After going to Gordon Ramsey's Steak resturant in Las Vegas we thought it would be awesome to try this resturant while near Hollywood. Unfortunatly it was a big disappointment. The staff were good, but that was the only good part. The dining room is very run down. The food selection is very minimal and what we did order was very small portions and not great quality. We would not recommend this resturant.

Gordon did not disappoint at all. The restaurant, food and entire experience was just perfect. Vince was our server and he could not have been better. He was very attentive, but did not rush us at all (we were there from 8 to 11:30). He was also so personable, funny even, and gave good recommendations. OMG the food! Had marrow toast which I have never had before and it was so delicious. So was the braised pork belly with clams (genius) and the grilled octopus. I had the lamb, which I typically don't order in restaurants, but it was yummy and the Thai-flavored sea bass, and lobster risotto were both to die for. Am I going on and on? Yes, and Gordon Ramsay deserves it. This guy knows what he is doing. He should have his own TV show. :)

Really enjoyed the experience, service was great and ambiance was good, unfortunately the people on the next table were loud we could hear their conversation, very irritating but they left before our main course. The food was good, the crispy rice on the tuna tartare was a little hard and stuck to your teeth, the presentation and taste were very good. The sea bass was excellent, my only complaint is that they shouldn't serve it in a small soup bowl, it was hard to eat, a flatter larger bowl would have improved the presentation and the ability to get it from the dish to the mouth! I personally like to see what 'Im eating and taste things separately, hard to do in the bowl. Overall I would highly recommend the restaurant

Maybe my expectations were too high. I felt that I was really in a hotel restaurant.. I was expecting restaurant a little bit more modern. The overall experience was ok. The food is great and tasteful (we had the famous beef wellington), the only point is that it was too rare in the middle that was hard to cut and eat. We also had The service was very good.

Visited to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant were wonderful. The Hostess greeted us by congratulating and thanking us for choosing their restaurant to celebrate. No sommelier came to the table so our wine order was taken by our waiter. Ordered a 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon and received a 2012 Pinot Noir (at least they were from the same winery!). We had the beef wellington for 2 and it was fantastic. The pastry was delicately perfect and the meat tender to the point we cut it with a butter knife. Other tables received special desserts for their celebrations but we didn't receive anything. The food is the only reason we might consider giving them a second chance.

I had a really bad experience at the restaurant. I expected so much more about the food and the service we went form Mexico to have an special dinner. I have been in Las Vegas and in London and it was amazing my experience, unfortunately in Los Angeles was awful. First of all, they didn't want to serve us the tasting menu, the appetizer was good but my meat was cold and i had to ask twice to warm it up. My husbands meal had a lot of salt. We ask for bread twice and when we want to had dessert they didn't have what we want. I feel so bad because my husband loves your food and I made the reservation as a surprise and it wasn't what we excepted.

We picked our anniversary trip based on wanting Gordon's beef Wellington. We were going to go to Vegas but we choose California since my husband never had been there. It was our wedding anniversary dinner and the food was outstanding! Very good! The only thing I was shocked about was the decor of the place. My seat literally had a huge rip in it. It seemed fancy yet very out dated and in need of a remodel.

The ambiance has a 70's feel to it - no privacy. The service was excellent - friendly, accommodating staff. The food was delicious but the portions were very-very small. If you want people to be satisfied, then you need to add a few more breadsticks to the appetizer; more vegetables to the salmon dish; and a little more lobster to the risotto.

A nice and convenient restaurant for those staying at the London hotel. Service was good and speed of food and service very good. Ambience perhaps a little quiet for regular conversation/awkward at times. For a lovely restaurant I was disappointed to see diners allowed to dine in baseball caps, flip flops and shorts. Me he offered some different options to things I have tried before. Good wine and cocktails list with helpful staff to guide. All in all a nice meal but not amazing compared to a lot of restaurants these days.

