Great service and the food was outstanding...but the best part was the ambiance!!! If you like Sinatra, Martin and Davis...well this is the place to go as it is surrounded in memorabilia from that era. There was music playing the whole time and it was just a relaxing and fun experience. Our meal...the petite filet and lobster was outstanding...but too much food...so next time we'll definitely share something. It can be a bit pricey but well worth the extra cost. We'll definitely be back!! Everyone handled it very courteously. We had a great server and great patrons with a sense of humor. The food was excellent as usual and very prompt. We couldn't stay for the end of the show, but hope everything turned out OK. We didn't see anything on the news so we assumed all was well. You have a great staff. Rika greeted us when we entered and her smile lit up the room. She could not have been more accommodating and gracious. She is a true asset and ambassador for the Steer. We decided to have a cocktail at the bar and Rika held our table until we were ready all the while checking on our well being. We sat down and Fabian the waiter was a true gem. His level of service coupled with Cliff simply added to the fantastic experience had by the four of us. Even the busser, Joseph exceeded our expectations with service. Every meal is a la carte which makes the meal a little pricey, although you do get an abundance of food. One would definitely not leave hungry. The prime rib is delicious and at 18oz is a killer. You can't replicate the authentic atmosphere and impeccable service levels in any of the newer places in town. The steaks are perfect, the sides are amazing (creamed corn!!!) and I love the old school (more like traditional in this place)table side salad preparation. This is a place to drink in the experience. We held their 53rd wedding anniversary dinner there and as always not disappointed. It might appeal to the "old" vegas crowd more than the new but it is a great place to dine. The staff are awesome, the service is great and the food as always was tremendous. The Golden Steer was at least as good as we remembered from our first date. My filet was cooked to (medium rare) perfection. The twice baked potato was as light, and flavorful (was that a hint of bacon?) As any I've had. My wife's Salmon (I know, fish?) Was equally flavorful and though the dill cream sauce was a bit more than she liked she reports it was excellent, allowing the Salmon flavor to come through. Her broccolli side was also crisp and flavorful, not cooked to near mush like some places provide. Shared Creme Brulee for dessert. Perfect. Service was attentive without being over-bearing and finally, our host (owner?)
