A word from Good Earth Edina
Come for food that's "so good, so natural, so close to the earth," writes Citysearch.com, "that it doesn't need much augmentation."

The Good Earth, however,
receives plenty of adulation --- from critics impressed with our commitment to top ingredients, to a loyal clientele that make the
Good Earth their first choice for hearty, healthy eating. Both locations offer a diverse menu ranging from comfort food classics to fiery curries. Yet it's not just the cooking that earns accolades...

"Good things come in the attitude of the servers, who know the menu and do everything they can to enhance your dining experience; and the airy, pleasant feel of these spaces that were smoke-free long before it became PC."

Food is always good but the service continues to decline. No bread served with dinner, no follow up for a second drink and no check back from server on how meal was

This is the second time in a row that we've had "indifferent service." Our wait person was not outwardly rude but s/he was not smiling and acted as it it were a chore to serve us. It happened the time before with a different wait person. Maybe the staff needs some retraining in manners? It is really too bad because the food and setting were exactly what we were looking for.

We were there after the rush - reservation was for 9:00AM. We were outside and although you basically have a parking lot view, it was just fine. The server was outstanding! Food was good but not anything really special.

We were a party of 6 and everyone had different needs (vegetarians, meat eater, fish eaters) which were all well satisfied. The little "Just right for you" meals are a wonderful idea in our world of too-large portions and unhealthful food. I wish all restaurants would do this! The manager, Wendy, went out of her way to welcome us. There are only 2 tables for 6 in the restaurant. When I reserved the table, I mentioned that we had someone with hearing difficulties in our party. The table they reserved for us turned out to be perfect. He was able to hear well and take part in the conversations. This restaurant has always been one of our favorites because the food is delicious and healthful, and there are so many choices.

Loved the apps. Nachos and edamame. Meals were mixed. Asian dishes were muddy. No distinct flavors. Drinks tasty. Service was flaky and with too much attitude. Prices high for quality.

Two of us met an out-of-town colleague at the Good Earth for an early business dinner. We were able to conduct our business privately in a booth, and without obtrusive service, and yet we were able to get our food and drinks promptly, and our sodas were refilled without disruption. The three of us all ordered vegan options, and found the food to be extremely tasty!

Go to this restaurant a lot for lunch. This time it was dinner. Ordered the vegetarian enchiladas - not only were they lukewarm, but the sauce tasted like a can of tomato sauce was poured over it. Nothing noteworthy here to say about that night's food. However, as usual, the service was great.

I eat lunch often at Good Earth and love its menu. The choices and quality of food are outstanding; I wanted my husband to try it. It was our anniversary and while we normally go to more formal restaurants for that occasion, we needed to stick close to home that night and I suggested G Earth. We sat for 10 minutes b4 our waitress noticed us, and that's how the service continued. She dropped our check and I asked if we could order dessert. She left my empty dinner plate in front of me after serving dessert b/c her was heading to another table, we had empty drinks and empty water glasses/carafe while having dessert. Felt like we were supposed to hurry up and leave. I'm a big fan of Good Earth, but wouldn't go back for any special dinner.

I met a friend at the Good Earth in Edina just to catch up and spend some time together. We were thrilled that we didn't have to scream over the music or crowd chatter that we typically encounter, and they had a Monday night bottled wine special that was phenomenal - a selection of 10 wines (5 whites; 5 reds), each of which cost just $10). We enjoyed a perfect evening, sipping wine, talking, and enjoying some healthy food options (vegetable stir-fry & spinach salad). We had such a nice time we're going to return in a couple of weeks!

We went to the Good Earth to visit with my niece and sister who came in from Dallas. they were both impressed with the choices for brunch and both selected the short stack of pancakes. These are huge and more than plenty for both appetities. I chose the seasonal lemon ricotta pancakes which are delicious if you have a sweet tooth. But my husband chose an exceleent turkey sausage/egg/potato/cheese selection that all of us couldn't help but admire in presentation so much that we had to help him eat some of it! We will defenitely be back soon! Loved making reservations on open table too. It was so easy and we were seated immediately!

The food and service was great. However the hostess, a middle aged woman with grey streaked black hair, was rude and unpleasant. I was 5 minutes late for my reservation and she said , "oh you are the no show" and made a big deal of trying to find a place for me, all the while frowning and generally being condescending.

I go to the Good Earth sometimes two times a week. I have always had great food and great service. I ordered oatmeal, which was delicious. I also ordered a small fruit bowl, which is way overpriced for the amount you get. Most places give a much larger portion for a much smaller price. I have always had excellent service, but today, I felt the waitress was less than cordial. When she asked how the food was I said that the oatmeal was great but the cantaloupe tasted moldy. She asked if she should bring me a different one, and I said "no thank you". She never apologized, and was somewhat abrupt. This is the first time this has happened here. I always have excellent waiters and waitresses.
