I've always loved eating in this location. I'm from the south bay & I'd rather eat here than in the one in San Jose. The service isn't that great in the south bay location & plus they always have really obnoxious customers. I prefer to eat here coz the ambience is chill, it never gets too crowded & the service is fast & their servers are really nice. Great freshly-brewed beer selection. & this place is a plus for bseball fans coz its quite close to the ballpark, its right along Embacardero. Just bring a sweater coz its really gets chilly, especially when you're gonna eat outside :)

Unfortunately every time we go to Gordon Biersch, we get a bad server. Our server never brought us our complimentary bread nor the condiments (such as mustard, ketchup, etc) based on what we ordered. He was not at all attentive to our needs nor even checked on us after our food arrived. We felt that he really could care less to serve us and we noticed that he was more attentive to other tables surrounding us; maybe it was because we had kids with us. The food was mediocre.....the fried calamari appetizer was not fried to perfection; there were some soggy pieces. The different burgers we ordered was just okay.....not really worth the price of $11. The cheese on the burger where pretty chintzy. In n Out burger would be a better deal

This is a perfect place for lunch or dinner prior to attendinga San Francisco Giants game. On game days the place is full of fans. The beer list is extensive, the food is average, but better than ballpark lunch. The service was friendly and efficient and it is an esy walk to ATT Park. We have been ther before and will continue to use this restaurant when we go to ballgames.

Great beer and burgers, a favorite of ours. Very reasonably priced and also an easy walk from our apartment. Service was a bit slow, but we had a really nice waiter. I think they were short staffed, because the manager took our drink order, apologized for our waiter being so busy and he did not charge us for our first round of drinks.

The restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, excellent service. The meal was exceptional and had no problems settling in for a 3 course meal. Our 8 year old son enjoyed the meal and colouring in activities provided. The service was friendly and exceeded our expectations.

Food was average at best. Crab on my seafood Cobb salad was green? I would go tp Pyramid or B.J's next time. Had to ask rather than be offered additional glasses of beer. Waiter seemed aloof as if he would rather be elsewhere. Special request Brthday cake was delivered sans candle and unceremoniously. Parking was a pain. Spent $190 for five people including tip for an unexceptional 21st birthday celebration.

For the kind of money you are spending on dinner there, its way too loud. The grill area of the kitchen is open to the dining area and the clammering of pots & dishes is rather annoying. I do not recommend going there if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, its too loud with too many people revolving around the tables.

The food was much better than I expected. I asked for medium well on my steak, and it came out perfectly. Not too hard, and not too soft; just the right amount of tenderness. The fries were garlic and had a good amount of flavor. The beer had a certain tanginess to it, and it came in a relatively big glass; more than half liter. I would've ordered another if I didn't have to go back to work. Nice decor, nice waiter, and hostess. Overall, a good experience with a terrific view of the bay bridge.

We had a great time at Gordon Biersch. There were a couple of ordering blunders, where we were given the wrong accompaniments and a one of the rib-eyes was asked to be cooked medium-well, but was actually rare. Other than, service was great. The server was fantastic and very apologetic. We had a large group and he handled himself very well. Thank again!

Gordon Biersch SF is one of 3 GB brewery/restaurants in the SF Bay Area. They all offer a wide selection of excellent house-made beers plus surprisingly good tasting and hardy food - ranging from appetizers to full-sized entree's and tasty desserts. An excellent place to enjoy superior beer from the tap plus good hearty "pub" food. Service was very good. My only complaint was the noise level in the restaurant. If you arrive after 5pm - you get a reduction in the price of parking in the underground garage located in the same building as the restaurant.

Location is everything with G.B. in San Fran below the Bay Bridge. They were out of my husband's selection (I'll never understand how that happens) and my lobster bisque was luke warm w/no lobster to be found. There was a very light crowd at lunch and our wait staff was friendly and attentive. Honestly, we may have hit an 'off day', but I wouldn't recommend it for the food. Location is handy.

My friends and I thought it would be fun to get some bar food and Oktober Fest beer. Beer was great. Check in at the hostess was unwelcoming; she conveyed a sense of being interrupted. Server was mechanical and did not know the menu well. Server did refill drinks well. Pretzels were fabulous with 2 mustard sauces. Fried calamari was weak. The description for the vegetarian pizza said pesto sauce, but it had a red sauce. The lobster burger was a special for the month, beef pattie with a paultry 1.5 teaspoons of lobster meat; why bother? Quite a disappointing dinner

The dinning area was energized both inside and outside, where we had a nice view of the Bay Bridge in the background. We went to Gordon Biersch Brewery to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. He wanted to go to a brew pub and we were not disappointed. This was a hot spot with great beers, food and a fun ambience. Located under the Bay Bridge, just off the Embaradero, there were great views from the front of the restaurant. A food favorite of our daughter's was the Mac N' Cheese Ravolis--mine was a personal veggie pizza. The menu features light fare to heavier meals like steak/potatoes. The night was made extra special by a delicious complimentary piece of chocolate cake for the 21 year old. I would highly recommend Gordon Biersch Brewery for a special night out.

I was never asked if I wanted another beer - surprising for a brewery. Hostess was not at all friendly. I remember when this place used to be great - not sure what has happened, but now I know why few tables were filled.
