Good Earth RosevilleLunch on the deckGood Earth has a deck that, though it faces the freeway, is lined with flower pots, covered with a canopy, and staffed with friendly servers. It was a little windy when we were there but the server made sure that, for example, our water didn't have stray windblown seeds in it. My only complaint was that we were seated in a corner by the beverage cart which is a noisy place for guests. The food was unusual and very tasty. Good Earth has always served up fresh and natural fare in creative and inventive ways, yet it's not too funky, so it continues to please the masses. You can get a variety of dishes, from stir fry, to sandwiches or wraps, to full meals. And their baked goods are fabulous as well! My only complaint is the noise level. Service was acceptable but nothing exceptional. The corn cakes were very tasty, fluffy, and had real corn in them. A little syrup and they were delicious. The veggie dish had a nice mix of mushrooms, tomatoes, zuchini and potatoes topped by a perfectly done poached eggs. The restaurant was extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon, and I was SO thankful for making reservations on OpenTable.com! We were seated promptly, due to the reservations, and the waitress was a bit slow to wait on us. The place was buzzing with patrons as the tables were all filled with various age groups. We were able to place our drink order, but had to take some time to browse the vast menu. From all day breakfast to dinner entrees, we had many choices! We started out with the middle eastern plate as an appetizer, and this was SO delicious! Good experience overall! The Right Size menu, Tender Prices selections and the Monthly Specials with the various featured ingredients are always great. The fact that most entrees are less than $16 allows guests to also get one of the wines. it's not an expansive list, but includes featured wines which are not regular selections. Their sustainable and organic vendors are listed on the website, and you can actually get the name, address, and phone number of the producers! Had to swish together to fit everyone in but made it work. Most everyone ordered breakfast-type items and overall everyone was pleased. The only real "complaint" was that the bacon was underdone although it had been ordered crispy, so if you like crispy bacon, make sure to stress that when you order. Also, the upgrade to the organic maple syrup for $2.00 was a bit pricey considering the tiny amount that you get. The kids meals were decent sized and affordable. We sat right down, and once again had a very flavorful meal. Lots of great choices for vegetarians and vegans, but plenty to make us carnivores happy as well.
