Vegetable tacos were fantastic. Everything was fresh and I liked the way they placed a soft taco on the outside of the hard taco shell. A very pleasant dining experience. I go there with two friends several times a year, and we're never disappointed. One had the margarita pizza which was a bit appetizer like, though it was plenty enough for them. The other had the veggie tacos which were super - recommend this one. I had the miso mahi which was also good. Atmosphere a little noisy, but service was great and their home brew beers are a refreshing change. It was a little pricey, especially the drinks and the appetizers for the amount you were given. We ordered the southwest spring rolls which were very good but it only served 4 and for almost $10 you would think you would get more than 4. My husband's burger was very good but he did say it was warm and not hot. It was definitely busy because we went right in the middle of happy hour but we were seated right away even though there was a long wait for other groups because I had made the reservation. Due to heavy activity in town, the reservation was critical and well worth it. Going to Gordon Biersch was a unanimous decision as everyone in the party was familiar with the restaurant. It was a great experience. I will dining there again soon and I will recommend it to everyone I know go goes to DC and the Verizon Center.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThis will be your favoriteClose to the Verizon Center, this fun restaurant is a great go to place before or after a sporting event. Or any other event in the the area. I prefer the standard American dishes and of course their famous Garlic Fries. They are a micro brew and their beers are all great. Order the sampler and pick your fav. They have an excellent wine list and a full bar...all complimated by their amazingly friendly staff. And, their Passport program is the best frequent diner program around. You can make a reservation and go to the head of the line! Did I say you get dining points that translate into cash or dinner for a group. I understand there will soon be a new GB near the ballpark. Another chance to get good food and drink! The room filled quickly with other guests as well, but it never became noisy to any degree.
