Chef Gordon Ramsay’s first Los Angeles restaurant offers fine-dining inspired by California’s fresh produces. Under the direction of Executive Chef Anthony Keene - the Michelin-starred restaurant serves Western European cuisine with regional influences, and menus change regularly based on seasonal offerings. Enjoy a variety of market specials, several a la carte dishes. The ambiance is glamorous and energetic, with posh dining rooms that overlook dramatic views of the city skyline. Servers are knowledgeable and approachable, while an onsite Sommelier can recommend from a list of more than 500 bottles. Open daily for dinner.

  • "We were excited to try one of Gordon's LA spots as we are Vegas regulars. I was not impressed with the front of the house as their egos were way over the top but the food was worth it. The Risotto was perfect and the fish was one of the most flavorful we both have had in a long long time. We were pleasantly surprised as the LA food scene is lacking BIG TIME when compared to Las Vegas! We will be back! "

  • "We are avid fans of Gordon Ramsay and his television shows and our dream was to try the Beef Wellington for two which we did - it was amazing, as were our risotto and agnolotti appetizers. We had the chocolate dessert and the lemon tart which were also both wonderful. The layering of flavours and presentation were both stunning. Lovely venue in the adorable London Hotel right off Sunset Strip. The valet parking with validation is also very reasonable and great service. We were in LA for the weekend all the way from Vancouver BC Canada and it was well worth the special trip to this restaurant! Our only disappointment was no Gordon sighting! For fans of High Tea please note this is offered in one of the other venues at the hotel."

  • "We wanted to try a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and had our opportunity with a visit to Hollywood. The restaurant was centrally located. The restaurant is within a hotel, but one must search the place to find the restaurant. We were promptly greeted and seated quickly contacted by our servers. There was very nice music with a live performer. The staff was great. Seemed like a long wait for food and then when finished before plates cleared and check delivered. The food was average and the steak knife was duller than a butter knife. The experience was ok, but very expensive for just an average meal. Would not recommend this restaurant. Expected much more from a GR restaurant. NUTSHELL: Too expensive and not good enough meal. Sorry."

  • "Liked the nice view of downtown (it really depends of where you sit), and when the sun sets, the brass and blues of the restaurant's decor give it a very nice ambience...almost opulent. The upholstery is showing some wear (probably from the breakfast and lunch crowd from the hotel. I thought the bigger tables for large groups were ideal - a couple of extra rooms for special occassions too. The service was prompt, unobtrusive yet friendly. As far as the food, I thought it was over-salted or over-buttered. I think the restaurant really focuses on their signature dish (the beef wellington), which looked good (but we weren't in the mood). The mussels were good but everything else I had was forgettable."

  • "We ordered the bass ceviche type dish for our appetizer with an unexpected surprise of popcorn as one of the ingredients. The popcorn definitely did not compliment the other ingredients at all. We got the hanger steak, garlic rolls, beef filet & cauliflower. They were all ok except for the hanger steak. It was supposed to be medium rare, but the closer you get to the middle of the steak, it was mostly raw. Not rare. Raw. The meat was marinated with a bbq type sauce & what was really upsetting to me was the tomato sauce over the steak. It tasted like canned tomato sauce which i did not expect from a high end restaurant & especially on a steak. I did point out the raw meat & was offered a complimentary bread pudding & that was really good"

  • "We went to The London in West Hollywood. I took my teenage daughter who loves to try new places and different foods. She really wanted to eat at one of Chef Ramsay's restaurants. The decor was nice although just a bit worn. The service was very good. The food left something to be desired. We started with bone marrow toast, it had good flavors but the toast was quite oily which killed it for me. The gnocchi was very good but the beef wellington was a big disappointment The meat was tough and lacked flavor, except mushroom. The presentation was quite pretty though. We had celebration cake for dessert which looked wonderful and tasted very good. Although the meal was a disappointment the experience was good."

  • "We were recently there for our 10th year anniversary and I must say it was a once in a lifetime experience that I would gladly do again. Service was awesome. Everyone greeted us nicely and were sat down at the exact time of our reservation. Food is to die for. We had the beef wellington and its one of the best pieces of meat I've had in a while. For dessert they brought us out a super nice plate that said "happy anniversary" a very thoughtful idea of them to do. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's a very romantic and quiet atmosphere. Valet parking was very quick also so very happy with that. One of the best nights of my life."

  • "It was my second visit to this restaurant. My previous one was about two years ago. I have to admit, i don't know if chef is different or their conception is changed in general, but it was not as good as it was the first time. My husband had lamb dish the first time we came and the second time too. The dish was kinda the same, but during the last visit it lacked some more texture. He still liked though. I got salmon, i liked the outside of fillet crispy and an idea of kinda burned. It was interesting, but maybe too much burned flavor for my palate. It seems that because the popularity of this place went down, they decided to save up some money on the quality of food. The service and ambiance were really good!I would come back one day"

  • "I've been to this restaurant before. Both times that I went before the food was phenomenal. This time the food was good, but I missed the duck fat fries. The first glass of wine I had was not very good. The second was much better. The steak was good. Overall it was good, but didn't "wow" me as it has in the past. I would still come back though because I like that each time I have gone the menu has been quite different, so I never know what to expect."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner very much. We ordered the truffle risotto, which was very delightful. We also ordered the tuna tartare, the seabass entree, and a grilled octopus salad. Our waiter, Alex, was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. Cafe and Doughnuts made for a fantastic finish. There was also a really great female singer in the lounge which improved the ambience."