Have been meaning to check this place out for some time now as I've heard some great things from friends for a while, and had been to the bar before but never actually had dinner. Glad I did, the food was excellent to say the least. Our starter of clams was wonderful followed by the filet which was perfectly prepared and very, very flavorful. Perhaps most impressive however was the impeccable service throughout the evening, from valet to our server and busser, everyone was extremely nice, attentive and professional. Loved experiencing that. Altogether a great time and I won't hesitate to recommend.

Great place and totally worth the money. Food was excellent by American standards, although gnocchi were slightly doughy and the filet mignon overcooked (ordered medium-rare, got almost medium-well). Great seasoning och awesome produce. Delicious, not-too-expensive wine as well. Some downsides, hostess slightly arrogant and not helpful at all. Waiter's wine knowledge was very limited, he didn't even know which vintages they had (and the menu was mistaken). Bartender didn't seem to know the difference between France and Italy (ordered Bordeaux-red, got a wine from Tuscany). Despite these mistakes, a full dinner (including a lot of wine) for 80 dollars/person is a very worthy expenditure!

After a 10 minute wait we were finally seated and given menus. After another 15 minutes the waiter appeared and offered us a choice of prosecco or a cocktail. We ordered two cocktails. When they didn't arrive we were told that the regular bartender was "on a break." We ordered food. Another 10 minute wait. First course arrived - the risotto was nothing special. At this point we had only water to drink. We asked the waiter to at least bring us the wine we had ordered. He did, along with two complimentary glasses of prosecco. By this time the second course arrived along with the two (rather bad) cocktails. The main course (steak) was good, but nothing special really. The dessert was very good and the wine reasonably priced. Disappointing.

Had the bone marrow toast and scallops for an app and they were both amazing. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Had the beef wellington as our main course, which came with mixed veg, a bean parcel wrapped in bacon, and potato fondant. The wellington was out of this world! We were so stuffed by the end we had to forfeit the last succulent piece of beef. It was the most amazing piece of meat I ever had.

I read some mixed reviews and after trying it myself, I was delighted by the delicious food and clean plating, and the attentive service. WOW!!!! What can I say about Gordon Ramsey at the London? It was unbelievable. The waiter Ben was tremendous. Very friendly, and suggested a fantastic desert. The food was incredible. I had the Beef Wellington for 2. At a price of $100.00, which avg. $50 per person, it was well worth it. This was the best meal I had anywhere, including home cooked meals. It was so good, I went back 4 days later, and will make GR a stop every time I visit LA.

After exceptional meals at Gordon Ramsay's Maze in London, England and at Steak in Las Vegas, were excited to try the London in West Hollywood. Had dinner there to celebrate a birthday which the restaurant was advised of when reservation was made. Service was okay, but nothing to brag about. The attentiveness of the staff was lacking. . Ordered Beef Wellington. The meat was not seared or seasoned. It was cooked rare to mostly raw in the center. The pastry around the beef lacked filling. No mushroom/chestnut pate around the beef; only a shred of ham around one piece of meat. When we asked about something for the birthday celebration, we were told that if we ordered dessert, they would do something. That's pretty rude for any restaurant.

All around bad experience. Started off bad after walking into empty front desk, had to wait about 5 minutes for the hostess to walk back to the front - and mind you, the restaurant was only about 60% full. Waiter started fine but turned out to be terrible. Ordered a bottle of champagne which the waiter didn't bother to follow etiquette and allow me to taste first then over poured for both of us while spilling on my hand (gee, thanks). The appetizers were okay, nothing special. The main, Beef Wellington was delicious although cold. Waiter didn't bother to come by to pour another glass of the champagne, had to get up and walk about ten feet away to find my bottle and pour myself. Had to find a busboy to get my check as waiter MIA.

The service was excellent. Server is attentive , refilled water and switch new plates. Food was excellent. Tried beef wellington yummy. $100 for 2 people very reasonable. also tried the 8 course small plates $65, the portions were literally "small" but at the end of the 8th plate very fulfilling. Especially love the scallop. The only down side I would say is, I ordered ice tea they offer hot tea with ice which is still the same, but the fact they charge $9 for a tea bag was too expensive( unless is it was some fancy brand but it looks like a typical avg tea bag) . At that price, I expect actual loose leaves at a restaunt like this.
