checked with my waiter, I was told she had not arrived. We wasted 20 minutes until both of us started walking the restaurant looking for one another.