  • "What used to be a favorite has now become a place to avoid. The service was less than stellar and our waiter seemed uninterested and lacked any enthusiasm when describing the items on the menu. The wine list used to have an interesting variety and now consists of grocery store selections. The staff are dressed in uniforms that have seen better days and at be time probably used to fit them. I had been a frequent Payton of this establishment but now will not go back and will encourage my friends to steer clear of this once favorite spot"

I am surprised Gordon Ramsey owns or has his name associated with this place; at least it makes him a lot of money. The service was good."

Although he did not meet him, he did receive a signed photograph and I arranged to have a special small birthday cake prepared for him. The food was memorable and prepared to perfection. Just what I'd expect from a Chef Ramsey restaurant. I'll be back again soon."

  • "One of my fav resturants to visit during Dine LA. We dined around 9pm during the week and there was no wait. Service was great. The dim lighting made it difficult to take pictures. The food was delish! The buratta salad is a must so yummy & the amount of cheese in the dish is perfect to indulge! The beef welligton is a must. The first time I tried it, it was perfect! This time, maybe because of the later servce, it was yummy but not as amazing. The bread pudding dessert was amazing! Overall I loved my meal! Valet parking is a bit expensive here."

  • "My wife and I went here to celebrate a late Valentine's day (the 16th). The view to the south is very nice (it is up on Sunset blvd), although you won't see a whole lot. The service was very good. The waiter advised us of the "small portions" as noted by other reviewers, and quality vs. quantity, kudos for his honesty. My wife and I were hungry, so we ordered the beef wellington, which was NOT a small portion (it is served for two). It was extremely good, nice and rare and beautifully prepared, the crust was also excellent. The one complaint was it did not come with enough of the "au jus" sauce, but wow was it tasty. I had a couple of glasses of Merlot, and with our charbroiled cauliflower appetizer it was $160. Expensive but satisfying."

  • "friendly staff. pleasant seating and colors. like a tiffany jewelry box. the wine list and the menu are manageably brief with good but not excessively expensive choices. the chef was accommodating to a special request. our waiter was uninformed. he was pleasant, but not the kind of professional that you would expect at restaurant of this type or price. there was a live singer in the bar area and she was very good and beautifully enhanced our experience. dessert was meh. i had pineapple cake with coconut ice cream and my husband had cheese plate. neither was exceptional. fortunately, was washed it down with delicious, reasonably priced port with a generous pour. i would go again and sit in the bar area."

  • "I could go on and on about how amazing and extravagant the presentation and tastes were, but I'd wind up just sounding ridiculous. Just know that it's AMAZING. Everything about it. At $95 a person it was a bit expensive for my boyfriend and I, but definitely worth every penny and no regrets! A great special treat and one of the best meals/nights of my entire life."

  • "Booked a table for Valentine's Day. Had great expectations, based upon reputation and past dining at his restaurant in New York. But this was hugely disappointing, and in all aspects. The food was nothing special, and his 'signature dish" the Beef Wellington, was underwhelming- salty, not particularly tender, and even the knife was inadequate to cut it without some effort. The dessert was poor (one part too bitter, the other too sweet. The service was something out of a chain restaurant. On a value for money basis, this is not worth it. Gordon may well be a genius (I am a huge fan), but this appears to be a classic example of spreading ones' empire (restaurants, tv shows, books, etc) too thin. He would not have been happy that evening."

  • "I have eaten here several times over the past few years, and I was alarmed by how the food quality is slipping. We ate one night in the Boxwood Cafe and another night had reservations at Ramsay's. Both menus were identical! It was "Restaurant Week LA" but that is no reason to have the exact same menus in both places. The quality of the food was not what I am used to getting at a Ramsay's, really mediocre. I'll go back to Spago the next time I visit LA."

  • "When you hear the name "Gordan Ramsay" your expectations for food and service are at an exceptionally High standard... unfortnately the service or food didn't meet those expectations. The food was not delivered to the table all at one time. Our server forgot to put in an appetizer order and then it was put in late and the food and appetizer came out at the same time. We ordered the Filet with peppercorn and their flavor was lacking of peppercorn on the filet and we needed to ask for additional sauce to flavor the meat. Coffee was not refilled in a timely manner, and ofter overlooked when filling other tables. Overall, we weren't real impressed and a little dissappointed."

  • "This was a relaxing experience. The decor is well thought out, the food was really well presented and the service good. I wasn't thrilled by the wine list and was served a 2010 Sonoma Cabernet whilst the menu advertised it as a 2009. Possibly a little picky on my part, but there is actually a huge difference. All in all a well crafted restaurant but how it stands up next to Gordon Ramsey's others I'm not so sure."

  • "A disappointing terrible experience. I wonder if Gordon Ramsay even know the London is giving him a bad reputation. The food wasn't great, lack luster and small portions. The best part was the dessert but you can find great dessert anywhere. I was very surprised by the $10 valet charge. I know the restaurant is in a hotel but we were told the restaurant validates. To me this means it's free parking but instead the validation was only a $4 discount bringing the charge from $14 to $10. No where was there any signage advising us of a charge. If the food was superb, I might have overlooked this flaw but overall I had a very negative experience."

  • "The restaurant only offered the restaurant week menu, but that was ok since that was the reason I had chosen to eat there. I had eaten here previously so I knew what to expect. Honestly it wasn't as good as last time. It could have been that they only had the specific menu to choose from and not the full menu. I ordered the sweet breads and octopus for appetizers. The sweet breads were good but a little greasy. The polenta that came with it was cold. The octopus was surprisingly good but the chucks of tentacles were a little large. We ordered the Beef Wellington. Sad to say, I wasn't a fan. The crust tasted similar to a Pillsbury crust and the steaks flavor was ok. I had the butter ice cream and cake for dessert, not a fan of the cake."
