With its rich deep wood tables and booths one genuinely felt they were visiting an authentic Irish pub. The excellent service and wait staff, plus, perfectly portioned meals were grand. One felt transported to Ireland for a few hours!

Sorry, I don't speak english fluently. So I answer in french.

Gossip is a classic Irish pub in NY. We ate in the back room which was a little oasis. Very private. Nice wood paneling, fireplace. Food and service were excellent. Salmon was fabulous. Great burger. Will return here the next time we are seeing a Broadway show nearby.

We live in the neighborhood and thought we'd check out Gossip. All of our food was excellent. From apps and drinks, to our main courses, everything was delicious and well prepared. Our service however was not good. Our waitress was friendly but everything -- menus, drinks, apps, main course -- took forever.

Burgers were a good choice, tasty curly fries. Large selection of on tap beer. Kids Mac & Cheese was liked by all. Chicken Pannini was good choice too. Pub atmosphere, on-line pict of restaurant make it look bigger than it is. NYC pub restaurant small/mid-size. Good choice for what we needed. Tasty burgers and kid friendly food for lunch before show. Friendly sevice.

We were meeting friends before the theater for brunch and I don't know many places on the west side for brunch. After much searching I found Gossip and it was perfect. The menu included sandwiches and other entrees as well as perfect brunch food. It definitely hit the spot. I would call it cheap and cheerful. Good Bloody Marys and Guiness. We'll definitely go back.

We opted for the prix-fixe menu for Christmas dinner and the overall feeling was pretty good: food was delicious, although the 4-shrimp cocktail seemed a bit poor in quantity... As second dish some of us chose the turkey with all the trimmings, which was a success. The filet mignon was really tasty but entailed a plus of $4 to the $35 menu, the salmon was also pretty good. Despite the food, we left the place feeling a bit dissatisfied with the experience due to the poor service we received. The waitress didn't smile not even once and it was us who had to keep asking her to refill our glasses with water. In addition, at the end she just added an automatic gratuity of 21%, which wouldn't have been our choice (obviously).

Went to Gossip resturant with a group of friends for the Christmas special-menu and it was beyond any expectations we ever had. The food was delicious, the service was really fast and the staff very friendly. The entire room was very tastefully decorated with christmas decorations creating a very cosy and festive holiday spirit. Not sure how this little gem comes across at other times of the year, but I doubt anyone would be disapointed. And as for their Christmas/Thanksgiving special I can truely recomend it!

We came here for Christmas dinner at a fixed menu price of $34.95.( For a family trip away from home to NYC from the west coast as we lost our mother last Christmas and looking for a traditional turkey dinner.)While Gossip did provide the traditional dinner, the food was okay but it wasn't hot, we asked for buns twice and never got them, dinner came before clearing away our soup/salad dishes which sat there for a long time, had to ask for butter & cutlery . When dessert was served we had to wait til that was almost done before they bought any coffee, tea. Also, no christmas music but rock music playing all night. To add insult to injury a tip of 18% was automatically added to our bill for very substandard service.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on Christmas day. They had a very reasonable prix fixe dinner. He had the filet mignon and I had the turkey dinner. Both entrees were wonderful. We had tickets for a show at 7:00pm and the restaurant was very close to the theater district which was nice. It was not very busy at all, which was kind of nice and made for a romantic and quiet dinner. It was 4:30pm though, I imagine it picked up a bit later in the evening. The staff was friendly. We would return.

The food here was subpar. The service on the other hand was outright terrible, it took over 35 minutes to receive our food after we ordered. My Salmon BLT was so small I think half of it got left in the kitchen. My wife's shrimp salad was so salty it was almost inedible. After we finished it took another 20 minutes until we could flag down our waitress to get the check. Needless to say we will not be going back.

The French Onion Soup is one of the single best I've ever had! Salty without being overly so, substantial beefy broth flavoring, MOUNDS of cheese, amazing bread, perfectly cooked onions.....LUSCIOUS!!!! The filet entree was awesome....though they don't have a handle yet on consistent plating. The couple next to us both ordered this dish and had MOUNDS of potatoes. So did my friend when she ordered a visit or two before. My dish was kind of skimpy on the potatoes. Still, nice! The carrots were a bit too al dente. The potatoes were a bit under salted. But the filet was cooked to the perfect temperature, and the garnishes complimented it well. More than enough for two meals, even with the skimp.

I went to Gossip for brunch and was completely underwhelmed by the service. The waiter had the worst attitude and didn't seem like he cared at all about being there. We sat for 20 minutes before he came over and took our order. The food literally took an hour to come out of the kitchen and the restaurant was empty. With that, we had a question about something on the menu and openly just said he had no idea what it was. The food was okay and the restaurant was clean.

I guess with a name like Gossip there would be more girly frilly things happening in the restaurant, so I definitely did not expect to step into an Irish pub for brunch. (It could be completely my fault for not doing enough research either). When I first arrived the restaurant was pretty empty and I waited at least five minutes before anyone offered to seat me. I was placed right next to the open window which I loved because it was a beautiful day! It was brunch so I decided to try one of their screwdrivers. It was strong and definitely made me remember I was in a pub. I decided to go all the way since I was there. I order a burger and asked for it medium but it came out well. The fries were good and the server attentive. I may return.

We wanted a place to grab a light bite before a show and we got exactly that. The food is not fancy but it is tasty and nicely presented. The service was attentive. Our waiter was an aspiring actor. It was early so the noise level was low and we were able to talk. This is a sports bar with class (there are the requisite video screens tuned to sport stations). The back room is a lovely dining area. Gossip is probably a great place to go for a drink later when it is undoubtedly more lively. Definitely worth a try.

We wanted a quick dinner before the show and Gossip fit the bill perfectly! My wife and I had one of our favorite Irish Pub dishes, Sheppard's Pie, and our daughter had a chicken, bacon, and avocado Panini, and we all shared a side of the homemade potato chips. The portions were ample -- my wife & I could have split a Sheppard's Pie and been stuffed, and the dishes well prepared and well spiced. The Sheppard's Pie was classic, with the peas & carrots on the bottom, then the ground beef, and topped off by mashed potatoes. Irish comfort food! The homemade potato chips were awesome!

Picked this restaurant due to close proximity to our hotel and Wicked, plus we were tired of Italian food. Although this is billed as an Irish pub, it didn't have any Irish menu items, mostly American food with an Irish name, like the Gaelic burger. We sat at a table in the bar area but were not offered the bar menu. We sampled a steak, a steak sandwich, and a Gossip burger All were great, but two of the three orders came out wrong and had to be sent back. The waitress claimed she didn't hear us. Since it was 6:15 and not all that crowded, not sure what the issue was, but I also noticed the wait staff eating and texting on phones behind the bar in full view of customers which is a negative in my book. However, food and ambiance were good.

Had a good time, as usual. I was welcomed warmly - as a regular should be - by Christine, the first server I had years ago when I first tried Gossip. Owen the bartender? Still waiting for a bump up in your customer service skills before you see that we're racking up a big bill. Gossip now sports a new menu, which is a definite plus! Some really nice, new, updated, more modern items. Some of the classics are now on the bar menu only...but anyone can order them. The Gossip Spicy Shrimp is back to its awesome true rock shrimp, cherry tomatoes, and fingerling potatoes. The bread tastes even better than before. The sauce was a little off last night, but still stellar. And the new Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese & quesadilla?! IN MY FACE!!!
