Gotham Bar and GrillMust-Go!Gotham in a word is consistent. We get to NYC frequently, and this restaurant is always on our must-go list. The experience from beginning to end is a dining pleasure. I can't seem to stay away from the seafood salad, and the miso black cod is a flavorful delight. The sommeliers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The wait staff is top notch. Nothing is missing from this eatery. The more I go, the more the staff remembers me, my name, my favorite table, etc. And they let me know them, too: Joseph, Dan, Hamed, John...etc. I feel like I am going to my own little corner of culinary heaven when I go to the Gotham; and I try to go every week. But it is not just me...EVERYONE is treated with respect and just the right amount of friendliness. The staff takes their cues from the guest. I was pleasantly surprised when it took me a few minutes to make my reservation via Open Table for the very night and time that I wanted. I had lunch yesterday with my friend that she is big fun this place too and came from Japan. food was very good as usual, but little different than before that I think. we had prix fixe salad dressing should less.carrots soup is very good, also cod is very good especially temperture was perfect.everything is good but I just felt not same as before. before was perfect everything. one more thing about hostess. when we there hostess show us table near the front door which is coner and I wasnt happy and requested other table which is hostess take us to other table. It was very different and very tasty. The black cod that I had was one of the best that I have ever had. My husband said that his steak was good but nothing special. Dessert was also very tasty. Wines were great. The sommelier was very helpful at first, but disappeared mid-meal when we were ready for our next selection; not sure what happened. Our waiter stepped into the breach so we did not miss much time.
